Chapter Text
It was nearly midnight, on a new moon. It was raining hard outside, a dreary winter night. There was flashes of lightning, and cracks of thunder. And in a hospital, a baby had just been born.
It cried , squirming in the arms of the doctor. It had pitch black skin, unlike the usual guest pale white, with patches of light purple wool. There were tiny horn buds on its head, little claws on its hands and hooves on its feet. It’s mouth was filled with sharp teeth as well.
“…at the very least, it seems to be a healthy baby.” The doctor said, a slight frown on his face. He had never seen a case like this… but the baby, despite its oddities, did seem fine.
“Something must be terribly wrong with me! Such an abomination must be a punishment from 2x2 Itself!” The mother wailed, bursting into tears, already weakened from the intensely painful birth.
“No, no, dear, it’s not your fault. It must be some strange fluke of the universe. Don’t blame yourself.” The father reassured, shaking his head as he held his wife’s hand. Thunder boomed outside, rain pouring down harder and harder.
All the while, the baby continued crying.

It had been 11 years since that night. █████ was sitting outside [ ] house, feeling quite glum. Spring break was almost over, so [ ] would have to go back to school. █████ hated school. None of [ ] classmates seemed to like [ ], mocking █████ for [ ] horns, [ ] claws, and everything odd about [ ].
None of █████’s teachers even seemed to care either, always just telling [ ] to ignore them. [ ] had tried that, and they still never let up. And [ ] STUPID parents didn't care either, █████ suspected they hated [ ], █████ vividly remembered the time [ ] mother had gotten drunk and called [ ] an abomination. She had claimed to not really mean it, but █████ knew otherwise. It all made [ ] so mad!
[ ] growled, clenching [ ] fists, beginning to tear up some grass, angrily kicking [ ] feet.
“Hey, you shouldn’t do that. Grass doesnt like being ripped up!’ ” █████ heard a voice say. [ ] looked around for the source, seeing a girl. How had [ ] not noticed her? She had messy, seemingly self-cut brown hair, wearing a blue hoodie and black pants.
“I-i guess I wasn’t thinking about that.” █████ stammered, feeling a bit shy. [ ] dropped the grass in [ ] hands, looking away, ears drooping.
“What are you doing here all alone? My momma said I should check out our neighbors, we just moved here! My names 007n7, but most call me Seven.” The girl said, pointing to the house across the street.
“█████…, and it’s cause no one likes me. But theyre all stupid jerks anyways!” █████ scoffed, crossing [ ] arms.
007n7 frowned. “But you seem so likable!” She sat down to █████.
“They think im weird for how I look.” █████ gestured to [ ] horns.
“Well, theyre stupid. I think you look cool!” 007n7 grinned wide.
█████ blushed, smiling shyly. “T-thank you.”
“SEVEN! COME GET YOUR DINNER!” A woman stepped out of the house across the street, yelling for 007n7.
“Sorry ma! Didn’t realize it was getting late!” Seven yelled back. “Let’s talk more tommorow!” She said back at █████ as she left.
█████ waved back, kicking [ ] feet. [ ] finally had a friend! 007n7 was so cool…
