Beck Goes Shopping

Summary:

Exactly what the title says, with a side of his sadistic glee.

Notes:

This is a small companion to my fic Spider-Man: Far From Okay. It’s not my best work but I decided to post it because Part Two of Far From Okay isn’t coming quickly (especially since there’s SO MUCH going on in my life right now) and this was a small thing that I could do. It’s not my favorite, but it’s fine. Maybe someone will like it.

I also really wanted to do something from Beck’s perspective because UGHHHHH he makes me so crazy and I want to dissect his brain because he’s such an intriguing character.

Have fun and ENJOYYYYY!!! 💜

Work Text:

Before Beck kidnapped Peter, he studied his behavior in depth to see how to easily get to him, but something he couldn’t have predicted was just how much the kid ate. After about three weeks of being Beck’s honored guest, Peter had decided to start making his own breakfast, and damn he ate a lot.

It annoyed Beck to no end, but he did wash all the dishes he’d used afterwards, so Beck did his best to not yell at the kid. He wouldn’t make himself look like such a bad host after all. But it did eventually lead to the terrible problem of running out of food.

He was furious at Peter when he realized it. Damn, that kid was such a nuisance. Beck treated him so hospitably and this was how he got repaid? Ridiculous. The kid was cute, but he acted an annoying amount like Stark.

Well, never mind it. Looked like he’d just have to go on an impromptu shopping trip.

He’d leave Peter in The Basement while he went out.

~

“Peter, honey?” He called out as he made his way into the living room.

“What do you want, Beck?”

He found Peter curled up on the couch, reading, -a book Beck had so generously provided him with- looking annoyed, and wrapped up in Beck’s cape.

“You’re wearing my cape like a blanket.” Beck observed smugly, eyebrows raised.

Peter scowled and mumbled something about being cold, but Beck suspected he had other reasons. Something about it smelling nice, probably. But Beck wouldn’t press on that right now. He had a shopping trip to make, and he couldn’t leave the little spider lying around all by himself.

“What do you want?” Peter repeated.

Beck leaned on the arm of the couch and rested a hand on Peter’s head. Peter tried to pull away, but Beck had a firm grip on his hair.

“You ate all my food.” He told Peter, voice lined with fake cheerfulness.

“Oh no.” Peter deadpanned.

Beck’s grip tightened, pulling slightly on Peter’s hair. He yelped quietly and Beck smirked. He twirled one of Peter’s soft, pretty brown curls around his finger and loved how flustered it made him look. He was so damn easy to play with.

“You just love causing problems for me, don’t you Itsy-Bitsy?” He wondered.

“Yes.” Peter snapped.

Beck rolled his eyes, exasperated.

“You’re just like Stark.” He muttered. “Anyway. This is bad news for you as well because I can’t leave you alone in the house while I go shopping.” He fiddled with the syringe behind his back and grinned when Peter realized what he meant. “Basement time!”

Peter instantly tried to bolt away, but Beck had him pinned to the couch.

Ahh, how he relished the look of pure terror in Peter’s eyes as the needle sank into his neck.

Always so satisfying.

~

Beck knew that the kid liked pancakes, so he started by buying ingredients for those, like the kind and generous host he was. He also liked to eat a bowl of ice cream after his fun little sessions in The Basement. Then he would eat a cup of microwaved cup of ramen noodles for dinner.

He was such a weird kid.

He’d only spent a month with him and he was already sick of Peter. He was always complaining and being disrespectful, even though Beck did his very best to be hospitable. But no. All he got was the word “bastard” or “scumbag” thrown in his face. He wished he could ditch the kid now, but he’d promised himself he’d keep Peter for at least three months.

“Hey, you look like that Mysterio guy from what happened in London!”

It was said by an old man standing next to him in the frozen aisle. He turned fully to give the man a look of disdain. As much as he would love to take the credit for his brilliant escapades as Mysterio, he couldn’t go around revealing himself before he was done torturing Peter.

“Uhh, pretty sure you got the wrong guy.” He laughed and walked off.

Ugh, this was why it was such a bother that Peter had forced him to go shopping. He could be discovered going out in public like this.

He’d have to punish the little spider for this once he got home.

~

He put away the groceries first, then grabbed a syringe of the Special Peter Sedatives  before going back out to The Basement to retrieve Itsy-Bitsy.

~

He was cowered in the same corner he always was, shivering and crying like the pathetic thing he was. Beck had left him down there with a pre-made illusion of his girlfriend dying.

It was thrilling, really. Exhilarating, even, to see just how tortured he looked even though he knew nothing in The Basement was ever real.

Beck smiled gleefully as he sedated Peter once again. It was funny how he didn’t even put up a fight. Oh, how wonderful it was to see the damage he did to the poor child! He gathered Peter’s small, limp body into his arms. He carried him back to the house, set him down on the couch, and recocooned him in the cape to make it seem as if he hadn’t been to The Basement at all.

He chuckled to himself.

What fun psychological torture was!
