Chapter Text
Siris was relaxing on the couch after dinner, mindlessly scrolling through his phone as a sitcom from Netflix played in the background. Little Juno walked across to Siris till she was met with the back of Siris’s phone. She started swatting at his hand to get his attention.
“Ah. Juno, stop that. I’ll give you attention. Jeez,” He sets his phone down on the coffee table and sits up with Juno in his hands with a playful smirk on his face as he starts to pet her fur. Juno starts purring but it’s not what she’s truly looking for. She puts her paw on his hand to stop his movement and pats it a few times.
“That’s not what you want?” Juno gives a slight nod. “Well, what do you want then?” She wriggles out of his hands and leads Siris to the kitchen. She pulls out her empty bag of treats and sets them at Siris’s feet. He picks them up and inspects them. He tips the bag upside down only to have a few crumbs fall out.
“Huh, I guess I forgot to buy more treats for you last week,” Juno looks up at Siris with big pitiful eyes. She turns over and starts crying out dramatically. “Ok ok. “ I’m sorry,” Siris bends over to give Juno a sympathy pat on the head, “How bout we make you some treats to hold you over till I go to the store later?” Juno gives a little victory meow and perks up.
Siris goes to the top of the fridge to grab the cookbook and starts flipping through it, “Let’s see here. We could make biscuits?” Juno gives a shake of her head.
“Ok, how about meat bites?” Juno looks disinterested.
“Ok, not that either,” Siris flips through a few more pages, “I got it! How about tuna cookies?” Juno gives a cheerful meow and starts jumping around.
“Alright then that’s what we’ll do,” Siris lays the cookbook out on the counter and reads the ingredients with Juno over his shoulder.
“Alright, all we need is a can of tuna, 1 egg, and brown rice flour. Seems easy enough,” Siris looks at Juno, “You get the tuna and flour while I get the eggs and crack them,” Juno gives an affirmative nod and jumps to the cupboards while Siris goes to perform his task.
Juno jumped and hooked her paw on the cupboard handle and swung it open. She jumped inside squished between cans of ravioli and soups. Minovering around she finds the can of tuna and pushes it out of the cupboard, with the can landing perfectly on the counter below. Juno pumps her paw in the air and gets to finding the flour on the next shelf.
Siris grabs the eggs and a mixing bowl and starts cracking. After throwing away the shells he gets the can of tuna and opens it. He peeks at the cookbooks, “Alright just need to beat the egg then put the tuna in. Hey Juno how’s the flour coming along?” Juno gives a clipped meow as she keeps looking for the flour. The only thing Siris could see in the cupboard was Juno’s butt sticking out of the piles of bags of random cooking items.
Juno rummages through marshmallows and cocoa powder then she finds it. She locks in on the flour and climbs over. She almost reaches it but then something stops her. She looks behind to find that her body was wedged between a bag of sugar and baking soda. She tries to get herself unstuck with no avail. Juno turns back to the flour and gets a determined look on her face. She stretches as far out as she can. After a few tries she snags the bag in her claws. Feeling proud of her success she drags it out of the c.
Siris spots Juno coming out of the cupboard and smiles, “Nice job Juno!” Juno comes out and plops the bag of flour on the counter but Juno forgot to let go with her claws and she falls with it, face-planting. Siris stifles back laughter, “Are you okay Juno?” Juno with her face full of flour bag gives a little growl. That broke Siris and he started bursting into laughter. He goes to help the little fluffy ball and she unhooks her claws and swats him. With a grin still on his face Siris mixes one cup of flour in the bowl until finished as Juno sulks in the corner. Siris coaxed Juno over and they rolled the dough into tiny balls and put them on a cookie tray. After putting the cookies in the oven Siris gets a bowl of milk to make Juno feel better.
When the cookies are finished Siris takes them out and puts them on a plate for Juno. Juno tries taking a bite but flinches back from the heat, “You gotta wait for them to cool down Juno,” Siris says giggling. Siris starts petting Juno, “Today is just not your day,” They both wait for the cookies to cool down.
