The group of friends were walking late at night after being kicked out of an antique shop. They just finished watching a football match with some of their other friends. Aofie wanted to sell her eye to the antique shop cashier, which pissed them off.
"It would have been cool," Aofie muttered.
Rose sighed. "I like you more with two eyes, Aofie."
Sylvie and Sasha looked at each other before Sylvie spoke. "We're getting a bit hungry, guys..."
"Where the hell will we go when it's this late at night?" Elara sighed and kicked the rubble, accidentally stubbing her toe.
"My house isn't that far from here, guys!" Daisy chimed. "You can crash there."
"Really?" Rocky asked. "Thanks a lot, Daisy!"
"Anything for you guys."
Luna stopped while everybody else walked ahead. She tilted her head so her left ear was facing upwards.
"Does anyone hear that?" She asks.
"Hear what?"
The friend group stopped walking to try to hear what Luna was hearing.
Todd agreed with Luna. "I hear it too...it's like an engine."
Sylvie scoffed. "From the sky? You can't be serious-"
A flying object flew above the entire friend group, and its speed was almost unnoticeable. Sasha and Rocky fell to the floor. Sylvie instantly clung onto Luna. Elara, Todd and Aofie were hiding behind Rose. Daisy was composed.
"Did you see that?!" Sasha exclaimed.
"W-we all saw that," Sylvie, still clinging onto Luna, stuttered.
Rocky ran to the direction the flying object went.
"Rocky, wait!" Elara cried. Everyone else followed Rocky as they ran towards the object.
They stopped at a crossroads to see...what was it?
"Is it a car?" Sylvie asked.
"Looks too organic-shaped to be a car," Rocky sighed.
"What is it then? A spaceship?" Rose asked.
Aofie squinted her eyes. Then she noticed something.
"Everyone, hide behind the wall!"
They all rushed behind the wall and peeked to see the car-spaceship thing move. All its parts, moving, shrinking, rotating. As if it's transforming into something else.
"What the fuck is that..." Sylvie whispered.
"I'm so fucking scared," Elara shivered. "Aofie, hold me."
But Aofie was trying to make out what the spaceship was turning into. She noticed a relatively short height, a long coat, and a...fedora. A white fedora.
No fucking way.
It was Michael Jackson.
"What the fuck?" The entire friend group whispered in unison.
How can it be Michael Jackson? It can't be him. How was he even in their neighborhood? Isn't he on the other side of the fucking world? Aofie was convinced that they were all force-fed magic shrooms and were going through something. It can't be him. He's the last person they would expect to see.
"That can't fucking be him," Sylvie choked out.
"I hope it's not him," Todd muttered. "We all look so fucking stupid. Like the homeless network in 'BBC Sherlock'."
"Guys, I feel like fainting," Sasha breathed.
"Look lively, Sasha!" Rocky patted her face. "We might be seeing the one and only."
"Rocky, you sound so fucking high right now..." Elara mumbled.
Luna groaned. "Can we focus on how Michael Jackson is literally in front of us?"
"We don't know if he is, Luna," Daisy noted. "A matter of fact, we must be high as fuck right now."
Everybody looked at Sylvie. She was unusually quiet.
"Sylvie, please don't OD on us," Aofie pleaded.
"N-no, I'm fine," She answered. "Just-w-what the fuck? I can't believe this. What do we do?"
Before they could do anything, "Michael" turned to see them.
Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck
"Why are you out so late?" He asked.
Is he serious?
"I-I have a better question," Sylvie managed to choke out with a grin. The entire friend group burst into laughter. A small smile tugged at Michael's lips.
The friend group slowly pulled back from the wall, huddled together a few steps away from Michael.
"Is it actually you?" Luna asked.
"What do you mean?"
"What do you think she's talking about, 'Second Most Famous Person After God?'" Aofie yelled, making Sylvie and Elara laugh so hard, they nearly fell to the floor.
Michael finally managed to come up with an answer. "Maybe it is actually me."
"Wallahi, I might pass out if I look at him once more," Sylvie mumbled.
"Don't die on me, Sylvie," Aofie patted her shoulder.
"Dude, you're like a Transformer!" Sylvie scoffed in amusement. She was being incredibly nonchalant for speaking to someone she's in love with.
He didn't say anything but gave a smile once more.
"Will you guys keep this a secret?" He asked with a sincere voice.
The entire friend group responded with some "Hell yeah"s and some "Of course"s.
"Yeah, sure," Sasha answered. "Sylvie would probably do anyth-We would probably do anything for you."
"Thanks," Michael said, and he ran off to the alley where Club 30s was located.
The friend group was in silence. Nobody could get him out of his mind.
His white coat.
His long, curly hair.
His eyes.
It's as if it was imprinted onto their brains.
God really did send an angel to make people smile.
Luna noticed tears welling up in Sylvie's eyes. She was worried until she realized what it was and pulled Sylvie into an embrace. Sylvie cried onto her shoulder.
"Holy shit, man," Sylvie sniffled.
"Yeah," Luna agreed. "Holy shit."
"You still have the Experience CD for the PS3?" Sasha asked Daisy. "I have a feeling I know what we're going to do tonight."
"Please don't play 'Ghosts' on the Michael Jackson Experience," Sylvie cried. "It's an overplayed fucking song."
And off they went to Daisy's place, to be in awe after what they had just seen.
An angel in disguise.
