Work Text:

Eito knew something was wrong, as soon as he saw Darumi sitting by herself, picking at her sweets, not indulging like usual. Not even the unusual mention of a killing game was said within the group's conversation. Eito dragged an empty seat from a table, shoving it next to Darumi, stealing her spoon from her fingers, scooped up the flan, forcing it into her mouth, chewing slowly.

Neither spoke as he fed her, pushing away from the table, grabbed Takumi by the hood of his sweatshirt, uncaring of the curious glances sent their way.

“Wha, hey!!” Takumi tried digging in his heels, nearly losing his shoes in the process.

Eito threw Takumi inside his room, clicked the door closed, crossed his arms.

“I'm not here to fight you. I didn't do anything!” Takumi raised his hands, sweating, watching Eito stride towards him.

“Fix it.” Seethed Eito, hissing.

“Fix what?” Murmured Takumi, scratching his cheek in confusion.

“Whatever is bothering Darumi. I don't need her mind clogged with unnecessary things. So, be useful and gather your ‘friends’.” Sneered Eito, sitting on the edge of his bed, crossing his legs.

“Jeez, couldn't you have asked nicer.”

“Don't waste my time talking to sludge. Now go, I expect results by the end of the day.” Without a second thought, he shoved Takumi backwards, making the teen tumble down the steps, hitting his ass hard on the floor.

Takumi winced, rubbing his back, he carefully got up, brushing himself off, and went to find the others.

“That slimeball pervert believes we should help him with his love problems?! I refuse to help without proper repent!!” Screeches Kurara, stomping her foot.

“Kurara, I'm sure it's nothing too difficult. Besides, we all care about each other one way or another. Let's help out, okay?”

Moko who was quiet this whole time squealed in happiness. “Alright everyone! Let's help these lovebirds!”

Gaku groaned, murmuring under his breath, and followed Moko reluctantly with everyone else.

Moko rolled out a paper, pointing at a poorly drawn Darumi, ignoring the grumbles of Gaku and Shoma who was degrading himself under his breath.

Moko sounded a fist to her chest and declared “Operation Open Heart!”

Eito sneered at the name, walking away silently, he beelined to Darumi's room, swiftly opening the unlocked door with ease, closing it as he entered. Eito opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out, surprised how different Darumi looked without her makeup, her form curled into herself, messy black streaks rubbed against her cheek. Eito walked up to her, in two strides, kneeling by her, he paused before gliding his knuckle against her cheek, she nuzzled it, breathing slower.

“What do you need?” Asks Eito, thumbing her cheek, watching her blink away the sleep in her eyes, opening her arms. He wrinkled his nose, removed his jacket, laid in her arms, his chin rested under her chin, breathing in slowly, his glasses skewered on his nose, from laying, he curled further, his gloved hand, twirling her messy dyed hair between two fingers, humming.

“How are the others?” Murmurs Darumi, Eito nearly didn't catch what was spoken, he sighed.

“They are the same as usual. Loud, brash and annoying.”

Darumi giggled, Eito's chest felt warm at the sight, scooted away a bit, to watch the laugh lines wrinkle.

It died down as soon as it came, she laced her fingers together with his, grinning, masking her mood once more.

“Do you think Seiri will let us have an eroge marathon tonight?”

“We can try, however last time you asked, you were lectured by Nigou.”

Darumi pouts. “He doesn't get it.”

Eito flicked her forehead. “Idiot.”

Darumi grinned madly. “Yours, for life.”
