Work Text:
A bunch of Mary Goore headcanons because I'm still sick, and it's 5 am.
Getting ready for the day/gig
On days where Repungant doesn't have anything on, he tends to just use a bit of hair wax to keep his hair in order if he's going out. Full hair styling's a bitch to do on everyday occasions.
But on the days of gigs, he plays music out of the shitty headphones connected to his music player that he leaves around his neck as he gets ready.
Their hair takes about 7 minutes to fully style (4 minutes drying, 3 minutes styling)
His corpse paint takes a bit longer, with the white base and fake blood being more time consuming, so he does try and plan getting ready.
So, overall, my headcanon of Mary Goore's schedule is
Shower (bi-daily, or on the day of gigs)
Clothes
Hair and makeup
Breakfast and then out the door.
He uses men's 3-in-1 and bar soap. Bare minimum bro….
He has a bunch of bandshirts, to the point it's 99.9% of his wardrobe. The 0.1% is his hair dye shirt, which was in fact, white but is now a black/grey at the collar and shoulders.
On the discussion of hair dye. He just sits on the bathroom floor for half an hour with the fan on, cig (or blunt) in hand as they just… chill for the half hour. He honestly would only be needing to do his roots, but they do the whole hair, just to be sure. (Blonde roots make you look like your hair's thinning if you're dyeing it a darker colour. I know from experience……)
Miscellaneous headcanons-
They live in a one bedroom apartment, and pays the bills by being a worker in the local music store. If he hears Wonderwall on the guitar one more time…. He'll lose his shit.
He spends his Monday nights fixing his battle jacket or adding spikes. This cannot be changed. Unless it was an emergency or something.
An absolute legend at finding smaller food stalls. You wanna go get a burger? They know a good spot with burgers not overpriced to hell.
He HATES when people touch the front of his hair, or ask if he can see through it. Of course he can, and if you touch their hair, he'll grumble and shift it back while glaring at you.
They act cooler than reality. All the ego he displays with squared shoulders and a cocky grin falls apart slightly to someone who just wants to find a place to fit in, and someone to care for. Being a queer person (especially in heavier subcultures like Death Metal) leaves them a bit cautious of openning up to people, but once you crack his shell, They're just like the usual young person. Confused with what to do and nervous.
On a happier note, they use honey in their cereal instead of sugar.
