Chapter Text
"What do you mean we can't go!!!", Bakugo shouts, storming into Nezu's office.
In the room there stands Nezu, All might and Aizawa. Aizawa is already rubbing his forehead with two fingers, fighting a head ache.
"Like I said, it's too dangerous! You are only students, not even senior at that!", Aizawa raises his voice over the chaos.
"But we can fight! We need to do something! The league of villains already kidnapped Bakugo once, we want to help!", Kirishima explains from behind Bakugo. Followed by some more classmates. Mina, Kaminari, Shinsou, Ururaka, Tsuyu and Shoto.
"My decision is final. As long as we are in this standstill with the LOV, we cannot send students. We lack any concrete information. It might be a trap for all we know", Nezu declares calmly.
"You want information! I'll show you information!", Bakugo seethes, banging his hands on the table. "There is a creepy blondie named Toga, or some shit. A Lizard man. An emo scarred guy with black hair. The leader has hands all over his body and keep scratching like he has bed bugs or some shit! And then there is a bartender made out of purple smoke!"
All might shakes his head in disappointment. "Unfortunately, young Bakugo, that is not sufficient information. We need to know at least their quirks, and at best, their intentions and plans."
This is when Tsuyu raises her hand. "Excuse me, but finding out that type of information is near impossible. Doesn't it only work if one of the enemies slips up or betrays the cause?", she asks.
At that Nezu nods proudly.
"That is traditionally true. However, there is a third way. You can buy the information. Aizawa will be sent for negotiations shortly, and we were just in the middle of discussing what the budget would be"
"The budget?!", Bakugo asks, confused.
At this, Nezu rubs his head nervously. "Yes... despite the great funds the school has. The prices of our most reliable connection... well, let's say they aren't cheap..."
Ochako gasps confusedly from the back. "How could anyone not willingly give information to the authorities when it could save lives?"
"Yeah! Isn't withholding information from authorities, like, illegal, or something? Like doesn't it make the person an accomplish of the villains?", Kaminari asks.
Shoto cuts in for a counter point at this.
"Remember the right to remain silent? That is part of this, isn't it? You can't force anyone to tell you anything, even about villains", the calm boy explains.
The group nods understandingly at that, getting the point.
"Well, we want in anyway! We want to meet this guy who you are dealing information with. If we are going to be pros some day, we should learn what it in tales, including negotiations.", Mina suggests.
Aizawa is just about to refuse when Allmight agrees.
"That is an excellent ide young Ashido! This is a valuable learning opportunity!", All might all but shouts.
"You are only saying that because you have never been there yourself! The more people come the less likely we are to actually be let in!", Aizawa is quick to refuse.
"What does that mean? Why hasn't All might ever been there?", Shinsou asks.
"We are unaware of the reasons, but it seems that our business partner is not very fond of our coworker All might. He refuses to do any negotiations with the man present", Nezu jumps in to clarify.
"Tsk! He is probably scared. Knows he looses his upper hand if the number one hero is there...", Bakugo mumbles.
"Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't matter since the country has never been as safe as it is now. The trend of crime going down started when this man started his business only a short time ago, It started small but in less then a month, he went from a nobody to a feared informant. If we stop business with him, the safety of the citizens will suffer, and that is the last thing we want.", Nezu explains, with rare authority.
"However...", Nezu continues, now smirking, "we have never sent in people his own age to negotiate".
This has Aizawa sighing. It seems as if the decision is final.
"I will only take four people. Shinsou, Shoto, Bakugo and Ochako. The rest of you, back to the dorms!", he commands.
The people not chosen complain but retreat slowly from the office.
