Work Text:
The last rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains casting a fading golden touch to the man's delicate features. An uncoordinated sound of piano keys rang throughout the empty room.
Well—not exactly empty. But the presence of the man a little far off in the room was almost impossible to feel.
Lippman sighed as he focused harder and tried to move his fingers quicker and more smoothly which only ended up making his fingers stumble on keys.
This wasn't working at all. How was he supposed to keep his eye on the piano score and the keys at the same time? The company he worked for had asked him to give a short piano performance for an event he was going to be at.
Why wouldn't the gentle keys of the piano suit his charmingly soft features?
He stumbled for what was the 9th time in 7 minutes and tried to re-adjust his fingers to play.
But before he could do so , he felt a quiet presence behind him.
“You're just getting worse at it by the second”
A playful voice rang out in the quiet.
His hand—barely even there yet still firm—covered Lippman’s as his fingers gently guided the blond man's fingers along the keys with ease. It seemed as if he did not even need to look at the piano score to play.
The scattered melody came into place as a soft tune played in the dying rays of the sun and the dark overpowering the sunset.
Lippman was hyper aware of the man's presence and how he was pressed against his back just slightly and how easy he made this for him.
Pianoman was a caring person. Not just as the leader, but as a person. But even so , he rarely offered to do such tedious tasks.
Maybe his perfectionist self couldn't take the scattered melody.
Lippman’s heart started beating like loud sirens when he felt a warm breath just by his ear lobe.
Pianoman had leaned down just a little to focus on the keys. Lippman was sitting in one place in front of a large piano in a near empty calm room but his mind was short circuiting.
It didn't make it better that Pianoman’s lips curled into a smile when he felt Lippman’s breath hitch. He hadn't intended to respond this way. He never really could control his reactions around him.
Keeping the charmingly gentle smile on his face as that was the only thing he could do and focus on at the moment. Lippman gave up on controlling or even memorising how his fingers were supposed to move. He simply let Pianoman take the entire control and the melody seemed to glide with his fingers.
But maybe that wasn't exactly what Pianoman had in mind.
The melody abruptly left off at the bridge making Lippman almost flinch , but oh—his idol persona—he kept a composed posture before turning his head to look at Pianoman , which he had been previously ignoring as he knew he wouldn't be able to keep his composure if he did.
He was met with Pianoman's face millimetres from his.
He almost accidentally pressed a key as he stumbled over his breath. The few strands of black hair of Pianoman’s seemed to go so well with his white hair. But this time it seemed that Pianoman reciprocated the reaction as his breath came to a pause.
Lippman was breathtaking—literally.
Lippman's pale blue eyes always seemed brighter in the dark ,which was ironic , to say the least.
Words weren't needed.
They found themselves leaning closer to the other as if it were gravitational force.
Pianoman's eyes flickered down to Lippman's lips as he leaned down just slightly before his hand raised gently to brush the stray strands of hair away from Lippman's face as his hand hung near his head where he pushed the strands aside.
“STUPID FUCKING BANDAGED FREAK–”
The door flew open to reveal a fuming Chuuya. Both Lippman and Pianoman immediately turned their heads to the noise.
Chuuya's eyes landed on them and his brain took around 5 seconds to comprehend this wonderful scene before him.
He wanted to smirk and comment something teasing but he was horrified by just the thought of making things weirder.
A single syllable escaped his lips.
“Oh.”
Pianoman pulled back and his hand immediately dropped from Lippman's head as if he was electrocuted.
Oh…this would take LONG to explain….
