everything runs past me
the wind blows incessantly
however
this lingering pain stays

the duties i need to attend stays

the fact the world is the same stays
i said i would fix it all
for them
for me

i’m still useless as ever

no one notices my efforts
when will it all work
one day
then the next
its been years
i've been trapped in this cycle
a loop
meant to kill

this lingering pain
will never go away
