Work Text:
As oft the sun shines through storm clouds of gray
Do I beseech reprieve from eyes of gold
Beyond all words I fall where e’er you lay
Careening heart twixt praise and fawn I hold
In night might I behear some thunder roil
Then comfort of your mirth shall tumble aft
When finding prints of paws in town or soil
The wolf hath tread across one Cupid’s craft
From core to blades no juggernaut competes
Grasped in thine arms a fortress thou hast made
Neglect of time with kin a soul depletes
Hearth solid then true balance cannot fade
Just as the cub and man had reconciled
Love lost in tempests cruel and trust defiled
