“Katie? Kaaaatieeeee???…Dude…Kaaatieee?!!”
Katie jumped, looking at Tina, waking her up.
“Yeah?…jeez, can’t a girl have a good sleep?..”
Tina looked at her, flicked her forehead. “Well, we have class in like 30 minutes, so you better get up.”
Katie jumped and groaned as she got up. Pushing her hair back, walked to her dresser and grabbed a random t-shirt and her normal jean pants. Zipped them up as she put on her shirt and, under it, her bra. She looked in the mirror while putting on some mascara. She slid on white socks and her high-tops. She brushed her hair, then slid on a hat..she walked to bathroom and started to brush her teeth..
“Fucking hell… maybe I shouldn’t have smoked last night… whatever, that’s a later problem.”
Tina was in the kitchen cooking some eggs and bacon.
“Katie wants some bread so I can toast some before we leave?”
“Ughh…Yeah sure! Thanks, Tinaaa!!”
Katie walked out and sat down. Opened her phone to see Ewron texted her.
(Ewroon - Katie don’t forget my kurva vape, you still have it!”)
Katie huffed and texted back.
(KTB - Won’t forget it!)
“When is there ever going to be an actual cool
Guy coming to our school, I’m
Lowkey sick of Ewron and him playing his game around girls and guys.”
Katie scoffed but got up to grab a plate and serve herself some of the food Tina made.
“Well, I don’t know, I did hear that we are getting a new transfer student and he is Polish. Maybe it’s time you finally get some actual game…I’m happy with Bagi and me. I love her.”
Katie flushed at the mention of her getting no game. The last few relationships she’s been in have ended horribly. Most of the girls thought she was too much, and the guys thought she wasn’t enough, so she stopped believing in dating. But Tina and her long-term girlfriend, Bagi, have been giving her hope.
“Lucky fucking goose… You think he’s cute?.. If he is, I call hella dibs.”
“Nobody said otherwise. I think he had a small rapping career back in Poland.”
“And a rapper?! Fuck yes, sign me uppp!!”
Katie ate her food fast, wanting to get to school quickly so she could meet this guy. What if he is the guy of her dreams?
“Well, Tina, I’ll see ya at lunch, okay? Tell Bagi for the weed last week couldn’t do it without her!!”
“Well, do, see ya, Katie.”
Katie waved Tina out as she left. She didn’t watch her step when she knocked into a guy-..this guy who was dressed head to toe in black.
“Oh fuck sorry dude-..”
“Kurva, watch where you’re going..Jesus.”
He said in a thick Polish accent. His hood fell off; he had dreads.
“Hey sorry!”
Katie rolled her eyes, annoyed at him. She was already having a shitty day by waking up very much on the wrong side of the bed. That guy just had to be rude.
She kept walking down from her apartment and walked onto her school's campus. She checked her phone and texted Ewron.
(KTB- Meet me at our tree like always?)
(Ewroon- YUP HERE ALREADY!!)
Katie turned off her phone and kept walking. The town seemed so peaceful today. Maybe she’ll get to meet that new cute Polish guy.. or what if Ewron knows him?
She kept walking til she reached the campus and saw Ewron at their tree, sitting down against it drawing..Till he looked up and saw her waving his hand.
“Hey!”
“Heyy Ewron!”
Katie ran a bit, then sat down.
“Been having an absolute shitty day, let me tell you.”
“What's going on, bestie? You okay?”
Katie huffed and brushed a bit of her hair back.
“Well, first of all, my alarm didn’t sound, so Tina woke me up. Then I accidentally bumped into this guy while coming to my apartment complex, and he was just so rude!”
Ewron kept drawing while listening to her…Rude guy? Huh…
“Do you know what he looked like?”
Katie lay down against the grass and thought hard about it.
“He was wearing like an all-black outfit; he had, I guess, dreads… they were white… and… hm… he had a similar accent to yours.”
That caught Erwon's attention. He perked up and put down his sketchbook and pen.
“I think I know which rude guy you’re talking about; he’s the new transfer. We used to be friends before I left Poland, but yeah, he is a bit rude.”
Katie instantly sat up.
“You were friends with him?— wait, that’s the rapper dude Tina was talking to me about, no?.. She said he was hot.”
She didn’t, but she wanted a reason to bring it up if he was cute or not.
“I mean he’s a pretty cool guy when you get to know him, but he’s got a rough life. He doesn’t trust easily; you probably won’t get much outta that guy.”
“I just might have to prove you wrong; everyone likes me. I’ll make him too!”
“Tak..Tak…good luck with that.”
Katie looked at Ewron..confused.
“What everyone likes is me! I’m the life of the party. What do you mean?”
Ewron looks at her seriously..
“I’ll tell you some stuff about him…he had a rough time growing up. When I say we were friends, it’s because he is always on edge with everyone. He won’t trust you 100% til you prove him otherwise. I kinda fucked our friendship.” Ewron huffed..
“Woah..but everyone needs a little sunshine no? I can be that! What’s his name and major, and trust me, by the end of the week we will be friends.”
Ewron bit his lip, hesitated…
“His name is Multi, he majors in Mechanical Engineering, and he is becoming a nuclear scientist. I think he’d probably be more into studying than trying to get game.”
Katie thought about it…what did she know about science huh?
“Well, I mean… Psychologist and Nuclear scientist… both have Ist in it, so we are meant to be friends!”
Katie smiled. She believed that she would become Multis best friend..how would she even accomplish that?
Katie, aside from becoming a psychologist, was always interested in business; she never let a challenge pass. Plus, what’s so wrong with making new friends? Especially hot ones.
Ewron looked up at her, a tired face.
“Well, I tried to warn you. If you’re so desperate..I hear we are sharing a club with him. He’s joined the gaming club. You can maybe talk to him there.”
“He’s joining the gaming club? PERFECT!!”
Katie said excitedly, already planning what she’d do and what she’d say to him. She was determined… and she won’t take no for an answer when it comes to friends.
