Boboiboy stared at his reflection as he looked at the huge scar on his cheek, even attempting to touch it hurt too much. He always heard that scars were supposed to represent that you survived something and that you were strong for it but...
He felt weak, he felt weak and he hated how he felt that way. It felt wrong. No matter how many times the others reassured him that it wasn't his fault for destroying the TAPOPS station that day, he just couldn't believe it. He wanted to so badly, so why couldn't he?
He shook his head and went back to the room he was resting in a few days ago. He let out a relieved sigh when he realized no one was inside and let himself in. He closed the door behind him and sat on the bed, sitting there quietly. He honestly just felt tired and didn't want to talk with anyone at the moment.
He was just starting to wonder how things could've gone differently during the fight. Maybe if he'd done something different, none of this wouldn't happen, and maybe...
He heard the door open making his attention turn to see who it was. Just outside the door stood Fang, giving him a soft look. It was rare to see this from him, but could Boboiboy really complain?
"May I come in?" Fang asked. Boboiboy was hesitant but it was just Fang. He gave him a small thumbs up with the other nodding, walking inside and closing the door behind him.
"I've noticed you've been looking at yourself in the reflection a lot more lately, and not in a good way." Immediately, that was what Fang pointed out. Boboiboy's eyes widened, scratching his neck.
"Has it really been that obvious?"
"To me, it was. Yaya suspected something too."
There was silence between the two for a few more seconds before Fang let out a sigh.
"This is... more on Yaya's behalf but, is there a reason for it?" There was a small pause, almost as if Fang forgot something in his question.
"...Don't answer if you're not comfortable."
The brunet thought about whether or not he should tell him. Sure, they fight from time to time but it's not like it gets to anything serious where one of them gets hurt. Plus, they've gotten really close over the past few years. After a few minutes passed by, he finally decided to answer.
"To be honest, it's because of the scar on my cheek. It's just uncomfortable and I don't like remembering where I got it from."
The room fell silent, with both of them not knowing what to say. It felt really awkward, and it was kind of annoying them. Just as Fang was about to speak up, Boboiboy gestured for Fang to sit beside him. He was obviously confused but walked over and sat beside him.
Boboiboy slowly turned his head to look at him and gave him a sad puppy dog face. What was that for?
"...Could you kiss my scar?"
Fang's jaw dropped slightly, his eyebrow raising. What kind of request was that!? Boboiboy immediately realized and waved his hands around.
"Wait, wait, hear me out! Whenever I used to have small cuts as a kid, my mom would always give them a small kiss and I'd feel better!"
"Well, I'm not your mom?"
"I know but... it would be a nice feeling, you know? I don't know how to word it, sorry..." He let out a sigh, his cheeks becoming a bit red from being embarrassed.
The alien-boy thought about it, turning his head away from the other. It wasn't really a weird request if he thought hard enough, Boboiboy just wants the pain to be less. After a few minutes, he turned his attention back to him.
"Alright, alright. I'll do it." Boboiboy's eyes widened a bit, his cheeks becoming more red as he nodded. "Thank you, Fang."
Fang took in a deep breath as he looked closer at Boboiboy's scar cheek, moving closer to him. He couldn't help but admire it, because as badly as it looked, he couldn't help but be impressed that Boboiboy survived the attack.
Without another second to lose, Fang went in to kiss the scar however he was stopped by Boboiboy's hand, when he pulled back, he realized the other was already giggling.
"What's wrong now?"
"...Did I ever tell you that I'm ticklish?"
"Then how am I supposed to make you feel better?"
"I-I don't know!"
"Just stay still, it's not like I'm gonna summon a shadow beast on you."
Boboiboy took in a deep breath and nodded, folding his arms together. Fang blinked a couple of times before finally giving him a small peck on the scar. Of course, the boy couldn't help but let out a chuckle from it.
"That's all I'm supposed to do right?" Fang was confused if he was even doing this right.
"...It still hurts."
"You want more!?"
"That's what my mom usually does!"
Fang pinched the bridge of his nose, lowering his hand down. He couldn't believe this guy, seriously. He gave him a few small pecks again on the scar, being as gentle as he can be.
Of course, with all the giggling from Boboiboy, it was kind of distracting.
A few minutes later, Fang stopped and looked at the other. "Okay now?"
Boboiboy gently touched his scar, wincing but giving Fang a thumbs up with his other hand. "Yeah, thank you, Fang. Sorry for the weird request."
"I've had weirder, trust me."
The brunet let out a giggle as he nodded. The raven-haired got up and was heading to leave before stopping by the door.
".....The scar looks great on you. I think you should try and appreciate it more."
And with that, he left. Boboiboy blinked several times and stared down at his hands. He thought about the small kisses Fang just gave him, a soft smile appearing on his face.
