The laboratory was a mess. Flesh, blood, and bones were sprayed everywhere, but Kim Soleum couldn’t focus on that right now. Or rather, he didn’t care much about it after witnessing so many things.
Due to his adamant view on a world without ghost stories, when Kim Soleum was summoned and contaminated, it seemed his mind instantly erased all ghost stories around him to be like his original world. The alerts erasing itself was Kim Soleum’s stuck-up view that DER wasn’t real, and that ghost stories were fictional.

Before Kim Soleum could do worse onto this world, he had to pull the mutated Kim Soleum out.

Maybe it was just his imagination, he could’ve heard a trembling tone from the text of the other—almost as if trying to soften his fall. Fall from what? This Kim Soleum was already at the brink of madness. The wrecked music box was proof.
— Kim Soleum in the cacoon is not a separate personality
Kim Soleum paused.
— I wan t to know
Contaminated statements flew past and out the other.
— I want to stay alive
He was cruel doing this to someone who was essentially himself. It was cruel just like the people who brought Kim Soleum here—who forced him into this hellhole—how his own consciousness was just a projection of the original.
In some ways, Kim Soleum was glad to be separated, staying clear and unaffected.

A sudden burst of strength surged forward as the Sekwang Disaster clutched onto his arm and pushed forward. Kim Soleum tensed, ready to pull before the feeling the other’s body enclose him into a improper hug. Kim Soleum blatantly ignored the churning mass of the disaster’s lower half, full of ulcers and red.
Dry cracked lips pressed against his suit, and Kim Soleum felt his skin tingle despite the ghost story covering him up. He shivered. Were the kisses also a source of contamination?
Seriously, weaponizing your own love for Dark Exploration Records had to be a new low. Kim Soleum could hate himself, but he could never really hate DER. Did he really just try to stop himself by using his own fan love for the DER wiki?
Kim Soleum couldn’t do anything as the arms around him tightened and tiny pecks were strewn across his body.
.. This was a little tragic.
It was when Director Ho’s voice sounded right behind him did Kim Soleum remember. He realized that the Sekwang Disaster’s arms were halfway through his melted torso. He got distracted, and forgot that the goal was to pull himself out of the caccoon.
“Kim Soleum!”
The Sekwang Disaster Kim Soleum shrieked a cacophony along with the other city residents. Ho Yuwon rushed to his side with a gracefulness that contrasted his rapidly own deteriorating sanity.
Kim Soleum’s ears popped. He swiveled to the fox’s earnest eyes behind him and opened his mouth.
“I..,” he croaked, ‘Director Ho..’
“I want to go home still.”
Kim Soleum was pulled from the tender embrace and into the arms of the counselor. The disaster stared at him with foggy eyes, limbs reaching out before Ho Yuwon grabbed one of them and wrenched the mass forward.
The space warped as a familiar door opened up from nowhere.
