Rei:’panting as he leans against a wall, he wipes some blood off his face, then he turns the light on’well, i didn’t expect that to last so long, but i’m glad it’s over with, i’m exhausted, i’m tired, and i’m going to bed so goodnight-
Kazuki: rei.
Rei: Kazuki.
Kazuki: You're hurt, you have a huge cut on your side, you have a black eye, and I'm pretty sure you’re in pain.
Rei: I'm too tired to feel it.
Kazuki: Rei!
Rei: i promise i’m ok, i just need to bandage it up and get some sleep, you don’t need to worry about me, i’m just going to my room and getting some sleep, so goodnight kazuki, i’m going to bed, and hopefully i’ll get some rest-
Then he is grabbed by kazuki.
Kazuki: rei, i’m treating your injuries first, and that’s final, i don’t care if you’re tired, you need to be treated.
Rei:.........i’m not going to get out of this, right?
Kazuki: nope.
Rei:............might as well let you do it, just so you don’t bitch to me about my injuries in the morning while i’m trying to play video games.
Kazuki: REI.
Rei: fine…………..’sits down’
Then kazuki sits down next to him and helps rei take his shirt off, he frowns looking at the cut on rei’s side, which was still bleeding, the fact that rei was still conscious was insane, kazuki goes to the cupboards and starts to grab towels and the first aid kit, then he walks back to rei and starts to treat the cut on his side.
Rei:’winced a bit’
Kazuki:’frownst’
Rei: Don't worry, I can handle it.
Kazuki: Are you sure?
Rei: Yes, I'm sure, I know that you're not going to let me go until you've treated the cut, even though I can handle it on my own.
Kazuki: Rei, just let me take care of you this time.
Rei: alright………and besides, it’s not like I can do anything, you would kick my ass and I'm not in the mood to fight back.
Kazuki:’flicks his forehead’
Rei:’whines and rubs his forehead’
Then he winces as Kazuki starts to disinfect his wound, and after a while, Kazuki grabs a needle and threat, before grabbing a needle of anesthesia and injects it in Rei, who just blinks at him and stares out into space.
Kazuki: Rei, are you still there?
Rei: yes, i’m just staring out into space, wondering when this will be over with, and i don’t even know how to feel about the anesthesia.
Kazuki: rei, that’s concerning.
Rei: so?
Kazuki:’sighs and shakes his head’
Then Kazuki starts to sew the cut together, making sure to be careful with stitching the wound closed, and after a few minutes, he finishes it.
Kazuki: there, now to bandage it.
Then he starts to wrap bandages around Rei's side, Rei stares at Kazuki, who goes slowly, as if he was scared of hurting Rei.
Rei: You don’t need to be gentle with me, kazuki, I know you need to add pressure to make sure the wound closes up.
Kazuki: i already stitched the wound close.
Rei: You know what I mean, kazuki.
Kazuki:.............
Rei:’sighs and shakes his head’
Then he finishes wrapped bandages around Rei's waist, then Rei stands up and touches his side, Kazuki slaps his hand.
Kazuki: don’t touch it, it won’t heal if you pick at it.
Rei: i’m just making sure it feels right, i know how you are when you’re worried about me, but you also need to make sure you do it properly, I know how you are and I also know that you rush things when you're nervous or scared, and I don't want you to be upset with yourself when you learn you didn't do it properly.
Kazuki: You know me way too well.
Rei: We've known each other for years, of course I know you too well, i know a lot of things about you that I shouldn't have known, but I do, and it's because we live in the same area, We live in the same place together.
Kazuki: And despite all of my flaws, you still like me.
Rei: I sadly do.
Kazuki: Sadly?!
Rei:’smiles a bit at him’
Kazuki: Well, you need to be more careful out there, you could have gotten killed, you were way too close to our targets.
Rei: It wasn't my fault that they had katanas.
Kazuki: I tried to tell you that they were from an old samurai family, you just thought I meant that they were rich, you didn't let me finish explaining, which was that they had weapons from that generation, and they know how to use them.
Rei:..............that’s my fault for not listening.
Kazuki: You barely listen.
Rei: I heard that!
Kazuki: good! You don't know how to listen from time to time and you just want to focus on getting the job down, I understand that you're tired, that you want to go home and play your video games, but you need to understand that listening to the details we’re given about the mission is really important.
Rei: i get it-
Kazuki: no, you're not just going to cut me off and pretend you understand what I'm trying to tell you, no, you're going to listen to what I'm going to say, You're going to sit your ass down on this fucking couch and you're going to listen to me.
Rei:.........
Kazuki: Well?
Rei:.......fine, I'll listen to what you have to say.
Kazuki: good, you need to understand that paying attention is really important, you didn't pay attention to me when I tried to tell you that they had weapons that they know how to use, you didn't let me explain that they were experienced with getting close to their victims with long range weapons.

Kazuki: Don't worry, we made enough money to live comfortably for a few days, until you’re able to work again.
