Work Text:

Shedletsky waited in the lobby, when was this round going to start? “Ugh.” Elliot approached Shedletsky, Shedletsky startled by the survivor approaching him quickly smiled at Elliot, “Hey Elli!” Shedletsky said to Elliot with that crooked silly smile that made everyone happier when they saw it. “Hi Shedletsky, I’m pretty sure the round is starting soon, but uh everyone is eating dinner if you’d like to join! It’s pizza—as always.” Elliot replied to Shedletsky, “Nah not hungry, thank you though Elli!” Shedletsky gritted his teeth trying to remain friendly as his head wings twitched in annoyance. “Alright then, I’ll save some pizza for you for later. See ya Shed!” Elliot walked away back to the table. Shedletsky glanced over looking at everyone sitting at the table something shiny on one of the other survivors catching his eye before he walked outside.

Shedletsky slowly walked across the cabins porch tracing his hand along the wooden railing as the floor beneath him creaked and groaned before he walked down the ramp onto the grass. He let the breeze engulf him in the cold as he walked to the lakes dock crushing the dead grass that seemingly never changed or completely withered away beneath him. As he made his way onto the dock the old planks squeaked and swayed slightly in the wind when he sat down. He looked at the dock he was sitting on, rusty nails could be seen all over along with dry rotted planks. Shedletsky looked back out towards the lake, it was a full moon—the sun never really came up in this forsaken place, but the cycles of the moon stayed. And yet it was still quite dark, or melancholic you could say.

His head wings fluttered under the moonlight, he hadn’t stretched out his wings in awhile, he kept his wings hidden away anyways, and due to the entities power over this place it was “impossible” to ever use his admin privileges to show them again, plus why would he? It’d just reveal what lurks deep within, waiting. And suddenly the ticking noise started, “Ah, the round is starting, finally.” Shedletsky thought.

This rounds killer is… 1x1x1x1.

“Oh, 1x1x1x1 is the killer? How, fun.” Shedletsky mumbled to himself walking away from the group without a word. 1x1x1x1 saw Shedletsky in the distance running towards him and slowing down to a walk as he approached him from behind. Slash. 1x1x1x1 slashed Shedletsky with their venomshank making him trip over himself, thankfully he caught himself. “Fuck…” Shedletsky whispered whipping around to face 1x1x1x1,

“Hello, Telamon.” 1x1x1x1 said blatantly, swinging her venomshank at him once again. This time Shedletsky was able to barely dodge it as he unsheathed his sword, “That isn’t a nice way to greet your dear creator, now is it~?” Shedletsky mocked 1x1x1x1 as he tried stunning them to no avail, he had blocked the stun with his venomshank.

“They’ll find out eventually you can’t hide it forever,  there’s no hiding it forever.” 1x1x1x1 ignored Shedletsky’s mocking remark as the sword fight went on. “So? Who cares? That’d just make it more fun~!” Shedletsky remarked catching 1x1x1x1 off guard and almost stabbing her but he blocked the stun with their second venomshank, “Whatever.” 1x1x1x1 huffed. “When you look at me doesn’t it remind you of what happened, doesn’t it scare you, every single time you see my face it reminds you of that moment, doesn’t it?” Shedletsky laughed, “Your more sick in the head than me old man!” 1x1x1x1 yelled stabbing Shedletsky’s leg with his venomshank, “Auck!” Shedletsky yowled in pain as the venomshank went straight through his leg and out the back slowly poisoning his bloodstream.

At this point he was just successfully a waste of time, she had to go switch targets.

Shedletsky suddenly stunned 1x1x1x1 and started limping away, his vision was blurring everything was just a blur of colors, Shedletsky had looked behind himself half expecting 1x1x1x1 to be chasing after him but they weren’t? All he saw was the grass behind him stained a deep red as blood still dripped from his wound causing a small puddle of blood to form on the grass beneath him as he reached Elliot. “Hey Elli I’m quite beat up, mind handing me a slice? Shedletsky chuckled asking Elliot and completely changing his demeanor in matters of seconds.

“Oh dear 2X2!” Elliot gasped looking at Shedletsky’s worsening state, “Yes here!” Elliot shoved a slice of pizza into Shedletsky’s hand. “Thank you Elli!” Shedletsky gratefully thanked Elliot, “Well Chance is losing health, I gotta go keep an eye on him now!” Elliot yelled already sprinting towards where he saw Chance lose health last.

Suddenly a mass infection that 1x1x1x1 did not mean to aim at him was coming full speed, Shedletsky panicked tensing up and instinctively trying to shield himself with his wings, surprisingly he felt his feathers, and no pain… HIS FEATHERS?! He must’ve gotten his wings back- great. How great, such perfect timing, hah nobody would question Shedletsky suddenly having the wings of a deity that has been missing for years and probably the largest wings they’ve ever seen.

“Fucking hell…” Along with the wings coming back his hands changed too the tips of his fingers became sharper, and feathers also appeared in some places along his body. His wings were bloodied dripping with warm blood that he could feel slowly creep down his back and drip onto the ground below, and they definitely hadn’t been preened in awhile, obviously. Well, no hiding it now.

Builderman stared in the distance, Shedletsky noticed and walked over to him,

“Hmm, long time no see Buildsy~!” Shedletsky smirked.

“I—those wings, that name… Tel?...” Builderman stepped back a bit, shocked.

“I missed you so much… But why hide behind a new identity for years and not tell me…?” Builderman asked.

“Hah, why not? You really think I loved you, no. I was just leading you on~!” Telamon sneered.

“...Your wings look really bad, I can help you preen them and clean them up after this round, only if your okay with that of course.” Builderman said stepping closer to Telamon ignoring his remark, he knew Telamon was lying.

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Alright, take off your shirt.” Builderman said to Telamon. Telamon did as he was told and Builderman could see the blood stains of the blood dripping down his back and the now dried blood clinging to his wings, it wasn’t fully dry yet though. Builderman sighed, Telamon didn’t have a preen gland or “uropygial gland” as Telamon called it because he had to be a fancy ass, because he obviously wasn’t FULLY a bird just half-bird consisting of mainly just bird behaviors, and wings. So that’d make preening harder.

Builderman walked out from the bedroom to the kitchen everything was dimly lit making it feel peaceful for once in this hellhole, Builderman turned on the faucet and turned the handle of the faucet making the water run warm, he grabbed a washcloth from one of the cabinets putting it under the running water wetting it. He also grabbed a bucket from out under the sink filling it up with the warm water from the faucet and pouring in scentless soap. Builderman lifted the bucket up out of the sink carrying it to the bedroom also grabbing a towel from the bathroom along with some scissors on the way.

“Alright Telamon please sit down on the bed and unfold your wings a bit.” Builderman said softly, “Mhm I know.” Telamon replied doing as Builderman asked. Builderman scooted onto the bed sitting down behind him. He rang out the washcloth feeling the warm water on his hands. Carefully Builderman started cleaning the blood stains off of Telamons back and then rewetting the cloth he continued but this time going to clean his wings.

Soon in Buildermans dimly lit bedroom it was dead silent, only the faint ticking of the clock could be heard, so silent the two of them could hear each other breathing. As Builderman stroked Telamons feathers preening them after he had cleaned off the blood and dried them off, Telamon would sometimes shake or flap his wings while he did, it wasn’t an annoyance though. It seemed as if the whole world around them had faded away leaving only the two of them.

It reminded Builderman of the quiet nights in Telamons manor where he’d preen his feathers every night.  Such sweet memories they were. And then sometimes they’d have sex after he was done preening Telamons feathers, but that’s not what he was focused on.

“Alright I’m done Tel.” Builderman got up off the bed.

“Hah my wings feel much better now, thank you Buildsy~” Telamon said folding his wings back up much calmer than he was during the round, Builderman just calmed him down naturally. Nights like these were always peaceful.

“So after I went and dumped the water bucket I also put your shirt in the washer. I got you one of my jackets that were too big for me and cut holes in it for your wings!” Builderman said giving it to Telamon.

“ Aw thats sweet. Hey, you kept our engagement ring?” Telamon asked suddenly switching the subject looking at the plain gold ring on his finger as he put the jacket on, it smelled like Builderman, it was nice.

“Mhm and I see you did too..” Builderman replied looking at Telamons ring and sitting down on the bed holding Telamons hand looking into his eyes sweetly.

“Indeed I did. Builderman, do you remember what we used to do after you were done preening my wings~?” Telamon asked teasingly in a flirty tone.

“Ah yes, why?” Builderman replied flustered, why was Telamon suddenly asking him this? He didn’t mind him asking though.

“Because~” Telamon answered swiftly moving and pinning Builderman down to the bed looking at him, Builderman didn’t stop him, he didn’t want to stop him. Telamons wings fluttered anticipatingly.

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Builderman cuddled Telamon embracing in his warmth. “Just as good as I used to be eh Buildsy?” Telamon teased, “Your a bit rusty now I’d say..” Builderman laughed. Telamon peppered Buildermans face with kisses in response as he wrapped one of his wings under Builderman and the other on top as he cuddled him, his wings would definitely get pins in needles in the morning, but that didn’t matter right now. Only Builderman did.
