Work Text:
Mon Chéri,
With my hands,
and their other sins,
As well as my bones
And their ruined marrow,
Kill me,
with a cleaver,
Knife,
Fire,
Or even a broken wine bottle.
Anything,
As long as they contribute
In the crushing of my soul.
Anything,
As long as they punish
For what I had done
To thy heartstrings.
Lest you forget my lungs,
Which shall also be yours to change.
please just remember,
to clear out
That stolen, tainted air
I claimed having rights to.
Mon Chéri,
I wanted to pry you open
and see your beautiful heart,
With all its desires,
As well as its beating.
I regret it all,
Having gone through
with that now-bloodied blow.
Eating shouldn’t be so rough,
Yet we ball.
To the humblest,
And to the bloodiest,
to the hungriest,
And to the bleariest,
Kill me, I will beg to them,
With my eyes finally opening,
My ears finally listening,
My nose finally smelling.
My mouth finally tasting.
