Work Text:
Despite being part of the five great families, the Tang family was often criticized due to their use of poison that affects both enemies and allies.
And at this moment, inside the prestigious Tang family, the soon to be former member of the five great families for decades held a meeting for a new alliance— an alliance bound to shake the whole central plains and change the history of Kangho that remained stagnant for hundreds, thousands of years. And during this meeting, there comes a man who no one has expected to make an appearance— not even the Tang patriarch himself.
The night sky blanketed the land, in the deepest part of the Tang family’s residence, the moon shone brightly— illuminating the grass, ivy leaves and all kinds plants surrounding the simple house. These poisonous plants caused the air in this area to smell and feel sticky. However, amidst the green covered place, a lone plum tree stood out.
The night breeze caused the plum blossoms to gracefully let go of the branches’ hold. Plum blossom leaves scattered all around the place and suddenly, a scarred hand gently reached out to a ‘perfect’ plum blossom.
The hand belonged to a man with long, silver hair— the cold breeze causing it to slightly sway. Thanks to the breeze, the man’s face could be seen; one eye covered with a black eye patch while the other was covered with sorrow and regret.
This man obviously belonged to the Tang family considering he wore the Tang clan’s signature robe. The golden pattern on his robes that was emphasized by the moon signified that this man had no ordinary position.
At that moment, the man’s eyebrow twitched while his hand that held the plum blossom turned to a fist— causing the plum blossom to be crushed helplessly. A stark contrast to his earlier gentleness that reached out to the plum blossom as if it was the most fragile thing in the whole world.
Throwing the crushed plum blossom on the ground, he turned around, walking towards the outer part of the Tang family— where the meeting is currently being held.
Baek Cheon watched silently at the chaotic scene before him. The tang family, mount hua and even the beast palace were having a competition on who has the higher alcohol tolerance— some were helplessly passed out on the ground while some was already foaming at the mouth. While those who remained standing got to a thug-like spar with the other sect disciples. Truly a peaceful sight.
As Baek cheon was about to grab another bottle of alcohol, a sudden chill ran up his spine as he felt an oppressive aura, causing him to frantically look around. This sudden action caused those around him to also be aware of their surroundings and by doing so, they had to forcefully expel all the alcohol in their system. Slowly each and every disciple dropped whatever they were holding and instead reached out for their swords to prepare from whatever or whoever was making the atmosphere so tense.
Before a disciple could break the uneasy silence and lift up everyone’s mood, a sudden glimpse of silver caught their attention. The frozen disciples turned their gazes at the color that did not seem to belong in this place where three different sects stood. Upon seeing the man, all they could do was stare in a daze. Not a single noise was heard from the man walking— not even the sound of his breathing could be heard. It was as if he was a ghost— a ghost who does not belong in this era.
The Tang family who snapped out of their daze, wasted no time and immediately bowed at the man with the utmost respect hey could muster. The remaining sects were far from stupid, they did not need any more hints that this man was someone of the highest position in the Tang family. The disciples bowed down with respect, nearly the same as the Tang family’s despite unaware of the man’s identity.
However, even as three different sect disciples bowed down, the man did not even glance at them. His gaze remained at the pavilion where he meeting was currently held. This cold demeanor made Baek Cheon’s already wet covered back to sweat even more. He felt worry creep up to his veins as he remembered his sajil, Chung Myung who was currently in that pavilion.
Only after the man had entered the pavilion did they breath out a sigh of relief, with mount hua’s five swords an exception. Baek Cheon immediately walked up to the sogaju of the Tang clan, Tang Pae to question him.
“Sogaju, who was that man?” The other disciples quickly shut their mouth to hear the answer of Tang pae.
“This may come off as a surprise but, believe it or not, that man is the venerable Dark Saint. The very man who led the front lines during the war with the Plum blossom sword Saint.” Tang Pae clenched his fist to force his slightly trembling hand to stay still.
“The Dark Saint? I heard he had passed after that.. incident.” Yoon Jong blurted out his own thoughts— he couldn’t lieve that someone like him is still alive.
“That’s.. I also heard that after the incident, the Tang family used all their power to.. forcefully put him into a seclusion.” Jo Geol swallow hard before telling the others what he had heard.
“No, both are wrong. The dark Saint himself entered seclusion. And what Jo geol dojang said, the Tang family indeed used all its power not to do that, but to prevent him from going insane. However, considering the incident, our ancestors couldn’t top him.” Tang Pae bit his lip as he felt fear and awe at the same time.
“What..? All of Tang family’s power? How..” Baek cheon couldn’t help but admire the Dark Saint’s prowess despite feeling terrified. It was only when Yoo Isuel had spoken did he remember the main reason why he had hurriedly wanted to ask Tang Pae.
“Sajil..” Yoo Iseul stared at the pavilion while trying her best to prevent herself from dashing off.
At the mention of his sajil, Baek Cheon looked at Tang pae and just as he was about to speak, Tang pae beat him to it. “I believe the Dark Saint has made an appearance because we hadn’t informed him of us leaving the five great families. Above all, father is also there.”
“…” The five swords could only look at the pavilion with worry. Abruptly entering that place, where a meeting between 3 sects is discussing about making a new alliance would be extremely disrespectful. And the Dark saint’s presence is also justifiable.
Inside the pavilion, the three representatives of their respective sects conversed casually yet seriously. Until they felt something off about the atmosphere. Given that they were all martial masters, they would never not recognize an aura this impressive.
Chung Myung was no stranger to this kind of feeling. In fact, he had been exposed to this numerous times that it could be said that he basically considers this as something completely natural. A feeling that made his hairs stand, his heart beat faster and faster, his blood rushing through his head. Was he simply excited or.. ‘No, it’s only natural that I feel something like this. This is where that brat lived.’
Only when he had snapped out of his thoughts did he realize his hands shaking. However, despite this, he grabbed the handle of his sword— preparing himself to easily launch forward once something goes wrong. Then, a sudden new emotion crept up to him as he remembered his chicks outside.
Maeng So fixed his posture, signifying that he was ready to attack. While Tang Gunak stood frozen as he felt his breath tremble as he remembered something incredibly important. Just as he was about to inform the two, the door opened slowly, almost gently.
Before the door could fully open, Tang gunak immediately bowed his head, making Maeng so look at him with confusion while Chung Myung continued to stare at the door.
And it was the moment when the door fully opened did Chung Myung’s grip on the dark fragrance plum blossom sword loosen. His eyes began to tremble as he locked eyes with the man before him. It was as if it was only them who existed in this room and no one else. Was this a cruel trick from the heavens? Was he hallucinating him? But, why does he look so old?
“I humbly greet the great eld—” However, Tang Gunak couldn’t even finish his greetings when he saw the Dark saint’s hands retreat to his sleeves. Color drained from his face as he began to explain the reason why the two sects were here despite sweat building up on his forehead and his voice trembling. But, it was to no avail as he heard the air being cut.
He couldn’t see his movements even when he had been staring at the man. It was admirable but bow wasn’t the time. He hurriedly looked back and what he saw was something that made him swallow dry saliva out of fear and.. worry. He looked back at the great elder and began to speak, “Great elder, this.. he is merely a child. Please, let this child go.”
Tang Gunak hadn’t expected to see Chung Myung looking like that. His complexion was so pale that it wouldn’t be impossible to call him a corpse. He looked so.. afraid. Or was he.. not? He wasn’t sure. The strange glint on his eye made Tang Gunak think otherwise. Especially with the dagger right beside his neck. A quarter of his neck was now being bathe by blood.
Maeng So had already been kneeling down the moment he recognized the man. He wanted to pay his respects the moment he realized however, seeing his friend so scared made him hesitate. It was when Maeng So stood up to protect the divine dragon did he finally speak.
“Why are you here?” Tang bo’s voice was so rough that it made one wonder whether it had been decades since he last talked. He grabbed another dagger from his sleeve, playfully twirling it around his fingers. However, his face held no smile, only coldness.
“Why are you alive?” This time, his face slightly contorted into a frown. And Tang Gunak seemed to notice the Dark saint’s eyes slightly trembling.
‘Why is the Dark saint asking these questions to the divine dragon?’ Tang Gunak couldn’t help but be confused and suddenly he was hit by an epiphany. ‘Elder Tang Jopyung had mistaken him for he sword saint.. ah.’
“Great elder, I am aware that the divine dragon resembles the Sword saint as elder Tang Jopyung had mistaken him for the Sword saint but..” Tang Gunak couldn’t finish talking once more as the Divine dragon cut him off.
“I.. I have no idea about what you’re talking about.” Was the only thing he said before the Dark saint threw another dagger at him.
“Do not give me that crap!” The dark saint began to walk towards Divine dragon with his face filled with anger.
“Esteemed Dark Saint!” Maeng so abruptly stood up— trying to prevent the elder from going near the divine dragon. However, he suddenly saw the one he wanted to protect walk towards the man who nearly cut his head off.
Chung myung waved his hand at the two as if telling them to leave the room. At first, he wanted to keep his mouth shut and make sure that his identity stays hidden and just reach out to Tang bo secretly afterwards. But, seeing the man whom he held on his own arms as he met his end— well, thought he had met his end. He couldn’t wait any longer. If he, who had thought that his husband had been dead for not even a decade felt like going insane— then, how much more was it for Tang bo who had thought so for over a hundred years?
His gesture made the two sect leaders disagree and look at him as if he was even more insane today. They had just watched the Dark Saint throw a dagger at his neck and head! In fact, Chung myung’s neck and head was already bleeding profusely that it was a wonder how he hadn’t passed out from excessive bleeding yet.
What they saw in return was a genuine soft smile from Chung myung— Chung Myung hadn’t even glanced at them. Despite this weird action, they still couldn’t leave him alone with the man who wants him dead and when they were about to grab Chung myung, the dark Saint spoke, “Leave. He already told you to leave.”
The both of them suddenly felt their knees lose its strength at the cold gaze the Dark saint had given them. Their heart beat so fast that they felt lightheaded at the abundant killing intent.
This.. they could not just simply leave the Divine dragon here and call it a day. No matter what!
“It’s fine, leave us alone. I won’t die.” Still, Chung Myung did not glance at them. His gaze remained at the Dark saint. They wanted to refute however, the Dark saint was never known for his patience.
When a dagger shot out and nearly severing their heads off did they finally back off with their lower lip bitten. “Right, of course. Divine dragon please be safe and.. esteemed elder, please do not hurt this child any further.”
As soon as Tang Gunak and Maeng so had left the room, they were immediately spotted by their disciples. They had both indirectly planned on eavesdropping to make sure that the Divine dragon is safe. However, now that their disciples had noticed them, they have no choice but to reassure them all, especially the mount hua disciples.
Tang bo continued to stare at the door even when they had already left— making sure they weren’t planning on eavesdropping. Uneasy silence blanketed the whole room as soon as Tang gunak had finished speaking. The silence would’ve continued if it hadn’t been for a loud thud.
The sudden sound made Tang bo turn his head hurriedly and the sight that welcomed him made him feel as if his soul had left his body. Chung Myung’s small figure is currently kneeling down while holding his bleeding neck and while doing so, the intoxicating gaze he had never vanished despite his vision obviously going hazy.
He wasted no time and immediately grabbed a dozen of bandages and different kinds of ointments from his sleeve. With his trembling hand, he bandaged up the other’s neck. He was being slowed down by his own nervousness. He was the one who caused this in the first place, so why was he doing this now? As he bandaged the man with practiced ease, which he hated for how it felt so natural, his thoughts rapidly increased.
The moment Tang bo had found out about his hyung-nim’s death, he had already gone insane. He fought and killed his own family just to head to the hundred mountain range and confirm that his hyung-nim was not dead. And the very moment he saw his lifeless body, he remembered performing hundreds or even thousands of procedures that would always work. He made the corpse forcefully swallow precious elixirs continuously. Despite doing such desperate actions, he perfectly knew he was already gone— he was a doctor after all.
After hours of doing these stupid things, he finally stood up while carrying his husband’s lifeless body in a bridal carry. His still weak body was hit by a wave of nausea but, despite this, he held Cheong Myeong’s body corpse tightly on his arms and began to walk back to Sichuan.
He may have accepted his death but, he still believed of his return. How can a man as strong and righteous as him not be given a chance to live once more? He was the one who ended the war! However, his belief of Chung myung’s return became something he resented. The idea of his beloved returning only to fight a war and suffer once more? No, that is something that should never be repeated.
But, right at this moment, the man he wanted to stay dead had appeared right before his eyes once more. He wanted him to stay dead— isn’t that why he had thrown his dagger at him with pure killing intent? However, the thing he was doing right now is none other than saving him.
“…”
The hands at Chung Myung’s neck began to tighten, as if trying to choke him. Tang bo’s strength and his injured body caused him to fall over. He was now laying down while Tang bo was on top of him. Upon losing his balance, Tang bo withdrew his hands and grabbed another dagger from his sleeve. He held the dagger weakly with one hand while the other hand was ‘choking’ him.
“Hyung-nim, please.. please die.” His actions completely contradicted what he was saying. Tang bo wanted him to stay dead. But, no matter what he did, there will always be this selfish wish he had gnawing at him at the very, very bottom of his heart— he wanted to be with his hyung-nim once more.
“I can’t.” The dagger was stabbed at the floor a centimeter away from his head. However, despite this, all he did was reach out to his Bo-ya’s face. His hands cupped the man’s face as if in a trance. Instead of being afraid and thinking of ways to escape like any other would’ve felt, all he could think of was how pretty his leech looked. After a few seconds, Tang bo’s face began to distort as his eyebrows turned into a frown, his eyes trembling, and his nose slightly turning pink-ish red. And soon, tears began to fall out of his eyes.
In all the years he had spent with Tang bo, he had never seen him genuinely cry— even during the war. It was only after a hundred years did he witness Tang bo cry. His thumb slowly wiped a tear off of his face. Chung Myung’s fingers gently removed the eyepatch that was preventing him from fully seeing his leech’s face. Instead of seeing another breathtaking green eyes, what he saw was a pupil devoid of any color. But, that didn’t mean that this man was any less handsome.
Chung Myung continued to hold his face and wipe his tears away as if mesmerized. ‘Damn, why is this guy so pretty when he cries?’
After admiring his view for a few minutes that felt like forever, his hands retreated to hold his lover’s now silver hair. All he could think of was how pretty this man was. He twisted and wrapped the hair on his fingers continuously.
“Why?” Tang bo spoke between silent sobs that came out of his mouth. He lowered his head until he reached his now bandaged up neck and his hands began to embrace the other.
He couldn’t understand. Why was Chung myung acting like this? Why was he not screaming at him? Why isn’t he beating him up for leaving him to die alone? He couldn’t help but be confused. He hoped for Chung myung to just do so— things would’ve been better, easier to deal with.
..Why did the heavens even brought him back? Why are they doing this? They should've not made him live in this rotten world again!
Chung Myung continued to do the same thing as if he was unaware of Tang bo’s internal turmoil. He stared at Tang bo as if he was in a trance; cupping, nuzzling and touching his scarred face as though it was him who was the most fragile. Which was pretty ironic, it was none other none Chung Myung himself who had nearly passed out due to excessive bleeding.
Tang bo on the other hand, was contemplating whether he wanted to kill this man or.. keep him right beside him. If he killed him, Chung myung wouldn’t suffer once more. And if he chose to keep him— maybe lock him up.. he wouldn’t be exposed to life threatening situations and Tang bo will have all of him for himself but, that will surely mess up his mental health. He couldn’t decide whether he should live or die.
Their feelings completely contradicted with each other— Chung Myung simply felt relieved and mesmerized by the man in front of him while Tang bo was, in short, going insane.
Tang Bo had always thought that it was him who’ll meet his end first. He even had the audacity to ask his hyung-nim to take care of his family when it was him who ended up surviving. Before he could be drowned by his own thoughts, Chung Myung answered his question.
“I still have things to do.” Chung myung shifted to make himself even more comfortable at his embrace.
“Your work is done! What more do you need to do?!” Tang bo broke free from the embrace as he held Chung Myung’s arms so tightly that it made the other wince from the pain. Seeing this, he immediately loosened his grip— worry taking over him.
“There’s a bunch I need to do, you brat.” Chung Myung easily escaped free from Tang bo’s hold and instead of retreating away from him, he embraced the other even more. He pressed his head onto Tang bo’s chest— causing him to hear his thunder-like heartbeats. He could hear Tang bo’s heartbeats so clearly that it sounded so similar to a lullaby— he could fall asleep like this.
“Do I..” Just as Tang bo was about to refute, Chung myung abruptly peeled himself away from Tang bo’s chest. Then, Tang bo felt something warm and wet press onto his lips. Chung myung bit Tang bo’s lower lip hard enough to make it ooze out blood. This caused Tang bo to frown and open up his mouth slightly. And as if expecting this reaction, he used his tongue to dig deeper into Tang bo’s mouth. Sweet, metallic taste flooded their taste buds as Chung Myung continued to lick and bite Tang bo’s mouth. Seeing this, Tang bo couldn’t help but reciprocate his actions.
Chung Myung was the first one to pull back and catch his breath. “I may be nowhere near my past prowess but, I won’t die that easily. And,” Chung Myung gave Tang bo’s bleeding lips a peck, “I have you to stitch me back up.”
“If I have to stitch you back up again, then I’ll just lock you up and make sure I don’t have to.” Tang bo rested his head on Chung Myung’s shoulder as he embraced him even tighter
“Haven’t you already done that? I’ll just escape if you lock me up for too long. I have a bunch of work to do, you leech.” Chung Myung embraced the other just as tightly one last time before stepping back.
“…” Tang bo watched as Chung myung wiped the blood off his face and said, “It’s itchy.” It seems Tang bo was just as poisonous as he was back then.
“What are you doing?” Tang bo continued to stare at Chung myung without moving.
“What else you brat? You barged in while we were having a meeting. We’ll naturally continue the discussion.” Tang bo narrowed his eyes at the answer he had gotten.
“The Tang family I understand, but why is that guy here?” Tang bo finally stood up and slowly began to walk over the chair where Chung Myung was sitting at earlier.
“He’s not just some ‘guy’. He’s the head of the Yunnan beast palace. And he joined after we finalized the trade between Mount hua and Beast palace.” His ponytail swayed as he began to walk over the door to call the both of them.
“…” Tang bo crossed his legs and rested his head on his hand as he watched the two sect leaders hurriedly checking Chung Myung’s condition.
After checking Chung Myung’s well being, the two cautiously entered the room. And the very first thing they have noticed was the absence of the Dark saint's eye patch. While Chung Myung, as if not noticing the atmosphere, closed the door loudly and spoke as though nothing had happened.
“Well! I have no choice but to explain.” The plum blossom swordsman declared as he walked over to the Dark Saint and waving his hand at him— gesturing him to move over.
At the very beginning, when the esteemed Dark Saint had made an appearance, it had been an emotional rollercoaster. And now, all they could do was watch silently as the Dark Saint followed the Divine dragon’s orders without any complaint.
Tang Gunak swallowed dry saliva as he fixed his posture, “I greet the esteemed elder, the Dark Saint.”
Maeng so too, bowed his head at the man. After a few, awkward seconds of silence, Chung Myung of course, fortunately broke the awkward atmosphere. If only he spoke of something other than whatever he said. “Hey you brat, have you gone senile? Can’t you greet them back? You’re already 179 and yet you don’t know basic manners?”
The Dark Saint however, did not show any signs of anger from the blatant disrespect. “..Can’t the otherworldly force that bought you back give you a semblance of shame?” Tang Gunak couldn’t help but look at the ceiling, it seems his soul was trying to escape his mortal body as he saw the Dark saint actually pout.
“Oh? I heard a leech who’s well overdue 6 feet underground talk?” Chung Myung glared at Tang bo while his hand reached out for his sword.
“Brought you back?” Maeng so, who managed to ignore the bickering of two, asked.
“Ah, right. That’s the thing that I have to explain.” Chung Myung placed his sword back to its sheath then walked over to sit right beside the Dark Saint.
As soon as he sat down, a new atmosphere revolved around him. The youthful bravado he had vanished as if it had never existed in the first place. “What I am about to say is something even my sect leader does not know.” Chung Myung slightly bowed his head at two, “I’d appreciate it if this stays between us.”
“Of course.” Tang gunak, who’s soul had returned, answered in sync with Maeng so.
Chung Myung breathed in, and stood up to formally show his respect. “The thirteenth disciple, Plum blossom sword Saint Chung Myung greets the descendants of the Tang family and Yunnan beast palace.”
“…” Chung Myung did not move a single muscle. Both sect leaders felt their jaws drop to the ground. They immediately looked at the Dark Saint as though looking for a confirmation. And what they received was a cold glare from him.
“Do you think I would mistake my hyung-nim for someone else? Tsk.”
That was more than enough of a confirmation. And now that this happened, they finally noticed the still slightly red and puffy corners adorning the Dark saint’s eyes and his swollen lips. Did.. did Chung Myung punch him on the mouth?! No.. wait.
Their necks creaked as the turned to look at the now standing straight Chung Myung— he carried the aura of a veteran, something similar to the Dark saint’s. The first one to make a move was none other than Maeng so. He kneeled down as he yelled, “I greet the venerable Plum blossom sword Saint! The savior of the Yunnan beast palace! Please allow me, no, allow us to formally show our gratitude!”
Maeng So’s loud voice caused the whole room to shake, making Tang bo wince. Tang gunak then cleared his throat as he prepared himself to greet the other Saint.
“Hehe.. We’ll talk about that later.” Chung myung covered his mouth as he coughed with his shoulders shaking and mouth visibly twitching. “Let’s first finish the discussion about our alliance.” The swordsman finally cleared his throat and sat down once more. “And, there’s no need to call me anything like that or treat me differently, it’s weird. Just act like you always have..”
“That’s..” Maeng so hesitated to follow Chung myung’s request. While Tang Gunak only chuckled lightly and said, “If that is what you want, of course. After all, it’ll be better for us as well, my friend.” Tang gunak is a patriarch for a reason— he quickly calmed himself and replied with confidence. Not long after, Maeng so also agreed and laughed out loud once more.
The atmosphere in the room began to brighten once more. Until the Dark Saint decided to ruin it once again. Chung myung pinched his temples as he felt an intense gaze from the corner of his eye. He didn’t need to turn around to know what kind of expression Tang bo was currently making.
“How cold of you hyung-nim.” And Chung myung was completely right. Tang bo’s eyebrows has taken the form of a ‘V’, his eyes squinted and his lips pursed. He stared at his leech of a husband with a gaze that seemed to be far too used to this kind scene— where Tang bo looked at him with a face that says Chung myung had committed some kind of crime.
“…” The patriarch of the Tang family and the sect leader of the Beast palace felt out of place as they watched the two saints interact.
“Ehem, regarding the alliance..” Tang gunak’s gaze trailed off too the Dark saint. In which the said person replied,
"I approve of the alliance my hyung-nim had formed, naturally." Tang bo reached out to Chung Myung's bandaged neck and gently carressed the spot where blood spread.
"Will the Tang family withdraw from the Five great families?" He added as he watched the blood spread on he bandage when he pressed harder.
"That.. I believe that will happen sooner or later." Tang gunak looked at Chung myung's unbothered face. Now that he knew that Chung myung is indeed the Plum blossom sword saint, of course, their actions made him remember of the fact that they were close friends, according to the books and Tang Jopyung.
But still, their interactions feels oddly intimate.
"I see." was all the Dark saint said before grabbing and pulling Chung myung to his lap. His hands wrapped around Chung myung's waist while his head rested on his shoulder— inhaling the sweet smell of blood that contains a faint scent of plum blossoms.
"You insane brat." Chung myung did not do anything to escape the clingy leech. It seemed he even relaxed and leaned on him.
"Well then, we shall continue our discussion." Tang Gunak ignored the Saints' nonsense and began giving a whole summury of the meeting where they last went off.
"..Now, for the leader of the Heavenly comrade alliance." The room suddenly began to emit a competitive air at the mention.
"Mount hua wil lead!" Chung myung stood up and pounded his chest with comfidence.
"Now, now, dojang. I believe the Tang family can." The Tang patriarch wasted no time and declared his refusal, making Chung myung slightly surprised but soon grinned.
And before Chung myung could respond, "Oh? I believe our Yunnan beast palace can also lead." Maeng so opened his mouth and glared at the two.
"Hah, calling me dojang after knowing my true identity?" Chung myung crossed his arms as he squinted his eyes as he stared at the two in front of him with suspition.
"It can't be helped, you yourself said so." Tang gunak merely gave him a knowing smile.
"That, I did." Chung myung laughed out loud but soon turned to look at the side where the Dark saint quietly sat.
"Well, Bo-ya what do you think?" Chung myung smirked as if he already knew Tang bo's answer.
Tang bo casually lifted his tea as he replied, "The Tang family should lead."
"Hehe, hear tha-..?" Chung myung proudly turned around to look at the sect leaders with his shoulders raised high. But, It seems like he had misheared something.
However, what he had heard was correct. The answer he heard was far from what he had expected. His neck creaked as he turned around to look at Tang bo who was looking outside the window.
"Oh? What did I just hear?" Chung myung's eyebrows twitched as he smiled at Tang bo who had sweat building up on his forehead.
"I think I misheard something? Dear husband, shouldn't it be Mount hua who will take the lead?" Sweat began to fall from his forehead as he heard the uncharacteristically sweet voice of Chung Myung.
"I won't fall for your seduction anymore hyung-nim! You have the body of a brat!" The venerable Dark saint screamed as he ran away from the Sword Saint's sword.
Tang Gunak and Maeng so watched as the Twin saints, the very saints who had ended the war run around the room. They could only ose their eyes and chuckle exhausperatedly. But then, something clicked on their heads.
"Husband?!" They screamed in perfect sync— causing the saints to stop running around and chuckle nervously.
"Yes..?"
