Under the Healing Tree

Summary:

Sometimes Men (and Elves) experience difficult circumstances.

Friends or partners sail West (or decide not to)... a beloved pet runs away... a young mortal begins to feel his mortality... or a new mother struggles after the first birth of her child... the list goes on.

It’s long been known that Elrond of Riverdell is the best healer in the known world.

Men have made various superstitions about the elves, but one tradition holds that being in Elrond’s presence-and especially connecting with him through words or a handshake or a hug-can sometimes heal, but always helps at least a little bit...

Notes:

This story was inspired by a post on Tumblr - reblogged by AroAceBaggins - that said something along the lines of... "What if giving Elrond a hug solved all your problems?"

I hope you enjoy :)

He agreed. But the first plea for help that he answered was not a call to heal, but a call to find...
