Wowie zowie! A nightcrawler, lantern shork, and an azarue all “working” together in a kitchen!
Uhhhhh yea
Oki go read!
____
It was just like any other regular day in the cafeteria. Humans talking over each other and Raytraxians fighting over food while others sat and watched the chaos unfold. At this point everyone was used to the amount of chaos in the entire facility. Everyday was chaotic. Sir. Google decided to help out in the kitchen inside the second half of the cafeteria. Pretty out of character for him since he doesn’t like to be seen whenever the lights are on. Classic Nightcrawler trait. However, he was bored out of his mind and decided that lending a hand wouldn’t be so hard. Alongside him was Legend, a really short Lantern Shork. Legend has started to almost always be with Sir. Google lately, it would be really hard to not find them together. Normally, Legend wouldn’t be allowed inside the kitchen because he doesn’t “work” at the cafeteria but, Sir. Google does. By asking the one in charge of the cafeteria, Toyota, Sir. Google had permission to let Legend in.
Entering through the sliding door, the two walked in the kitchen. Sir. Google noticed that there was only one person there. Usually, there was an Azarue, who was engulfed in flames 24/7, and a Kawaii Shork behind the counter. Now, there’s only the Azarue. Legend looked around in awe at all the food and utensils scattered around the room, it was a mess but there was noticeable effort in having the place organized. Sir. Google placed a paw onto Legend’s shoulder. “Alright, Legend. just.. Don’t go crazy.” He looked up towards the Azarue who was checking up on some sort of stew, oblivious to the duo’s arrival.
“Hey, T! Sprinkle said I could help you out. Hope ya’ don’t mind!” The Azarue, T, didn’t look away from the stew. “That’s coo. I do need help cuz Trev’s gone. Just tell me ya’ didn’t bring that shark here..” Sir. Google stayed silent for a bit. Legend looked up at Sir. Google. “Is he talking about me?” T sighed. “God damnit, Crawla’.” Sir. Google chuckled. “Look, you know I can’t get em’ away from me. I’ll look over em’ kay?” T finally looked over at the two. “Sure..” Legend gave T a smile and began to do his iconic ‘happy bouncing,’ a thing he does whenever he’s in a good mood. “Haiii!” T gave a weak smile. “Hey.” T looked back at Sir. Google. “Well.. day’s pretty slo..” He glanced over at the chaos happening on the other side of the cafeteria. “Aside from that…” He crossed his arms and leaned onto the wall next to him, “Everyone and they Grandma’s ova there fo some reason.” A slight frown appeared on Sir. Google’s face, “So.. We just sit here and wait?” T grinned, “Hell yea!”
The three were now sitting on the floor. T sat behind the front counter, checking for any customers while Sir. Google and Legend were near a corner, slightly hidden by the island in the middle of the kitchen. Sir. Google was adjusting his goggles and Legend was lying down, using Sir. Google’s lap as a headrest while eating an apple. When suddenly, an idea popped up in Legend’s head. He began to grin as he looked up at Sir. Google who seemed to be lost in thought. Legend grabbed Sir. Google’s paw and gently placed it on top of his head. Sir. Google - obviously - looked down at Legend, confused. Legend gave them a cheeky ass smile and whispered, “Pet plez!” Sir. Google blinked a few times before carefully rubbing his paw through Legend’s hair, making sure he doesn’t mess their hair up. Legend started to softly hum as he continued to eat his apple.
“God damn.. Ain’t no one comin ova here!” T stood up and stretched for a while before making his way back to the - now known as - soup. The soup was more than likely cold now; but to double check, T sniffed it a bit. That’s one of the downsides to being engulfed in flames 24/7. Losing your sense of touch. The flames have burned off the nerves near T’s skin. How is he still alive? Who knows! How do Raytraxians like Nuclear Rabbit exist… Well.. Radiation of.. GAH! T lit the stove on low and walked back to the counter. Wait.. He looked behind him to where Sir. Google and Legend were at, only to find Legend curled up in Sir. Google’s lap, asleep. He couldn’t tell if Sir. Google was also asleep, since it was hard to look through their goggles. T sighed, and focused his attention back at the rest of cafeteria.
“Took em long enough.” T mumbled as he watched a human make their way to the front counter. “Hey. Want somethin?” The human crossed their arms. “Yup. Just a sandwich!” “Regula sandwich?” “Yup!” “Alright, it’ll be ready soon.” With that, the human walked away, sitting down at a table near the entrance to the freezer. T wiped a small piece of paper off th- “Ow! My head…” T stood still for a bit before slowly turning. He found Legend, completely awake, leaning on the kitchen island and clutching the back of his head. “Oh. Haii, T!” T scoffed. “Hey. Done bein lovebirds?” Legend stared at T. “We’re not.. Lovebirds..” “Ya’ll act like it.” T walked over to a shelf and grabbed a bag of sliced bread. Legend looked around the kitchen. “I just got a little sleepy and his lap was pretty comfy.” T placed the bag of bread near the stove and walked across the kitchen to grab a tray, almost bumping into Sir. Google. “Lovebirds do that too.” Legend turned around to see what T was doing. “But we- Ouhhh.. Whatcha makin??” T ducked down to open a cabinet and pulled out a bottle of mayonnaise. “Good ol regula sandwich.” Legend began to bounce.
“Can I make one too?” T thought for a while. “I… I guess…” “Yay!” Legend grabbed a tray and another bag of sliced bread. “Just don’t fuck stuff up.” Legend placed the bag and tray on the kitchen island. “Aye aye, captain!” He got two slices of bread, placed them in a straight line on the tray. “Hmm.. Oh!” He turned around and faced T. “Do you have a butterknife and some mayonnaise?” T was about to respond but he realized something. “Ah, fuck. Uh.” T pointed a digit over at drawer across the kitchen. “Buttaknife’s ova in that drawer. Get me one too.” Legend walked over to the drawer T pointed at and grabbed two butterknives from it. He quickly turned around but stumbled and smacked Sir. Google right in the face with his tail. He tries to regain his balance but ends up twisting his ankle and hitting his arm on the kitchen island while attempting to catch himself. His tail also smacks Sir. Google in the face, again, mid fall.
Both butterknives fly across the kitchen and Legend lies motionless on the floor. Sir. Google stares at them in shock. “What the fuck just happened.” As Sir. Google continued to stare, T was trying his hardest to not laugh. “F-Fuckin’.. Duh.. D-Dumass!” Sir. Google crouched beside Legend. “You good?” Legend groaned. “My arm..” Sir. Google chuckled and patted Legend’s back. “You’ll be fine.” He pulled Legend back up on their feet. Legend looked up at Sir. Google, a bit teary-eyed. “Sowy..” Sir. Google smiled and patted Legend’s head. “It’s fine.” He ended up accidentally messing up Legend’s hair but, he fixed it before Legend could say anything. Legend giggled and pointed at T. “I think T’s dying!” T was leaning on the counter, clutching his stomach while laughing uncontrollably. The flames on him seemed to have grown a bit. “I didn’t tell ya to bust yo ass! I only told ya to get the buttaknives!” Legend blinked a few times. “Ohh yeaaa!” He turned around and got two new butterknives from the drawer, this time without falling.
He placed one beside his tray and handed the other to T, who isn’t dying of laughter anymore. “Thank ya! I’ll give ya the mayonnaise afta i’m done with it.” Legend walked back to his tray. He looked at the two slices of bread and down at the butterknife. An idea popped up in his head. He grabbed the butterknife and stared up at Sir. Google, who was right beside him. It took a while for Sir. Google to notice. But when he did, he stared back. The two stared at each other for a bit. Sir. Google was confused but he didn’t say anything. He just stared back at Legend. This is starting to get awkward… The two kept on staring at each other, until Legend finally realized that was going to do something. He slowly raised the butterknife in front of Sir. Google’s face and started to wave it in a circular motion while saying, “Abracadabra!” Sir. Google chuckled. “All of that just for that?” Legend placed the butterknife back down and began to bounce.“Uh huh!” T handed Legend the bottle of mayonnaise and walked over to the fridge next to the sliding door.
From it, he grabbed a cabbage, two roman tomatoes, a container of sliced ham, another of sliced American cheese, and two red onions. He had to carry them in batches, of course, because he couldn’t grab them all without dropping some. He placed everything on the kitchen counter, on the other side of where Legend was. He looked around for a knife but couldn’t find one. “Ay, Crawla! Could ya get me that knife behind ya?” Sir. Google was caught off guard but quickly handed the knife to T. “Thank ya!” T started to cut the cabbage. While T was doing his thing, Sir. Google had enough of being in his thoughts and decided to look down at Legend. Only to see them use an unholy amount of mayonnaise. “Wha…” Legend looked up at him. “What?” Sir. Google pointed at the bread with mayonnaise. “Why does it have so much mayonnaise?” Legend looked down at the bread. “Oh!” He gigged. “I like mayonnaise!” Sir. Google blinked a few times. “O-Okay.. That’s a lot..” Legend continued to put more mayonnaise on the bread. Sir. Google decided to pet Legend, giving them ear scratches.
When suddenly, he started to smell something. It smelled nice, like food. “It’s startin’ to smell nice in here!” Legend started to grin. “Yea. It’s me!” Sir. Google scoffed. “That is not you. You smell like Chlorine.” Legend’s grin faded into a smile. “Well… I like the smell of Chlorine!” T started to cut the roman tomatoes. “It’s probably da soup. Crawla can you turn the stove off?” “Sure.” Sir. Google walled up to the stove and turned it off. “Say, what’s in the soup?” T, now, started to cut the onions. “I dunno. Trev usually does it. I don’t pay attention.” Sir. Google went back by Legend’s side and continued to give them ear scratches. “Kay! Here, uh.. Legend.” T handed Legend a cutting board with slices of cabbage, roman tomatoes, and red onions. He also gave them two containers of sliced ham and sliced American Cheese. “Ouuh! Tank u tank u!” Legend started to place the ingredients in the sandwich, taking a few bites out of the ham and cheese before placing those in and eating a slice of tomato. “What if I were to put a burger patty in the sandwich? Can I do that?” T grabbed a few napkins and placed them on his tray. “Uh.. Sure! Shouldn’t be hard to cook a patty.” T pointed at a fridge next to the sinks. “I think they in that freeza, if not then they in the walk in freeza.” Legend walked over to the fridge and grabbed a burger patty from it. While he was doing that, T walked out the kitchen to hand the customer their sandwich.
“Okay so, patty on stove, stove turn on, maybe low, and we wait?” “Yup!” Legend placed the patty on the stove, turned it on, set the flame to low, and took a bite out of his sandwich. He looked up at Sir. Google with a big ol’ smile. “You wanna share my sandwich?” Sir. Google raised a brow. “I thought you didn’t like sharing your food.” Legend bit his lip. “Well… I do. But.. You’re my bestie, so i’ll share with you!” Sir. Google smiled. “Alright, we can share!” Legend bounced on his feet. “Yay!” He looked over at the burger patty, clutching a spatula in his paws. “Come on, patty! Cook faster!” Sir. Google chuckled. “Be patient. You just put it on there.” Legend groaned dramatically. “Ugh. I wanna eat it! I’m hungry!” Sir. Google sighed and patted Legend’s back. T came back into the kitchen and glanced down at the floor. He found the butterknives Legend dropped. He picked them up and placed them in the sink, beginning to wash them.
“Oh, hey T!” T looked over at Legend. “Yea?” Legend stayed silent for a bit. “Huh? What? Oh yeah! What does your name stand for? Or do you have any other names that you go by?” T was a bit hesitant. “I do sometimes go by ‘Flowa boy, T’” Legend gasped dramatically and started to hop in place. “Scum Fuck Flower Boy! Tyler, the Creator reference!” Both T and Sir. Google stared at Legend in confusion. They were all silent. Legend awkwardly chuckled to break the silence but he could tell that they didn’t get the reference and might have taken it as an insult. He turned his attention over to the burger patty, he flipped it using the spatula he had in his hand and took a small bite out of his sandwich. T went back to washing the butterknives. “Now we wait fo anotha customa which don’t come till.. Like, 10 years!” Legend stared at the burger patty as if staring would make it cook faster. “Come on, bubby! Cook faster!.. Actually..” He squished the patty with his spatula. “I think it’s good!” He grabbed his tray, placed it next to the stove, and placed the patty in his sandwich.
“There we go!” He gave his sandwich a few pats. He was about to take a bite out of the sandwich when Sir. Google placed a paw on Legend’s shoulder, making him stop. “Forgetin something?” Legend looked up at Sir. Google. “What do you mean?” “You said you’d share.” Legend blinked a few times. “Oh yeahhh!” Sir. Google grabbed a knife. “I’ll cut it for ya.” He sliced the sandwich in half, making two right triangles. He grabbed the bitten one and left the non-bitten one for Legend. “Hey, why’d you get that one?” Sir. Google took a bite out of it. “More for you.” Legend tilted his head a bit. “But I bit that..” Sir. Google shrugged. “It’s fine. I don’t mind.” Legend started to eat his slice. But then he realized something. “Are you trying to tell me somethin?” Sir. Google shook his head. Everytime Legend shared his food with Sir. Google, Sir. Google would always take the half that Legend bit, saying, “I want you to have more,” as an excuse. Pretty weird, considering that Sir. Google has been acting a bit strange towards Legend lately. He’d say he wants to be alone yet, he wants Legend to be near him. “Eh, whatever! I’m hungry.” Legend happily started to munch on his slice of sandwich. “I think the patty’s a bit undercooked…” “It is.” “Aw..”
