Chapter Text
Daichi taps his pencil on the desk, his head lazily planted on his hand and his elbow on his desk. His head was in the direction of the clock. 5 more minutes until summer break begins, and one more day until the trip to the Bahama’s. He felt antsy yet anxious for the trip because he would need to take care of 11 idiots that could cause mayhem, and that would be super unnecessary. He’s basically responsible for them, yet some were the same grade level as him. They were all just immature, with Akaashi and maybe Iwaizumi as an exception. Otherwise, they were all just plain chaos.
The bell rings, snapping Daichi out of his thoughts and dropping his pencil in the process. He goes down to pick it up before packing up his backpack to leave.
“Have a great summer!” The teacher chirps as Daichi leaves the classroom, Suga following behind.
“Daichi! Are you excited for the Bahama’s trip tomorrow?” Suga asks. Daichi could feel the excitement vibrating off him.
“Yeah. Are you packed?”
“Hell yeah,” the grey haired boy grins. “I got everything I needed. I packed my very amazing water bottle, sunscreen of course…”
As Suga continued to list on, Daichi looks at Suga’s excited face as the two exited the school grounds. He felt somehow mesmerized at how he could just look like that. Then he snaps to reality when Suga snapped his fingers in front of his face.
“Are you okay? You’re kind of just staring at me,” Suga claims, raising a brow. Daichi felt his neck grow hot.
“Oh, it’s nothing. Well, my stop is here, I’ll see you tomorrow?” Daichi rambles quickly before turning away, leaving Suga behind confused.
“Uh, ok, see you tomorrow!” Suga waves to him. Once Daichi was far enough so he was out of Suga’s view, he slaps his hands onto his face and rubs them. What the fuck was that.
Daichi swings open his bedroom door and flops onto his bed, groaning. Tomorrow, him and 11 other people will be going on the private jet that he paid for with his savings and fly to the Bahama’s, and he really hopes that everyone packed well enough for the roughly one day travel.
--
The travel does not begin smoothly.
“Okay, role call.” Daichi announces in the noisy train station, clapping his hands to get everyone’s attention. “Tsukishima?”
“Here.”
“Kageyama.”
“Here.”
“The two Aoba Johsai players, Oikawa and Iwaizumi.”
“Here.”
“Where’s Oikawa?” Daichi asks Iwaizumi, who frowns.
“He’s running late. He was being too picky with his choice of clothing today and ended up having to ask me what to wear. He should be coming soon.”
“Tell him to hurry up because the trains coming soon.”
Iwaizumi nods and pulls out his phone to text Oikawa. Daichi continues.
“Hinata.”
“Kageyama, watch,” Hinata whispers before shouting as loudly as he can. “At your service, sir!”
Some people in the train station look at the group incredulously, while Daichi might die of embarrassment.
“Boke, don’t do that,” Kageyama scolds, slapping Hinata at the back of his head.
“Ow!”
Daichi frowns at the call before continuing down the list. “Suga.”
“Present.”
“And lastly, Yamaguchi.”
“I’m here.”
“Okay!” Daichi sighs. “We just have to wait for Oikawa, then we’ll be going soon.”
They ended up waiting for another five minutes before the brunette finally came.
“I’m here!” His sickly sweet voice called over from the entrance. Daichi claps his hands once Oikawa finally reached the group.
“Okay! Get out your train tickets to Tokyo…”
“Shit!” Hinata mumbles, searching through his bag. “I left mines at home!”
Everyone in the group gave him disbelieving looks.
“Are you serious, Hinata?” Daichi groans, rubbing his temples. “The train leaves in about 8 minutes, what’re we going to do?”
“Could we buy his ticket now?” Yamaguchi suggested.
“No, it’s all sold out.” Tsukishima mutters. “It’s not like I care anyways. You can stay here, Hinata.”
Hinata gapes. “No, I’m going to the Bahama’s!”
“How..?”
“I’ll sneak in!” Hinata proposed, beaming. His idea was almost considered before being turned down.
“No. I am not risking getting in trouble and kicked off.” Daichi says, shaking his head.
“Please? I’m small enough, I can hide easily!”
“We can shove him in a suitcase. I just hope he wouldn’t suffocate in there,” Suga recommends.
“We’re not killing anyone either,” Daichi frowns.
“Well, what if I just hide in someone’s clothes, and they can just pretend their fat or something?” Hinata asks. “I think I’m light enough.”
Suga snorts. “Yeah, that’ll work!”
Daichi sighs. “As if that’ll even work.”
It did work. After lots of protesting from a flushed Kageyama, Hinata was successfully hidden and shoved into Kageyama’s sweatshirt, who was also being covered by a couple layers of jackets and two shirts.
“Tobio-chan! You look ridiculous!” Oikawa teased, cackling and holding onto his stomach. Kageyama flushed a deeper red.
They managed to give the tickets and sneak past the security while Hinata continues to cling onto Kageyama’s bare shoulders. Kageyama might just pass out.
Finally, once they were on the train, they were able to peel off all the jackets and shirts that was hiding Hinata, and Hinata escaped Kageyama’s shirt, wiping sweat off his forehead.
“It was so hot in there, like an oven!” Hinata complained, collapsing onto a chair.
“S-Shut up, idiot,” Kageyama snaps, looking away towards the window.
“What, cat bite your tongue?” Tsukishima smirks, kicking Kageyama’s seat that was in front of him. Kageyama glares back at him before turning back towards the window.
The ride, and Daichi was absolutely grateful, to Tokyo was quite peaceful. There was only one moment of slight chaos but other than that, it was nice. The view outside the window was beautiful, and before he knew it, they were in Tokyo.
“Alright, group,” Daichi claps, still feeling a quite sleep deprived. “We’re going to pick up Bokuto, Kuroo, Akaashi and Kenma then head off to the airport. Any questions or concerns?”
“We finally get to see master!” Hinata beamed, raising fists into the air.
Master..? Tsukishima raises a brow but doesn’t question otherwise.
The group eventually did get to pick up the other four, who were all waiting in Kuroo’s home.
“My disciple!” Bokuto grins, high fiving Hinata.
“Hey, Hinata,” Kenma waves before continuing to play on his video game.
“Tsuki! Hi!” Kuroo clasps Tsukishima’s shoulders, who frowns.
“Don’t call me that,” he grumbles.
Akaashi, the last one out, carried out four suitcases, each belonging to himself, Kenma, Bokuto and Kuroo.
“Get your suitcases, oh my god,” He groans, throwing each suitcase to the other three, which knocked them in the back and had even managed to knock Kenma’s video game out of his hands.
“Akaashi! Meanie,” Bokuto pouts, snatching his suitcase handle. Akaashi just sighed; sometimes, Daichi wondered how he could even put up with the three.
Once they all took separate cabs and arrived at the FBO, a private terminal in the airport, they did quick ID and security checks and gave their luggage’s to the staffs. Once they did, they finally got to go into the lounges.
“I’m going to get some snacks. Want to come with me, Iwa-chan?” Oikawa asks, tugging on the other boys sleeve cuffs.
Iwaizumi shrugs. “Sure.”
The two head off towards a small 7/11, with Bokuto and Akaashi following behind.
“Akaashi!” Bokuto yells, carrying a huge pile of snacks in his arms.
“Bokuto-san, quiet!” Akaashi shushes him. “Why do you have so many snacks?”
“Since I’m a really sincere person…” Bokuto stops to look at him. “That’s how you use sincere, right?”
Akaashi nods, and Bokuto continues. “Since I’m a really sincere person, I’m buying this much so the entire group can get some snacks!”
“That’s very thoughtful of you,” Akaashi states, before going to have a look of the cold foods section.
Oikawa, on the other hand, was buying food all for himself.
“Oikawa, you have plenty of food, why won’t you share some?” Iwaizumi sighs.
“Because!” Oikawa gesture with his hands, which made no sense to the other.
“You have, like, 50 pieces of milk bread in your hands.” Iwaizumi stops before continuing. “Actually, you know what, never mind. You’re going to need all that for your flat ass.”
“Iwa-chan!” Oikawa pouts. “I don’t have a flat ass!”
“Have you even checked?”
Oikawa smirks, his face suddenly smug. “You checked mines out before?”
“Wha,” Iwaizumi coughs, turning red. “No, shitty-kawa, I just know! Shut up!”
“Everyone!” Daichi’s voice echoed, alerting everybody in the private terminal. “We can start boarding now! Make sure you’ve gotten everything you needed!”
Once Oikawa paid for all his 50 milk breads and Bokuto paid for all of his many snacks, which the cashier gave them raised eyebrows, they dashed towards the rest of the group, who was ready to start boarding.
“Okay… That’s a lot of milk bread,” Suga blinks at the sight of Oikawa’s full arms. “I didn’t even know 7/11 sold this much of it.”
“Well, no worries, because I’m eating all of it,” Oikawa announces proudly, dropping one accidentally in the process. Kageyama, who was behind Oikawa, bends down to pick it up and hid it in his pocket.
The walk to their private jet wasn’t long. After a few minute walk, the private jet came into sight, and it looked absolutely magnificent. The white, bright wings shown in the sun, and it looked just absolutely stunning.
Kuroo was the first one to step in. After him was followed by Kenma, then Tsukishima and so on.
The interior of the jet was much more stunning. There were tan cushioned seats on each side of the plane, with a couple brown fancy tables in front of some seats. There were circle windows beside each seat for looking at the outside view. In the back was a kitchen for in-flight dining, and a lavatory next to it. It looked absolutely luxurious and magnificent.
“Daichi, how did you even afford this?” Kenma asks, touching the seats like it was something fragile.
“Well, I had some help, of course,” Daichi chuckles, taking a seat.
Once everyone was in, seated, and awed by the fancy plane, the pilot of the jet came forward.
“Hello, and welcome to GulfWater G640 Private Jet. Before we go, we’ll explain some safety rules, then we can get going! I’m Sofusa, the pilot for this jet, it’s nice to meet you!”
Once the jet staff and the pilot finished explaining their safety rules, which Daichi will highly doubt anyone of the group would even follow them, they took off.
“Oh my god, Tsuki! We’re taking off!” Yamaguchi says excitedly, tugging on Tsukishima’s sleeve cuffs.
“Yeah, I know,” Tsukishima mumbles before sliding his headphones on. Bokuto proceeds to accurately throw the several snacks he bought for everyone, while Oikawa continues to hog all the milk bread.
The first hour on the private jet felt tiring. Daichi slides on his eye mask and closes his eyes, ready to drift off to sleep, but before he could, something bumped his head. He lifted off his eye mask in confusion, but it was just a small snack gifted from Bokuto. After thanking him, he opens the snack to eat it after figuring that he is quite hungry and enjoys the outside view, or tries to, at least. The background behind him was rowdy. He was even pelted with two popcorns on the back of his head, courtesy of Suga.
Eventually, he finishes the snack and throws it away into the trashcan, and slips on his eye mask once again, closes his eyes, and finally drift off into sleep.
