Chapter Text
Louie was playing with his phone in the manor while his brothers, Webby, Max and their new peculiar friends, the Warner siblings, were just talking and messing around. Wakko was eating a bunch of spicy chips to then burp fire while Dewey cheered him on. Dot was messing with Huey and Webby(something about lizard people?)and Max was just talking to yakko about who knows what really. From what Louie learned these past months is that yakko can talk about anything and everything so It was hard for him to keep up at times .'Harder to understand than uncle Donald if you ask me' he thought as he put his phone down for a bit, just to pay a bit more attention to his (not related)cousin.
There was just something bothering about Max but he couldnt really put a word to It yet. Like, his eyes looked softer at times, he gets a little flusttered out of nowhere and his Tail just starts wagging softly at random moments(he has even heard a few a-hyucks skip from the teen wich is odd)and that only happened when......
'No way'
He looked at the teen and then at the smaller teen talking to him then back at Max.
'How long has this been going on?' he thought, as he tried to think about how long ago has he notice the changes in Max's behavior.
So he started doing the math. 'Okey so the first change was when we went to the studio for the first time and that was...' he took out his phone and checked on the group chat messages(yes they have a cousins group chat)'Two months ago, holy crap Max' he started to wonder if anyone else knows, but if they did, he would have known. Their family can be a lot after all, but not in a bad way, its more that they are a bit intense.
He felt someone grabbing him by the arm "Hey green bean whats got you so quiet huh?", said Dot while tossing him around. "I was just gonna get to the flat earth stuff with them!", she said as she pointed at both Huey and Webby.
"Please dont" said Huey very exasperated about the whole thing, Louie thought It was pretty funny, so he just played along.
But he was still cought up on the whole Max thing while on it.
He looked at Yakko to try and see if he was as interested as Max was, but that was kind of hard to tell. The warners are pretty good a keeping their emotions to themselves, from what he could tell these two months, so there was no way for him to know if yakko reciprocated max's feelings at all, but atleast there was one thing he did know and that was:
That he would pretend he doesnt know about It, he isnt very into the lovey dovey stuff, so he would rather pretend than to just tell Max he knows. After all, that is max's bussiness and not his 'he cant be that down bad right?'
A few hours passed and the warners were leaving to their water tower. They were saying their goodbyes as Max tried to offer them a ride back home(if you could call a water tower a home)but yakko just shook his head amused by the offer. "Maxie boy we dont really need a ride"he said as he pulled a bucket of paint from his hammer space and painted a door on the wall, and looked at it pleased "see?theres no need for ya to worry that fuzzy head of yours~" he said while booping Max's nose with his finger.
Max just giggled a bit as he looked at the other softly"Alright but next time you will let me, my dad wants to meet you guys" Wakko and Dot seemed excited about the prospect and yakko just nodded, the three went through the door "Thats all folks!" And they closed it, Max just sighed and had that look on His face again while his tail wagged slightly.
Louie just punched him in the side
"Ow! What was that for!?"Max exclaimed as he looked at the tiny duck
Louie just shrugged and went to the kitchen
He grabbed a soda from the fridge and sigh "Oh boy he is down bad" he said to himself as he opened the can, wondering how long would he be able to keep this to himself.
He sure hopes they get together before he has to say anything or he would die of second hand embarassment.
