The moon was high in the sky as Scourge stood on the outlook over the two, the large green gemstone in his hand shimmering in the dim light.
Shutting his eyes, he tossed the Master Emerald into the air, hearing it shatter before the multicolored Chaos Emeralds quickly orbited around him.
“Alright, let's see what this form can do.”
Opening his eyes, the golden form shone on everything around him, making the forest glow like a field of gold before he took to the skies.
Sparkles danced around him as he soared through the air, enjoying the warm feeling in his chest as the unmatchable power coursed through his entire body.
This feels nothing like Anarchy Beryl. This feels… perfect.
After having his fun for a moment, he floated down to the trampled town below, reminding himself why he came out tonight.
Tom was waiting for him outside city hall, the only one he told his plan to. “Do you think this will work?”
Shining Scourge took a deep breath as a small ball of Chaos Energy formed in his hand. “It worked on the house so it should work here too. If not, well that sure as hell is going to be one expensive construction bill.”
Floating above the town sheriff, the golden hedgehog focused on one of the collapsed buildings and aimed the small orb of energy at it.
Alright, ‘fix’ did more than I wanted. Let’s try… ‘restore’.
“Chaos Control.”
A soft golden glow washed over the building, and he smiled as he watched the building stitch itself back together exactly as it was before.
Bingo. One down. About a hundred more to go.
From below, Tom watches with a smile as the hedgehog goes from building to building, fixing each one with ease and lighting up the town like a sunrise as the golden glow spreads steadily.
“Nice job, bud.”
