Chapter Text

After a way too long day, my feet drag back to my room. A mild headache has started and my eyes are drier than The Gates. If one more godsforsaken thing happens I will snap.

My semi-limp hand turns the doorknob and the second it opens I hear-

Singing? And water running. . .

Oh. Grim’s singing in the shower again.

This time though I’m met with a dumpsterfire of him practically yelling, “I’M GONNA KEEP DANCING AT THE PINK PONY CLUB. . .” and so on and so forth.

Off key, I might add.

It should anger me or annoy me or anything a regular person might feel but. . . it’s cute.

I’m just happy he’s so passionate about Chappell Roan. He's gone so far that anytime anyone slightly mispronounces her name (including me) he will go on this long rant about how disrespectful it is. I’m 90% sure the second Zed, one of my friends, heard Grim’s rant he made sure to mispronounce her name. Every. Single. Day.

Honestly, I’m surprised I didn’t hear him before I came in. My walls are pretty soundproof, but he was being really loud.

I mean. . .we’re also pretty loud not singing.

Fuck. I can’t be thinking about that. He’s in the fucking shower for the gods’ sakes.

One by one I tear my way too heavy armor (why do I wear that all day?) and clothing off, get a comfy loose shirt on, and I flop onto our bed. A few minutes later, and a few yelled songs later, the water finally turns off and I hear him get out of the shower. He steps out with a towel around his waist, hair messy and barely dried off.

I mean yes he’s pretty, but he’s getting water all over our carpet.

I jump off the bed and walk towards him, “What do you think you’re doing?!”

“I thought you would be home later. . .” He says in a slightly hoarse voice. I’m assuming it’s from the singing, but I’ll be damned if it wasn’t hot.

I turn away to hide what might or might not be a blush on my face and I say, “Well, what does that have to do with anything?”

“The carpet usually dries by the time you're home.” His eyes dart to me and a smirk spreads across his face.

“So you do,” I widely motion to the water dripping off him, “this everyday?!”

“Yes, sunshine.” He drops the towel suddenly while staring into my eyes.

I- I clear my throat and don’t even try to pretend I’m not looking. “You need help.”

“Only if it’s from you.”
