Chapter Text
"Hey, Pierre!"
"Hello, there, Philip!"
"Felipe."
The blonde corrected, frowning.
"Whatever."
Felipe rolled his eyes. By now, he was used to Pierre's attitude. After a certain point, it was more amusing than annoying.
He sighed, chuckling.
"Ah, there's your characteristic stubbornness."
"Well, this stubbornness you're talking about is what got the studio to approve my project, isn't it?"
Pierre was extremely proud of how far he had come in such a short time, and he owed it all to his rigor and perseverance. Would he be in his position if he had given up after being rejected? Of course not! He had sent over twenty-five letters (since he considered this too important to end up in a spam folder) to the owner of the production company demanding that they gave his proposal a chance. And, as expected, the test audience had loved the pilot he'd filmed... even with the low budget he was given.
"Speaking of which, I see you finally came to your senses and gave him the part."
Felipe raised his eyebrows with that damned mocking smile.
"So you read what I sent you."
"I told you he was perfect, but you're too proud to admit I'm right."
"It's not that he was perfect! It's just that the rest of the auditions were mediocre."
"Sure. Of course."
He kept that smirk on his face that made Pierre want to strangle him. Too bad he was good at his job. Oh, and, of course, Pierre doesn't kill people... contrary to what many think, but he blamed that on his film and television career. He had a certain tendency to play villains, murderers... charismatic, yes, but criminals nonetheless.
And this was no exception. He would have preferred to dedicate himself solely to directing and writing his new series, but none of those who auditioned for the role of Alastor played it the way he envisioned. So, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands.
They entered the set. They were supposed to film the first scenes of the first episode today, now that the series had been greenlit.
Both of them arrived early, being two of the three directors, to go over the final details before the rest of the cast arrived and they had to go change.
Felipe was also one of the actors, playing Lucifer. Although his character doesn't appear until several episodes later, sl Pierre had entrusted him with directing everything while he acted.
Again, he would have preferred to be the sole director, but since he had to take on the role of Alastor, he couldn't handle so many things on his own. That's why Felipe and Vivienne were his co-directors. He trusted them both completely, having worked with them on previous projects. They were focused on their work, though less obsessive than he was.
"Did you check the suggestions I wrote?" Felipe asked, checking the set. They would begin by filming Charlie's room. There was a brief animated sequence before, but another studio was already working on that.
Pierre approached, sighing.
"Indeed, but I think you went a bit overboard with the swearing."
Felipe scoffed.
"Come on, they're in fucking Hell. I'd swear too."
"We shouldn't push our audience's patience."
"Okay, we can tone it down a bit..." He paused, admiring the set designers' work. "It's not bad. It feels cozy for a room in Hell."
"It was Leonore's design."
The one who plays Charlie. Although Pierre hated to admit it, and never would, his original idea for that setting was entirely worse. But Leonore had insisted he heard her proposal, and he'd loved it. Far more elegant and infernal than he'd imagined. More fitting for a princess of Hell. She was made for the role. She hadn't even needed to audition: as soon as Alastor started thinking about the part of Charlie, she was the first person who came to mind.
"Wow! You accept proposals from actors and hire Vincent to play Vox as I told you? Aww, has old Pierre gone soft?" Thebrown-haired gave him a light punch, not really offended, but annoyed nonetheless.
"Of course not! It's just that, sometimes, people do things right! Very rarely! Hardly ever!"
"Convince yourself of that while you get ready, fawn. Go put on your costume."
"You're lucky you sing well."
"Oh, thanks!"
Pierre grunted as he headed to his dressing room.
It was going to be a long day.
