You try to choose to stop
But she ignores it
That isn't what she wants to hear, so they keep walking
With every step they take, her body shakes in desperation
You can't even tell them to stop like before...
They're sinking deeper and deeper, your vessel lifting her head in a feeble attempt to save her.
She is running away from everything in this life.
They are running away from you.
You caused this, the realization hits harder than usual.
The two of them vanish from sight, and you keep pressing the button, trying to make them stop. Despair blinds you as they go deeper into the lake and the world around you turns white.
Your actions caused this.
Then an idea crosses your mind, and you stop.
If you don't push them any deeper... they won't go any deeper
It might be too late to undo everything you did in this save, but... stopping won't make things worse.
The world is lost in the sea of white around you, and the two of them are nowhere to be seen. Just you, in an infinite void, just like when it all began.
If only things could be different... sure, there's the other save, but things are heading down a difficult path there too, and you don't know what awaits you. The image of Susie walking into the supply closet flashes through your mind, and your stomach turns.
Those kids needed a real adult, someone they can trusth
People need to know
Not for the first time since the route got weird, you wish you had stayed with Susie. She must be terrified about Kris and Noelle going missing. You’d like to go back and hug your friend, but maybe *you’re* the one who needs it right now.
Susie is the embodiment of hope
She would know what to say to cheer you up (if she forgave you for everything you’ve done) (she wouldn't forgive you, you know that).
Hey, who knows—maybe she’d have an idea…
You freeze in place and straighten your back.
Susie isn't here to come up with a crazy idea, but you were always a creative kid when you were younger.
It might be crazy, but it’s either this or going back to the pacifist save.
And, let’s face it, you wouldn’t be where you are now if you weren’t curious about what might happen if you did something different.
This is going to be very, very interesting.
