Chapter Text
Lohen wandered through the streets of Nod Krai, idly twirling his knife in his hand. The streets were barren, like they typically were as soon as the sun set in the land, and for good reason too. See, Nod Krai had a history of vampires roaming around. Lohen could only imagine the things that those creatures got up to. So, the Knights of Favonius from Mondstadt had been called to help with the problem... as well as the Wild Hunt, but he'd been given the task of vampire hunter.
From what he gathered, vampires tended to snag victims off the sides of the road before feeding and leaving with barely any trace. He imagined older people, probably looking around their 50s. Looking kind, gentle. Asking for help from younger people such as himself. Leaving the person lightheaded and dazed from bloodloss. The thought made his heart race. He smiled slightly.
He blinked himself back into focus, noticing he was in the middle of an alleyway. He had to stop letting his thoughts distract him while on a mission. He turned around, intending to go back to the main street. He had a job to do, after all.
He only took one step before a wall of rock was pushed from the ground, stopping him from leaving the alleyway. It glowed slightly. He stepped back, bewildered. There was someone here.
His back met an object that wasn't there before. He realized too late that it was a person, as arms wrapped around him, keeping him close to their chest. One hand moved up to cover his mouth, the other keeping his arms down so that his knife was useless.
He struggled to break free. If he was to be abducted, he wanted to make it as horrible as possible for his abducter. However, it seemed this person either had a lot of strength, or they were used to others trying to break free. He could feel a breath at his neck. Oh.
Pain shot through his neck suddenly, earning the world a muffled groan. He could feel fangs in his neck, stopping blood from rushing out of the wound. Though, he found himself unable to think about it for long, as a comfortable warmth had started spreading through his body. It fogged up his mind in a pleasant way and made his body relax, eyelids growing heavy with exhaustion. Before he knew it, he'd lost consciousness.
...
Lohen woke up on a bed softer than his own. His arms were raised above his head, with what he knew were cuffs keeping them there. His mind was still a bit fogged up, making it hard to process his surroundings. He could make out a desk on the other side of the room, with a window above it. There was a bookshelf that held quite a few stacks of papers, and a bird cage sat in a corner of the room. There was no bird in the cage.
A weight sat on the edge of the bed, a hand finding his hair and pushing his bangs back. He could mostly process the person's features. Silver-ish hair, icy eyes with a red-ish center, a smile on the person's face. He recognized this person.
"Oh, Sir Lohen. You're awake." Captain Illuga greeted, his hand placed against Lohen's forehead. Lohen just blinked up at the man.
"Mm, seems it hasn't fully worn off yet. No worries, you'll like the outcome of what's going to happen."
"Hasn't fully... Birdie, what're you talking about? What's going on?" Illuga smiled again.
"Well, you see, when I saw you wandering through the street by yourself, I knew something was up. You typically sneak out to the wilds at night, nowhere near the city. I just had to see what you were doing, but I couldn't seem to catch your attention, even if you looked directly at me."
Lohen shifted his arms slightly. The hand on his forehead slipped up to keep them still. Something about Illuga's eyes at that moment gave him the impression that he was prey. Something in his mind perked up at that.
"I was on a mission. There have been reports of vampires in the city- what were you doing alone at night!?"
"Hey, don't turn this on me now. Vampires, you say? Do you know the appearance of the one you were trying to track down?"
"I- well they- they only had a vague image of the vampire. Caught in the middle of motion. But it had light hair, and was wearing dark clothes."
A smirk replaced Illuga's smile. Lohen blinked. Light hair, dark clothes... his birdie had light hair... and he typically wore dark clothes... his head was starting to hurt, but his eyes widened nonetheless.
"You won't tell, right bunny?" Illuga muttered out, the glint of fangs in his mouth obvious now that Lohen was looking. The knight shifted around despite the restraints around his wrists.
"What happened!? How did this... who did this!?" His body tensed, thinking of how he'd rip the vampire who turned his birdie a new one.
"Oh, relax. I was born like this. No one bit me." Illuga reassured, leaning closer to Lohen. "It's actually quite the last resort to turn a human. Typically vampires are just born."
"So you've... been killing your own kind..?"
"The vampires I kill have gone way too far. They're practically feral. A danger. Most vampires know not to drink too much blood from humans."
There was silence for a few seconds.
"In fact, you passed by quite a few friendly vampires tonight. They like to hide from the public." Illuga removed his hand from Lohen's wrists, leaving only the cuffs holding them in place. Lohen then remembered something Illuga said earlier.
"No worries, you'll like the outcome of what's going to happen."
"Uh, Birdie. What are you planning to do?" Illuga tilted his head in confusion, letting out a small "hm?".
"Oh right um- you said I'd like what was going to happen." The vampire's eyebrows raised, as if remembering the original reason he'd essentially kidnapped the knight.
"Right. I was gonna feed from you." It was said so casually. Like the weather. Oh hell, Lohen liked that.
"And I'm the best candidate? They make us eat a lot of um... repellant though."
"Oh, I know, I can smell it. It doesn't do anything to us though." Illuga leaned forward, fiddling above Lohen for a second before the knight felt the cuffs loosen around his wrists. He brought his arms down, staring in confusion.
"Easier blood flow." The vampire explained.
"Wait wait wait, so you're not even gonna ask for my consent?"
"Lohen, bunny, you'd have found a way to leave if you didn't want to be here."
"..."
"...Fine. Dearest knight, may I have permission to drink your blood?"
"...Show me your fangs first."
Illuga obliged, opening his mouth to show off his fangs. They were long and sharp, like how they typically were after two weeks of not having fed. Lohen could see a few drops of leftover venom land on the vampire's tongue. Illuga's eyes never left him. They were intense. He was obviously being highly patient. Lohen shuddered slightly and reached out to poke at one of his fangs. Illuga sighed softly, mouth closing halfway at the touch.
"Sensitive?" Lohen asked.
"Sort of." Illuga replied. "You're teasing." Lohen's eyes widened slightly. The vampire closed his mouth, leaning towards the knight and holding eye contact.
"May I?"
Lohen stared up at his birdie. Despite everything, he knew he was safe. He nodded.
"You may."
Illuga's eyes lit up, before he dipped down so that his head was in the crook of Lohen's neck. The knight then felt the same pain from earlier, however this time the groan was for the other man's ears only, and was no longer muffled. Lohen closed his eyes, feeling his body grow limp under the vampire. He focused on the comforting weight of the man above him, wanting to move and hold onto him but paralysed by the venom in his system from said man.
He was surprised to find the pain quickly turning into pleasure. Was he that much of a masochist? He let out a whine, unable to stifle it. He felt Illuga chuckle against his neck. The man pulled away just an inch.
"Normal side effect. It's to make sure you don't pass out from pain." He explained, before returning to his earlier position.
A few minutes of nothing but small whines and the sound of sucking passed by. Illuga sighed then, content. He gathered a little bit more of Lohen's blood before giving the knight a kiss. Lohen could taste the warm liquid on the other's tongue. He wanted to keep him there. He opened his eyes, vision blurry. Illuga smiled softly.
"Sleep, bunny. I'll take care of you."
Lohen didn't need to be told twice.
...
Lohen awoke slowly, noticing that it was now light outside. He glanced down, taking in the outfit he was wearing. A pair of Illuga's pajamas. They looked oversized on him, even if the only difference between their builds was that the other had more muscle. They were warm though, a blessing in Nod Krai with how cold it was.
He glanced over to beside him, noticing Illuga sound asleep. Lohen smiled softly, before remembering the events leading up to the moment.
He should leave. He... he should've left.
But he didn't. He stayed right where he was, shifting to be able to wrap his arms around the other man. He buried his face into the crook of the other's neck, inhaling the subtle scent of his shampoo. His eyes closed again. This was fine.
