Dandy shuddered as he hugged his aching stomach and laid on his side in his bed. He whimpered as a cramp hit him and some tears streamed down his face at how much it hurt. He felt the urge to throw up yet swallowed the bile in his throat before it could happen.
Pebble trotted over to him with a water bottle clamped in his jaws and his master took it with a shaking hand before unscrewing the top and taking a few sips. The cold water helped to make his mouth not so dry and he felt a little bit less awful but he was still really weak.
Dandy: “Mmgghhh…th-thanks, b-bud…urgh, it fucking hurts so bad…”
Pebble whined as he hopped onto the bed and smooshed his body up against his master’s stomach. Dandy shuddered as he pet his buddy with gratitude for trying to help ease his pain. He felt his head spinning so shut his eyes to try to get some sleep.
A few minutes passed by and the door opened as Astro entered the room. He approached the lump on the bed and sat down beside it, hearing a weak groan that came from underneath it. Pebble perked up an ear and lifted his head as he wagged his tail and Astro smiled before petting his head.
The moon toon then looked back at where he suspected Dandy was lying and spoke up.
Astro: “Are you not feeling well? You haven’t left your room all day.”
Dandy: *sounding like he’s been crying* “Everything hurts so much right now…”
Astro: “Oh, you poor thing…I brought you a heating pad in case you wanted it?”
Dandy’s trembling arm reached out and took the heating pad. Astro pulled the sheets back away from the distressed flower’s head and saw his tearful face. Oh how much he just wanted to hold him and kiss his pain away and assure him that everything would be alright…He nuzzled his boyfriend’s forehead and stroked their petals with great gentleness and softness as he planted a kiss on it.
The flower trilled at the affection they had received and felt a little bit better than before but still felt miserable. He whimpered pitifully as he snuggled into Astro’s chest and the moon patted their back comfortingly while tracing constellations with a soft touch.
Astro: “There there, my rainbow…I’m not going anywhere…”
He held his weak, shaky and pain-ridden boyfriend in his arms and embraced him. They both cuddled together for a moment before Astro spoke up.
Astro: “Are you still getting cramps?”
Dandy: “Yeah…they feel a little better thanks to the heating pad though…”
Astro: “Glad to hear it…”
Pebble felt a little left out of the cuddle so snuggled into Astro’s blanket and near to his master. Dandy scratched behind his chin with one hand and nuzzled his forehead into Astro’s shoulder.
Astro smiled. He was glad to make the toon he most loved feel better even if only for a little bit.
