-yawns- “What could be the text of the day from this girl..?” Nicole first says, waking up in her bed with waves of notifications pop up on her screen in the morning.
“Looks like a lot to go through in one go. This girl..”
[Nicole] - Hey, honey.
[Ari] - Hii!!
“Wow, that's fast. Who knew she would be up around this time?”
Meanwhile on Ari on the other side of Virginia, she’s still sleepy because of her being tired after being on a call with Nicole all night that had her sleeping the rest of day till they move in with each other around time.
[Ari] - I’m still sleepy..
[Nicole] - Then don’t wait on me and go to sleep. We’ll talk later.
[Ari] - Are you sure?
[Nicole] - Just fucking do it, just to not make me mad this morning.
[Ari] - Ok..
Before the brunette would continue her day, she adds another message to her that would be the last message for a while that would cause some issues with something outside of their conversation to skyrocket.
[Nicole] - I love you.
“Now that Ari is now sleeping, it’s time to get to work in two hours.. Fucking hate my life..”
“Hey Nicole, what’s up with you?”
Oh, nothing Jecka. Just the same ol’ shit that I always do throughout the entirety of my life.”
“Yeah. Want a perc?”
“Why the fuck not? I could use a perc for this work I have to do.”
“Well, luckily we are both in the same department, so I can help you if you want.”
“Yeah, thanks. If it gets us out of this predicament with our boss, then sure.”
“Well, we better go before he tries to get our asses.” Jecka said.
“That’s what you call a pervert of any kind of company..” Nicole says, walking with Jecka to the building.
Whilst in the department of their job that they have, it's at most of it's own kind of way based on how they do in a work environment that doesn't feel like a trap of anything from anyone attempting to catch (get) one of them for a date or anything else.
“I wonder how Ari is right now..” Nicole says in her work uniform, checking her phone without causing any trouble.
[Nicole] - Hey honeyy

[Nicole] - You there?
…
[Nicole] - Bitch, Are you there?
Nicole was wondering why her girlfriend isn't responding for some reason on her side of the canvas of messages that the two have, till she found what happened on one of her apps.
“The internet is down for everything around D.C.?!”
“You have the same problems as everyone in here?!” Jecka told Nicole about the same problem.
“Yeah, I was trying to message Ari right now until it said that the connection for everything was down.”
“That’s why all these computers and shit are not working right now!”
“I hope Ari doesn't have the same issue like ours..”
“I'm sure she won't. Now let's try to get this fixed before our boss tries to get up our asses!”
“Sure thing. Let's go, people! No time to be lazy right now!” Nicole shouts to the workers.
Meanwhile on Ari’s side of the story, she is at her job while she's having a different problem with the issue Nicole has, but is not responding to her messages at all throughout the day after they've woken up.
[Ari] - Heyyyy! Why are you ignoring me?!
"What's wrong with her? Why is she not responding to my messages?”
“Did something happen on her side to not have her talking?”
“Is she talking to someone else?!”
“No, nonononnnono… it can't be.. it can't be that..”
[Ari] - Come on Nicole, pick up the damn phone!
…
[Ari] - Nicole!!
…
[Ari] - OK, since you're not gonna respond, I'm coming up there to see what's holding you up from messaging me!
“How's the electricity going now?”
“Well, it seems like it's going to take a few days or maybe an hour if we're lucky to fix the powerline outside that was struck down by a car crashing to it.”
“Well, shit.. Guess we can't call to go home now, which means we're going to be here for a while.” Jecka says, turning around in the spinning chair.
“Yeah.. If I knew how Ari would be, she would think that it's not a big deal as it's either going to be an hour or so till it's up without any power.” Nicole says.
“Yeah. I guess so then. Same to mine as well.”
“Wait what–”
“Don't ask.”
“Alright.”
