Chapter 1: One Less Arm

Chapter Text

Bobby was holding on to Kat for dear life.

And Clark was there, I guess.

“Don’t let me go! Don’t let me go-” Bobby screamed as the rope pulled him down the ramp.

He screamed and screamed and screamed until he couldn’t scream any more.

Bobby was weak, and tired, and the whole reason he’s here is because of Clark-

That piece of shit that pulled him down here was a thing resembling Clark.

Bobby tried to scream, but the thing was already on him.

“Let go of me! Get off me!-”

The thing ripped his fucking arm off.

—

Kat just saw her boyfriend get pulled down by something she doesn’t think is nice.

And the dipshit that brought them here, Clark, was right next to her. God, she wanted to strangle him badly.

But all she could focus on is the fading image of Bobby.

Kat was sobbing. She must look like a mess. “Bobby!”

Before she could say anything else, the bed gets pulled and knocks them down.

“No!-”

Kat thumps onto the floor. She looks up, and..

An 8 foot tall thing is standing over her boyfriend. And his arm is gone.

—

Bobby was on the verge of passing out, when out of the corner of his eye, he sees Kat.

She grabs a coat rack, and..

She swings at the copy of Clark.

The coat rack hits its head, splattering blood on Bobby.

The thing falls over, while Kat picks up a half conscious Bobby.

His head is swimming. What the fuck just happened!?

Kat runs away, still carrying Bobby. She hears Clark yell her name, but she doesn’t turn around. That dipshit can figure out what to do, she just needs to focus on her Bobby.

Bobby can’t stay awake, he can’t.. His arm is gone, his camcorder is gone, and his chance at living a normal life might be gone.

He passes out.

—

Kat runs down the hallway, and another hallway, and another.

Her arm hurts from carrying Bobby, but she can’t stop running. She needs to get to a spot where she can tend to his arm. Now.

Maybe she should’ve stopped for Clark. If anyone, he’s the person who knows a lot about this place. He seemed to have gone around this place a lot of times before he recruited them.

Why didn’t he fucking go down the slope instead!? Maybe he would be the one with his arm chopped off.

No, Kat thought. Focus on getting away from that thing. Bobby needs to be bandaged. Now.

Her head was swimming, and she felt like she was going to throw up.

She turned a corner, and..

Cap’n Clark’s Ottoman Empire.

Except it was in here.

Kat ran through the doors, and locked them. Good thing they could still lock.

She knew there were bandages somewhere in the store. Clark told her that there were bandages in the break room if she ever needed one. Hopefully they were still here.

She rushed toward the back of the place, and where the break room usually was. Kat opened the door, and lo and behold, there it was.

Kat rushed toward the cabinets.

First one, nope.

Second one, nope.

Third one..

Bandages.

She rushed toward Bobby, who she laid out on the couch, and started bandaging him.

Kat didn’t know how to do medical stuff, but something needed to be done, right?

Once she was done wrapping the bandages around Bobby, she was exhausted.

She wanted to stay awake, to see if anything got in, but she was too tired.

Kat sat down on the other couch, and almost immediately, started sleeping.
