Miranda walks into the office and throws her coat and purse onto Andy's desk but then she also sets down a small notebook. It's pocket size and leather bound with a piece of cerulean ribbon wrapped around it. Andy stares at it for a moment, admiring the beauty of the piece.
She wonders who it's for. She'd never seen Miranda write in a notebook like this before. Maybe it was for one of the twins. Andy pushes the thoughts away and places the notebook in the top drawer of her desk. When she goes to drop off The Book and Miranda's dry cleaning she makes sure to place the notebook neatly on top of The Book before leaving and going home to her apartment.
Miranda walks down stairs after she hears Andy leave but stops when she sees the notebook on top of The Book. Questions fill her mind as she grabs both The Book and the notebook. Did Andy not like it? It was clearly a gift for her. Miranda pushes the thoughts away and makes her way back to her bedroom.

Andy comes back from grabbing lunch with Nigel to find a book on her desk. It has the same cerulean ribbon wrapped around it. When she gets closer a soft gasp leaves her lips. It's a special edition Pride and Prejudice, her favorite book.
Nigel stops beside Andy, his eyes also landing on the book, "What's this?"
"I don't know. I'm guessing it's Miranda's. She probably wants me to deliver it with the book tonight like that notebook last week."
"Notebook?"
"Yeah it was a pretty leather, it looked hand-made with the same cerulean ribbon around it. It must have been a gift for her or one of the twins."
Nigel doesn't say anything while her looks over into Miranda's office, finding the older woman looking over at them. When she catches Nigel staring she quickly turns away and goes back to work.
"Interesting," Nigel mumbles under her breath before turning back to Andy. "Well I should get back to work."
"Yeah, well see ya Nigel."
Nigel casts one last look over at Miranda before making his way back to his own office.
Later that night Miranda finds the Pride and Prejudice copy on top of The Book. She sighs taking both books into her study. She doesn't know what she's doing wrong, how could Andy not realize the gifts were for her. Miranda pours herself a drink and slides the book into her desk draw with the notebook she had tried to give Andy a couple weeks ago.

The Runway offices were buzzing with a anxious energy. It's the final run through for the October issue before they submit the final draft and leave for Paris fashion week. Miranda stands in her office looking at the different pieces that Valentino, Prada, and Givenchy had sent over. She pulls a simple black dress out handing it to Jocelyn. Then she grabs a jacket to pair with it.
When she turns back to face Jocelyn she spots Andy out of the corner of her eye admiring a necklace that Bvlgari had sent over. It's a simple gold choker with diamonds. Miranda has to hold back a smile when she imagines it around the young woman's neck. After the run through is over Miranda calls Bvlgari personally and orders one of the necklaces for Andy.
At the end of the day Miranda places the black velvet box with the signature cerulean ribbon around it on Andy's desk while she is not there before leaving for the day. Nigel just so happens to walk out of his office as Miranda sets the gift down on Andy's desk. He debates on whether or not to confront Miranda about it but ultimately decides not to, not yet.
When Andy makes it back to her desk she's surprised to find the velvet box on top of it. She peeks into Miranda's office and notices she's left. Andy shrugs it off thinking someone must have delivered it after Miranda had left and that it was meant for her. So Andy takes it with her to deliver The Book and leaves it on the table before she goes home for the night.

Andy sits just behind Miranda and Nigel as the runway show starts. She takes notes on each look for Miranda making sure not to miss a single detail. When one of the models walks by Andy's eyes immediately go to the beautiful black leather boots they have on.
She leans forward slightly and taps Nigel on the shoulder before whispering, "Those boots are gorgeous.
Nigel nods, not missing how Miranda's eyes narrow slightly when she over hears Andy's comment. He can see the gear turning in Miranda's head, trying to figure out how to get her hands on those boots.
Later that night Andy finds a large box in her hotel room. On the top in a bold cursive font is the name Oscar de la Renta. She notices the ribbon tied around it and immediately recognizes it from the other gifts that she assumed were for Miranda. So she walks down the hall and places it in Miranda's suite while the older woman is out at a dinner with different designers.

Nigel stands off to the side, his eyes stay glued to Miranda as she looks over the collection Valentino has put together this year. She talks to the designer for a little while before he is pulled away by one of the runway show directors. Miranda keeps looking over the collection, her eyes falling onto a beautiful black leather hand bag.
Nigel notices and walks over to her, "Thinking about getting that for a certain assistant?"
Miranda quickly looks over at him and Nigel has to suppress a chuckle at Miranda's wide eyes.
"How did you…"
"You aren't exactly subtle, Miranda. Plus I see how you look at her."
"Apparently she doesn't. Everything I get her ends up back to me. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, Nigel."
"You know you could just tell her that you like her."
Miranda rolls her eyes before turning away, "And what if she says no and thinks I'm insane? She already sends back every gift I send her."
"Then at least you'll have your answer. Plus I don't think Andy realizes those gifts are for her."
Miranda turns back to face Nigel her brows now furrowed, "Who does she think they are for?"
"You."
"What why…" Miranda trails off trying to find out where she went wrong.
"Because sometimes our dear Andy isn't the brightest bulb in the box."
Miranda rolls her eyes and looks back at the handbag. Later that night while Miranda sits in the living area of the suite, going over the itinerary for tomorrow when Andy walks in. Andy's eyes widen when she spots Miranda lounging in the dim light.
"Sorry, Miranda. I thought you had a dinner tonight."
"It got cancelled. They had a family emergency and they had to leave. What are you doing in here?"
She holds out a black box with a ribbon around it, the name Valentino printed on the side. Miranda recognizes it immediately, she placed it in Andy's room herself while the young woman was out in the city for dinner.
"The concierge keeps putting stuff for you in my room."
"I'll have to talk to them about that," Miranda responds before turning back to the paper in her hand
Andy nods and sets the box down on the coffee table in front of Miranda. As she leaves she mutters a quick goodnight, not catching the way Miranda smirks when she realizes Nigel was right.

A few weeks later Andy is sitting at her desk when Miranda walks in with a bouquet of purple hydrangeas, red carnations, and pink lilies. She places them on the desk, half expecting Andy to say something about then but she just grabs the bouquet and walks to the kitchen to put them in a vase.
At the end of the day Andy takes both The Book and the bouquet to the townhouse. She sets both down and turns to leave but stops when she sees Miranda leaning against the wall between the den and foyer. Andy notices a glass scotch in her left hand and a slight blush on the older woman's cheeks.
"Those are for you, Andrea."
"W..What?"
"Those flowers are for you, dear Andrea. Along with all the other gifts I have tried giving you."
"Wait, what? T..Those were for me?"
Miranda nods and takes a sip of her scotch before stepping towards Andy.
"Who else would they be for?"
"I..I don't know. I mean why would you ever want to give me gifts," Andy mutters looking down at her feet.
Miranda leans forward lifting Andy's chin with her index finger and thumb so that the younger woman is looking at her eye to eye.
"Maybe it's because I like you Andrea and I wanted to show you that."
"You do? Why didn't you just say something?"
Miranda shrugs her eyes flicking down Andy's lips before looking back at her eyes, "Sending gifts was easier than saying it out load. I guess I was afraid of your answer."
"Well if you would have told me sooner you would have had your answer."
"Which is?" Miranda asks hesitantly, her heart pounding against her ribs.
Andy looks at the woman in front of her, a faint blush painting her cheeks as she speaks softly, "I like you too and I would really like to kiss you. If that's okay."
A true smile breaks upon Miranda's face as she hears Andy's response. She leans in, placing a gentle kiss onto the younger woman's lips. For a second Miranda believes she knows what heaven feels like. Both women melt into the kiss until Andy pulls away first, her lungs burning from the lack of oxygen.
Miranda rests her forehead against Andy's with her eyes closed, "That was better than I could have ever imagined."
Andy chuckles leaning into Miranda's embrace, "Now what?"
Miranda opens her eyes and slides her arms around Andy's waist, pulling her closer, "Now I'm going to kiss you again and then I'm going to take you to dinner."
"I think I can work with that," Andy whispers already leaning in for another kiss, her arms wrapping around Miranda's neck as they melt into each other once again.
