Chapter Text
The wizarding world had always believed that the oldest families were the ones who held the most power.
The Blacks had their name. The Malfoys had their wealth. The Lestranges had their reputation.
But there was one family that even the oldest pure-blood houses spoke of carefully.
The House of Yu.
Hidden beyond enchanted forests and protected by spells older than many wizarding nations, the Yu estate stood beneath a sky where the moon always seemed brighter than anywhere else. Its silver light touched the black rooftops, the ancient gardens, and the towering halls where generations of Yu ancestors watched silently from painted portraits.
The Yu family was not famous because they wanted attention.
They were famous because they never needed it.
Inside the grand halls of the estate, ten children carried the weight of a name that had survived centuries.
And tonight, the youngest of them stood before the enormous windows overlooking the gardens.
Yu Mushen was quiet.
Most people who met him for the first time noticed only two things: his intelligence and the coldness in his eyes. He was young, but there was something unsettling about him—something that made even adults choose their words carefully.
“The moon is brighter tonight,” said his twin brother beside him.
Yu Lanyan rested against the window frame, a book in his hand as usual. Unlike Mushen, Lanyan’s expression was calm and thoughtful. He was the kind of person who listened more than he spoke, the kind who could create an entire plan while everyone else was still arguing.
Mushen glanced at him.
“You always notice unnecessary things.”
Lanyan smiled slightly.
“And you always pretend you don’t.”
Before Mushen could answer, the sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway.
Their older siblings entered the room.
Yu Qiuyue and Yu Shengyue arrived first.
The twins were impossible to mistake. Both carried the elegance and confidence expected of the eldest daughters of House Yu. Qiuyue’s expression was unreadable, her eyes sharp enough to make people feel as if their secrets had already been discovered.
Shengyue was softer in appearance, almost gentle.
Almost.
Behind them came Yu Lian Hua, Yu Ruolan, and Yu Yumei—the triplets who could not have been more different.
Lian Hua carried herself like a warrior, confident and fearless.
Ruolan was quieter, always observing.
Yumei smiled warmly, though everyone in the family knew she noticed far more than she ever revealed.
Following them were Yu Zihao and Yu Bauyu, the twin brothers known for their completely different approaches to life.
Zihao could convince almost anyone of anything. His words were smooth, his smile charming, but those closest to him knew his loyalty was genuine.
Bauyu was different. A healer with a dangerous understanding of magic, he believed that helping people did not always require softness.
Finally came Yu Tian.
Calm. Intelligent. Patient.
The kind of person who could make a room fall silent without saying a word.
Together, they were the ten children of Yu Zhao Ming.
The ten heirs of House Yu.
“You leave for Hogwarts tomorrow,” said their father.
Everyone turned.
Empress Yu Zhao Ming stood at the entrance, his expression carrying the exhaustion of someone who had experienced both great love and unbearable loss.
Behind him stood Yu Zhang Wei.
His second husband.
The relationship between Zhao Ming and Zhang Wei had always been complicated. Their marriage had begun with grief, obsession, and circumstances neither of them had chosen. Zhao Ming had once believed his heart belonged only to Yu Yue, the woman he lost.
But time had changed things.
Love had not replaced the past.
It had grown beside it.
Zhang Wei looked toward the children with a rare softness.
“Hogwarts will not know what to expect from you,” he said.
Qiuyue raised an eyebrow.
“They shouldn’t.”
A small smile appeared on Zhang Wei’s face.
“That attitude is exactly what worries me.”
For a moment, the room was silent.
Then Yumei laughed quietly.
Even Mushen looked away to hide the smallest hint of amusement.
Tomorrow, they would leave for Britain.
Tomorrow, they would enter Hogwarts.
And tomorrow, the wizarding world would meet the Yu family.
They would meet the daughter who could outthink anyone.
The daughter who could hide a storm behind a smile.
The warrior.
The protector.
The healer.
The strategist.
The twins born from a complicated legacy.
And the youngest son everyone would underestimate.
They would hear rumors.
They would whisper that the Yu siblings were dangerous.
That they were too powerful.
Too mysterious.
Too different.
But they would learn one thing soon enough.
The Yu family was not dangerous because they lacked hearts.
They were dangerous because they had something worth protecting.
And the world was about to discover exactly what that meant.
