Chapter Text
To most of my family and friends, I’m seen as perfect.
And by “perfect,” I mean boring.
Amazing grades, studies often, rarely parties, wears collared shirts, favorite music is classical, et cetera, et cetera.
But, I’ve been keeping something under wraps.
My favorite band.
The Stitched Bullets.
They’re a group of boys from our rival college, The King’s U.
And of course, they make the best music I’ve had the blessing of hearing.
And there are three very important reasons I need this to stay a secret.
First, they should be our rivals. We should absolutely despise each other, but I’ve gone to most of their concerts, have most of their merch, and like every post they make on every social media app they’re on, so clearly I don’t see them as rivals.
Second, it would shatter my golden boy image. And I need it so I can be perceived as normal and be seen as better than my twin, Landon. And so I can attempt to make it up to my past self–so I can at least try to be normal. But, I’m clearly already failing at that because of–
Third, I have a crush on the main singer, Nikolai Sokolov.
And the third’s definitely the most damning.
But, I can’t help it.
I have all his posts practically memorized at this point from how much I look at them.
And he followed me.
Honestly, I can die happy now.
I think he did it just to spite Landon because they have a burning hatred of each other. And I would never use my personal account to fangirl over them, but still.
He followed me.
