It was quiet at the Theria's house with the only audible sound being the sound of rain cascading down onto the roof, which was surprising to Flux since the Theria's were the loudest family that he knew. Though it's not like Flux was exactly complaining since exams were coming up and he was studying with Saps at his house, so he much preferred a quiet atmosphere anyways.
And as Flux had started to wrap up some of his work as it was past 11pm and had set down his pen glanced over to his side where a certain white boy had sat next to him, the second he glance over Flux's dark amethyst eyes had immediately met Sap's bright gold eyes had he been staring the entire time? Flux had also noticed that his eyes were more droopy then normal and paired with the abnormal amout of quiet it was kinda obvious he was tired which made sense as they've been studying for hours
"... if you're tired I can leave and you can go to bed if you want..." Flux suggested, finally breaking the silence
"hmmm.." Saps groaned in annoyance clearly wasn't satisfied with that suggestion but then he paused for a second before smirking... That wasn't a good sign...
"You know what... Maybe I will sleep.." but before Flux can react Saps gets up and drags his own chair untill it's right next to Flux, then practically throws himself onto Flux and latches onto him like some kind of leech before burying his face in Flux's shoulder
Flux sighs in annoyance but doesn't actually make an effort to move him nor does he have any plan to.
Flux runs his hand through Saps hair and wow. Flux has never noticed how beautiful the avian actually was with his perfectly symmetrical moles under each eye, his gorgeous white hair that wasn't too long but also wasnt too short that sat at the perfect length just below his ears, and with his large, soft, wings that Flux had often watched Saps take care of and trim himself.
Wait
Was flux.. Falling in love with his best friend? Well...saying "bestfriend" was definitely a slight stretch...Flux will admit that his relationship with Saps was definitely way more close then any other friends he had but it was just because they were comfortable around each other and knew him longer then most of his friends but it was nothing but platonic... But... Flux didn't know if his feelings for Saps were just platonic anymore...
Flux blushed at the thought but he decided to ignore the thought and deal with it later... Or at least he tried...
Even though Flux was done studying he needed something to do to distract himself from thinking of Saps to pass the time so he picked his pencil back up and opened his laptop besides it's not like you could study too much...

Flux was snapped out of his thoughts when he felt Saps start to re-adjust himself and slowly wake up against his shoulder
When Saps had finally woken up 2 hours have passed making it slightly past 1am and as he shifted himself up still leaning against Flux's shoulder, he focuses his attention to what Flux was doing...
Was he still studying?? The fact that Flux was STILL studying despite him being done two hours ago made Saps giggle slightly
Saps giggling caught Flux's attention so he turned back to face the avian
"What are you laughing at?" Flux asked, rather skeptical and confused with the avian against his shoulder
"Nothing... Just the fact that you're studying... for 6 hours straight despite you not needing too..."
"Well at least I'm well prepared. Why don't you tell me how much studying you got done?" Flux replied rather defensively
"Hmm.. Whatever you say, nerd." Saps was basically just teasing Flux at the point
"Excuse me?"
After a couple more minutes of them bickering back and forth, teasing each other, and without either really meaning any of the insults thrown at each other the conversation dies down into silence again.
Flux finally sets his pencil down and opens his phone and is shocked to see it's already 1:30am. Oh shit his dad was going to be mad.
"Saps I need to get going now my dad is probably going to be pissed." Flux had started to get up from his chair before Saps grabbed his wrist
"Your dad? Can't you just tell him you were studying overnight with conspiracy at Snowbird's house? I mean it's already dark out so you might as well stay... "
Flux let out a sigh. I mean saps had a point... It was already dark out and he could probably get Cynikka to cover for him.
"Sure, Saps" Flux deicided to give in to Saps' begging which left Saps absolutely ecstatic and Flux watched Saps' eyes light up like a little kid. God, was he cute.
Both Flux and Saps got up and walked towards Saps' bed. They both climbed into bed and lied down right next to each other then Flux felt Saps' wings enclose around him. Neither deicided to mention how intimate this was.
That night Flux couldn't sleep very well. His mind kept replaying the moments from earlier of Saps smiling at him, Saps sleeping peacefully on his shoulder, Saps teasing him and it definitely didn't help that Flux was literally cuddling with Saps
Though at one point in the night though Flux tried to stop thinking about that and was eventually lulled to sleep by the comfort of Saps' soft wings

The morning rolls around and Flux wakes up in Saps' arms, still encapsuled by the avian's wings, and whatever space was between them when they fell asleep had completely disappeared. Flux woke up with his head buried in Saps' chest and Saps holding Flux by the waist.
When Flux realizes what position they were in he immediately jumps up with his face flushed and heart beating.
"Saps I need to get up now." Flux tries to pull away but the avian doesn't budge
"Five more minutes....?" Saps grumbles still obviously half asleep
"Ugh fine but you have school too remember. You already have enough absences as it is." Flux sighs god he is so childish sometimes.. It's cute
As Flux starts to look back he realizes that non of this is actually new... The cuddling, sleeping next to each other, sleeping on each other, or even them staying up late at each others houses whether its studying or just hanging out... But for some reason he had only just now realized it when before it was something he never even thought about.
But what makes it different now? God was Flux actually inlove with his best friend?
A notification sound that came from Flux's phone had dragged him out of his thoughts. Flux had reached over to the windowcell where his phone was while also trying not to disturb Saps too much.
Flux checked his phone and it was Cynikka... Right Flux had stayed at Saps house again without telling anyone...
Cyn
"I noticed you didn't make it home again, I don't really Care but dad was pissed. I just told him you were studying with the conspiracy, though I'm not sure if he believed me. You owe me for this btw"
"Sorry, I was at Saps' house again,I lost track
Of time. Thanks for covering for me, Cyn."
Flux then shut off his phone and put it back on the windowcell where he got it from
"Saps it's been more then 5 minutes we're getting up now." Saps' grip on Flux loosened as Flux sat up and rolled off the edge of the bed
"Mm... Fine..." Saps get up and quickly follows Flux off the bed but takes his own path over to his dresser
"I know you dont like wearing the same clothes for more then a day... soooo.. do you want to borrow mine?" Saps asked but he didn't wait for the answer, he got clothes out for Flux anyways.
Flux flushed at the thought of wearing Saps' clothes especially in public but Flux also knew that Saps wouldn't take no for an answer... God he's going to get teased for this
Flux sighs "You aren't going to take no for an answer will you?"
"Nope!"
"... Fine... I appreciate it, Saps..." he mumbled the last part but Saps heard him anyways.
Flux grabs the clothes from the top of Saps' dresser and walks to the bathroom to change.
After both Flux and Saps changed they walked out together, heading for the bus stop. The bus stop wasn't THAT far of a walk from the Theria's house, just long enough for it to be boring if it was only one person. Luckily for them though, they have the company of eachother.
During the walk they kept getting closer. It started with slightly bumping against eachothers shoulders... then occasionally brushing against the others hands... Then... Wait... How long have they been holding hands for...?
Well... If saps hasn't said anything about it then... It's not like I should let go... Flux thought
So he didn't.
They both walked peacefully still talking about just random things that crossed their minds and they walked with their fingers interlocked and it made Flux think. Wow we probably look like a couple right now... but it also made him think... Would I care if people thought we were dating?... Would I care if we actually were dating...? Of course though it was just a silly thought...
When they made it to the bus stop it was almost perfect with the bus arriving slightly longer then a minute after they did, but as they arrived they both hesitantly loosened their fingers and they moved their hands apart but still close as they both got in the bus.

When the bus makes it to the bus stop that's right next to their university Saps gets off first with Flux following closely behind.
Campus is full of people whether they're going to class, talking to friends, or simply hanging out until their class starts- as there usually is.
In the crowd of people Flux spots the conspiracy so Flux and Saps part ways.
"Bye Flux see you later!" Saps runs off and heads to class
"Bye Saps." Flux waves and he smiles, like a genuine smile, he never does that.
Flux walked over to the conspiracy and they were at staring at him while grinning except for snowbird for some reason... Oh right.. The clothes. Gosh this was going to be a long day
"soo.." Thomas started
"Are you and Saps dating now" Thomas got up close to Flux with a wide grin plastered on his face
"What? No. I've told you guys before.. We are just.. Best friends.." he's had to tell them this before as it's basically a daily interaction with the conspiracy but this time Flux had started to slightly blush... And unfortunately for Flux Thomas seemed to notice
"Oh come on. You go to his house everyday every week for studying and 5/7 times in the week you end up staying the night, you guys constantly hold hands, I've seen saps lay on your shoulder before during events, you're wearing his clothes right now, and you BLUSHED when I mentioned him? I mean come on you never blush. You can't tell me you guys are "just best friends" now can you?" Thomas as long as the rest of the conspiracy were obviously so tired of Saps and Flux constantly pining over eachother.
Snowbird sighed
"As much as I don't want to encourage you getting together with my literal brother, Thomas has a point man. I mean you're at my house more then I'm at my own house at this point and every single time you're with him. Next time you get into a situationship can you make sure it's not with my brother? Thanks... And same goes to you, Thomas."
Thomas looked personally offended at that last part
"Hey me!? What do I have to do with this??"
"Don't act like we all don't see you and micro during the conspiracy movie nights??"
They continued to argue there for another 10 minutes before classes started and Flux got dragged into his own thoughts... Thomas has a point.. Flux thought...
Flux couldn't ready ignore it anymore it's painstakingly obvious that he likes- no that he loves Saps.
But part of him his scared- which is funny to say because Fluxion De Aculon isn't supposed to be scared of anything. But if Flux were to confess to Saps what if he said no? What if he was rejected? He's scared of things not being able to go back to how they were. Though if he were to tell it to any of the conspiracy they'd call him crazy because to them there is no world where Saps would reject him.
So Flux decides to keep it to himselves and shove that thought to the back of his brain as he walks to class
Class was just like it always was with the boring lectures, taking notes on something that probably wont even matter, and watching his professor do demonstrations but one thing was different... Saps. Not only has he taken over Flux's mind but his paper too... God he has fallen head over heels in love with this man.

And as the days progressed these thoughts didn't pass. Instead, they grew. Saps was consuming Flux's life at this point yet he didn't even know if felt the same?
Flux was walking to a cafe, it was quite popular in the area as it had good food and was a nice spot to study- which was why he was going. He's been to the same cafe a couple times with Saps, it's quite a nice hangout spot but the only downside is that it gets busy and loud often I mean it is the weekend right now so it's most likely gonna be busy but it's not like he has anywhere else to go...
Speaking of it being the weekend... it's really only been around 3 days since he developed this "little" crush on Saps. Yet it feels like something he's felt forever... maybe he has yet just notified it recently...
Flux got so engrossed into his thoughts that he wasn't really watching where he was going... Annnnddd bumped right into someone...
"uhh sorry.. I wasn't really looking-" When Flux saw the person he ran into his eyes widened slightly...It was Saps. God speak of the devil and the devil will come I guess...
"Oh Flux!! Funny seeing you here! Are you going to the cafe to?" Saps was quite happy this morning as he usually is...
"Oh yeah.. Do you want to join me..?" it'd be rude not to ask since they pretty much go there together all the time and definitely NOT because he wants to spend time with Saps
"Sure! I'd love to." Saps smiles which makes Flux blush a little bit
They walk together for a little bit until they make it to the cafe. It was busy but not TOO busy which was kinda surprising for this time of day but he wasn't complaining...
They both took a seat at a booth near the corner of the cafe and settled on opposite sides of each other.
Flux took off his backpack and swung it to the inner side of him and pulled his laptop out. Flux opened his laptop and put his notebook besides him as he pulled up the website he needed.
"So... Why did you come here? I mean no offense, Saps but you aren't exactly someone eager to study and it's not like you're very much a morning person..."
"Ouch! That's harsh..." Saps wore a teasing smile as he looked at Flux before continuing
"Well I woke up early... And I couldn't go back to sleep sooo I just deicided to come here for something to do... It's kinda silly saying it out loud" Saps let out a slight giggle
It was practically music to Flux's ears.
Though Flux quickly snapped out of his thoughts
"Hmm yeah that makes sense... "
And for a little bit it was quiet, not silent, not uncomfortable, just.. Quiet. Saps would occasionally start a small conversation, usually just a passing thought.
"Flux do you want anything? I'm gonna go up to order" Saps started getting up but waited at the end of the booth for Flux's answer
"uh sure I'll get something... Do you want me to pay? I brought money"
"No need! It's on me" Saps smiled widely
"... Your usual right...?" but before Flux could even answer Saps was already walking away as if he was asking himself rather than Flux.
...
About 20 minutes later Saps comes back with both of their orders and slides Flux his from the other side of the table.
Flux usually gets an iced coffee with creamer... That's all. Definitely not the most complicated order yet it still makes Flux light up when Saps remembers his order.
"... Thank you, Saps..." Flux mumbled it but it was just loud enough for him to hear
Saps just smiled in response and Flux felt his cheeks warm up slightly. God he has got to stop doing that...
and after that it just got silent again as Flux was finishing up notes and Saps? He was just there probably scrolling on X.
But they wouldn't be silent for long...
"Hey Flux do you have plans after this..??"
"hmm.. no. Why do you ask..??" Flux slightly tilted his head in confusion
"Do you want to go to my house again?"
Shit. I mean he really should refuse here I mean it's the logical option...
"I mean it's not like I have anything to do.. So sure... I'll go to your house Saps" Flux smiled God why did I say that
But flux noticed something... Was Saps.. Blushing?? No.. Surely he was just imagining it...
Flux ignored it and worked on finishing his notes as he occasionally took sips ofhis coffee.
...
Around ten minutes later Flux finished and started putting his stuff away. Flux grabbed his backpack handle as he slid out of the booth and threw the backpack on his back.
"Saps.. Are you ready to go?"
"Oh! Yeah!" Saps shoved his phone into his pocket and practically jumped out of his seat following behind Flux.

Saps and Flux made it to the Theria house, when Saps opened the door it was surprisingly quiet. I mean it made sense it was a Saturday afternoon so everyone was away.
Flux just quietly followed Saps up the stairs to his room.
When Saps got up he let out a sigh and flopped on the bed
Flux quickly followed and took a seat right next to him before laying down and pulling out his phone
...
Flux could've sworn he wasn't this close to Saps when he had first laid down...
Throughout the span of a couple hours they were quiet apart from a few giggles and small conversations. But it felt... Weird... I mean Saps was never this quiet he could always keep a conversation going and start new ones easily but now it felt different.
What were the chances of Saps liking him back..?
Maybe they were just best friends and he was overthinking it.
Flux's breath hitched slightly and heart rate increased just by thinking of it which he's almost positive Saps realized... fuck I feel like I HAVE to say something now...
Flux started to sit up on the edge of the bed
"... Saps, can I... Ask you something..?"
Saps slowly sat up and inched towards Flux but not too close
"of course..! you can ask my anything" despite the happiness in his tone Flux could tell he was slightly off..
"... What... Are we...?"
Saps immediately froze up by the question
"... what are you talking about..?"
"Don't act dumb with me, Saps."
...
"Flux I-"
Saps started but was cut off
"Saps you idiot I like you."
Shit shit shit why did he say that God I should just leave
But before Flux could fully get up to hide in embarrassment Saps had grabbed onto his wrist sternly.
"Flux I- ... I like you too"
Saps loosened his grip on Flux's wrist while Flux just froze
"What..?"
"So I guess I overreacted for nothing, huh?" Flux turned around to face Saps and smiled
Saps just smiled as he let out slight laugh to Flux's response
"I guess you did"
Saps took a step closer to Flux and kissed him on the cheek
Flux just stood there for a second lightly touching the spot where Saps kissed untill Flux looked at him and grinned, he walked even closer to Saps and returned the favor but instead of on the cheek Flux kissed him on the lips
The kiss was soft but short.
as Flux pulled away Saps stood there for a second before his own brain caught up and pulled back in.
The kiss was longer than the first with Saps' arms wrapping around Flux's waist and his wings enveloping completly around the both as Flux wraps his arms around Saps' neck then adjusting his hands to play with the roots of Saps' hair.
When they broke the kiss they didnt pull apart. They stayed there, in each others arms, savoring the warmth.
When they did finally pull apart it was already late. The front door could be heard opening from downstairs and the moon could be seen rising.
"Saps... Can I stay over tonight..?"
"Of course"
...
Only 20 minutes later both Saps and Flux flopped on the bed and entangled themselves together.
"Goodnight, Flux. I love you."
That made Flux smile
"Goodnight, Saps. I love you too"
It was rather early for Saps to sleep but the day was quite tiring for him and he could tell it was for Flux too.
Saps admired Flux with how his hair went slightly below his ears, with his bright, amethyst eyes, with how the purple in his hair complimented his eyes, with how he made Saps feel whenever he smiled or laughed around him, and with how-
Wait... was Flux wearing his hoodie?
Saps smiled knowing Flux kept his hoodie and he closed his eyes and fell asleep with his boyfriend resting in his arms.

BONUS SCENE!
Snowbird was in the kitchen with Jophiel, Micro, and for some reason... Thomas? Jophiel was cooking dinner for them while Micro and Thomas were talking (flirting) as they waited.
"Snow could you go upstairs and ask Saps if he'll be having dinner with us?"
"Sure, Joph."
Snowbird walked up the stairs and made his way to Saps' room before barging in (what happened to knocking?)
"Saps will you be eating dinne-" Snow paused as he saw his literal bestfriend and BROTHER cuddling in Saps' room?
"Never mind.." he mumbled as he closed the door and walked back downstairs.
"I'm never going up there again" Snow said as he mimicked a gagging sound
"Did something happen, Snow?"
Snow rolled his eyes
"Well apparently Flux is here."
"Wait Flux is here, where?" Thomas suddenly butts until the conversation at the mention of Flux
Snow just sighs
"Where do you think, genius?"
Thomas looks genuinely confused for a minute
"ohhh..."
"OH."
"HE'S WITH SAPS!?"
Though snow doesn't look as amused as Thomas does
"Unfortunately..."
