Yuna accepts the drink from the bartender before making her way over to table she can watch the tv. The hotel she was staying lacked sports channels forcing Yuna to the nearest sports bar. When she got closer, she realizes that the Montreal-Boston game was a WNHL game. It was a nice surprise. Yuna had been enjoying watching the league's inaugural season, although she hardly expected it to be the only hockey game playing.
"You like hockey, too?" someone asks.
Yuna turns to see a pretty redhead, maybe a decade younger than herself. "Ah, yes," she says, trying not let show how little like describes it.
The woman gives a grin. "Sweet," she says. "What team do you root for."
"Ottawa, although between Montreal or Boston, I'll have to pick the Étoiles."
She dramatically sucks air between her teeth. "I'm an Pack fan. Massachusetts born and raised." She grins mischievously. "Maybe I could get you another of whatever you're drinking and we could strike a truce tonight?"
"I'd like that," Yuna says. "But only after intermission starts."
"Got it," she says. "I'm Erin by the way."
"Yuna."
True to her word, Erin chase down the bartender for another round of drinks for them. Yuna accepts in gratefully before launching back into their conversation. By the time the game ends—a win for Boston, Yuna doesn't want the night to end.
"I have a hotel room a few blocks away," Yuna says. "We could keep talking?"
Erin smiles. "I'd love that."
