The settlement of Renewal has come a long way in thirty years. Now it's more that of a city as more dragons and especially Nightwings call it home. It has come a long way from the forgotten Queendom it once was under the leadership of the council. And it is growing rapidly as more families and merchants arrive.
If you were wondering, jade mountain academy has returned to normal or as normal as a school like that could get and has more and more students every year. The jade winglet has found their place in life, Turtle becoming a well-known writer for, Kinkajou an ambassador and peacekeeper for the Rainwings and Nightwings, Winter a lesser-known researcher and a bridge between the humans and dragons, Peril found her calling in glass blowing and metal working, and finally Qibli and Moon who have settled down together in the Sand Queendom closer to Renewal as Moon has become the teacher to a large and ever growing group of Mind readers and Future seers who have hatched over the last thirty years. But back to Renewal.
The crumbling castle has mostly been taken down and repurposed since the old stone wasn't reliable as it was and it freed up much more space for housing. Now the main tasks of the council have shifted to the restoration of the lost Nightwing culture.

Soft Humming filled the library as the Nightwing walked the old halls searching the dusty shelves for an interesting scroll. The sconces along the shelves gave off a warm light in between the towering bookcases. Exclaiming quietly as he found a scroll that seemed to call to him, the young Nightwing grabbed the scroll and began coughing as a large dust cloud came with it.
"Goodness *cough* *cough* we really need to clean this place more"
After waving the offending particles away with his free talon he tucked the scroll under his wing and made his way back to the large, long table at the front of the building which has been set up for the scribes to begin updating the weathered scrolls into the modern text onto the pages of the many blank books shipped over from Pantala.
Sitting down with the scroll. an open inkwell and a blank book the Nightwing began carefully unrolling the timed paper. Unfortunately the original title and author's name seem to have faded with time along with some small bits of the original text. But that's alright, WordSmith always did like creative liberties and improvisation.
'Looks like a long one, wonder what it is?'
With that thought WordSmith made himself comfortable, dipped his talon in the Ink and began reading.
