Sisters

Summary:

Womp womp kame angst i really like her

Chapter Text

There were two things Kame realized once she died.

1. no one cares as much as they pretend to

2. Takako didn't care as much as she pretends to.

You would think that your younger sister dying would be met with more than a reputation post.

However, Takako's incapable of that.

It's not like Kame could blame her, not really.

Plenty of people had even lesser reactions to the announcement of her passing.. but takako was supposed to be different.

Now Kame is just alone in her dorm.

Wallowing.

Kame. Wallowing. How unusual.

She could talk to someone, she still had plenty of sheep to use.

She could talk to Elo.. but she didn't want them to see her like this, they've only seen her at her best.

She'd like to keep it that way.

Maybe it's these reasons that she's still alone.

~°~°~°~

“Knock Knock!!” Takako's voice was cheerful as she entered Kame's dorm, she had a key.. somehow? So she didn't feel the need to wait for Kame to come open the door.

“Kamei~” Her bright smile falters slightly as her eyes land on Kame but she's quick to recover.

“Oh.. Kamei-”

“Takako leave.” The younger girls voice was sharper than usual and it takes Takako aback slightly.

Though not enough to leave apparently, instead Takako sits on the couch and pats Kame's side softly.

“Are you upset?”

“...Are you stupid?”

There's a tense quiet before Takako lets out a shaky sigh her bright smile not helping this tense situation.

“Big sister will fix this,” Takako pulls on Kame's arm lightly to help her sit up. “You should- you should come home already.”

To anyone else it would be a touching scene, with Kame resting against Takako's side, Takako comforting her younger sister but for Kame it just made her feel disgusted.

She feels like a child again.

“Big sister told you she wasn't sure about those friends you have.” There's barely any noise other than Takako's hesitant voice, barely any other movement other than the soft petting on Kame's hair.

Takako didn't want to ruin this.

“Your favourite one is so… aggressive.”

“Elo?” Sniffling quietly, Kame speaks up. She wasn't crying. Kame doesn't cry.

She doesn't.

“That one!” With a happy smile the older girl nods. “It just makes me so concerned, I really think you should just come home.” Takako grasps Kame's face softly. looking down into Kame's eyes even though Kame herself keeps her eyes averted.

“I'm-”

“Look, all those friends have made you cry.”

“No-” Kame barely gets another word out before she's cut off once more.

“You'd do so much better if you just came home Kamei.”

“Takako I'm not going back.” She pulls away from Takako's arms, stumbling off the couch subconsciously putting as much distance as she could between them.

“Kamei.”
