Chapter Text
In every way shape and form. She regrets it. But, in her defence, she didin’t think that this would happen.
Falinyr never would have thought that listening and answering the stars would lead her to end up here.
But she is here now. And more importantly. She is alone. Ever since that god took the two of them, they had never seen each other since.
Fallinyr doesn’t reconize where she is, so that must mean she’s in another world. Sure she knows how to act human - she was once one - but she doesn’t look human. Even without her wings she still looks different, her arms still look like lava flowing through obsidian - though the ‘lava’ is notably dimmer and greyer than the usual bright blues and reds- she still has her tattoos that cascade down her back, she doesn’t even know if tattoos are a thing here. And her magic isn’t the same anymore, the once easy to control flames that moved on her every whim are now extinguished, the only sign she still even had magic was that she could only send small, pitiful sparks when she dug deep down for her magic.
She slows down her panicked breathing. It's fine, she sighs laying down in the grass, hiding her face behind her hands. This is fine, I just need to find something to cover my arms and hands and hopefully I can actually understand the language, even vaguly. Oh who am I kidding, this isn’t fine.
Falinyr knew how to fight and protect herself at least, she had that much going on for her. Seeing as there were more creatures that attacked anyone they saw, knowing how to fight was the only thing that helped her in whatever is going on. Even with knowing how to fight she felt off balanced without her wings behind her, it’s as if she is a newborn hatchling.

-A few months later-
After what felt like a year had passed Falinyr felt better prepared for this world. A few nauseating experiences telling her what foragables were to not be eaten. And a few experiences where she was attacked by not just creatures but humans as well, all ending up with the same outcome, her sword bloodied and the ground covered by unconsious, bloody bodies. Even though they attacked first it still left her blood cold with guilt.
She has since changed her outfit a bit, she made white gloves that reach to her elbows, made her top more fit to her body and added sleeves that come down to her forearms. The rest of her outfit is still relatively the same and she made some boots that go halfway up her calves.
Now she's sitting by the ocean, fishing rod in hand, trying to catch a few fish before heading off to sleep.
Falinyr always found tranquility being by the ocean. Despite her ever present fear of getting into the water. Most creatures and people tend to stay away from the shoreline, especially when it’s covered with sharp rocks.
She found a nice rocky cave that has been her ‘home’ for the past few weeks.
She suddenly sees a white blob floating in water. It definitely doesn’t look like a fish native here. Falinyr goes to hook her line on whatever the thing in the water is. If it’s a fish it’ll just swim away, but if it’s trash or something like that, might as well get it out of the water so the marine life can thrive.
The hook grabs at the white thing and Falinyr pulls it out of the water.
What was in the water was something, a person? Creature? Human? Whatever they are, is humanoid and -thankfully- still breathing. They look feminine, roughly the height of an allakin(a very short creature that averages to 2.5ft tall that roamed in the forests back in Em’lish), pure white hair surrounds their face, and they also have white, puffy clothes. They are still unconscious, so Falinyr decides to just leave her in the cave and makes a small fire hoping to keep whoever from freezing to death.
The sun had long since set over the horizon line when the white thing started to wake up.
Their voice was like a singular cloud in the day time, a voice alone yet was also starkly different, almost alien.
Falinyr visibly grimiced. The worst part was the fact that she couldn’t understand a single word. She sighed and wordlessly gave the person one of her cooked fish with a small smile.
The person talked again with confusion in their voice. A question. Falinyr could only shake her head, no way of communicating was the most difficult part of being trapped in this world.
She hoped that the person would just leave when they realised that Falinyr couldn’t understand them. But at the same time secretly hoping that they would stick around.

To Falinyr’s everlasting shock, the small cloud person, Paimon, had stayed.
“Paimon thinks that you’ve gotten to understand the language of Teyvat language really well.” Paimon says while the two of them really it’s just Falinyr cook up food for the evening.
For the last few years Paimon decided to stick around, always talking about whatever their mind wandered to. Which really helped Falinyr understand the language better. The both of them had also made up a sign language so that she could better communicate, because the attempts she made at mimiking the language of teyvat were, well, horrendous.
Falinyr signs, “You talking forever helped me understand alot.”
“Hehe, thanks!” They say, before catching the, “Hey! Wait! Paimon doesn’t talk forever!”
“You do. But it’s helpful. And nice” Falinyr pauses, smirking before adding “Sometimes,”
“Oh, you—” before they could stir up a storm with their anger, Falinyr passes over the cooked fish, they looked at the fish then stated “All is now forgiven!” then goes on to gourg themselves on the fish.
