Chapter Text
Secret Agent never intended to stick around for long. He needed to get to the bottom of certain things like the disappearance of somebody, the supposed intentional infection of animals, and a few suspicions about Dr Harlow, a muntjac deer.
In fact, things were going smooth, they became liked among the staff with their help, not only that, protection against the anomalies/mimics. (Sorry, Security)
Until Dr. Harlow introduced someone new. They looked like a rabbit, but they looked off in every way possible, mostly because of their face. Two dots for eyes, that uncanny wide smile that never seemed to go away as if drawn on.
Ugh, it was gross to look at.. kind of.

Secret Agent was stuck on a shift with this thing. He was doing the check-ins because he can’t trust that Intern wouldn’t let any anomalies in with how ignorant they seem and hell, how they might even be one of them. But he also can’t trust he wouldn’t kill any patients? Ugh, he didnt have the time to think it through.
Ratthew just sat on the counter beside him. He only tolerated that rat.. His endless babbling made him want to rip his ears out until he mentioned his sister.
“She worked for the animal corporation.. Then one day, she just vanished.”
”No note, no goodbye, no nothing.”
“I’ve been looking for her ever since..”
This might have been one of the only good things this rat has done. Secret Agent watched as he hopped down from the counter, leaving a key. He quickly grabbed it and went into the room with the poster not quite attached to the wall fully. Ripping it off to reveal a vault.
A small smirk made its way to the cat’s face as he opened it up with said key to reveal a picture of Rattina and a note..
“The experiment was a success, the “shadow now sees everything..” It said.
A paw on his shoulder startled Secret Agent, yowling with his tail puffed up as he spun around.
“Goodness, Intern, you startled me.”
The rabbit’s head tilted, looking at what was in the vault.
”Nope, nothing in there, don’t you have patients to tend to?” They asked as they slowly pushed Intern out of the room.
Intern nodded their head, walking off into another room as if nothing had happened.
Secret Agent sighed, running a paw over their puffed up fur to smooth it down. Hopefully they wont rat him out to anyone.. as if they can even talk. Perhaps he might not have to worry them ratting him out soon but he can’t be too sure.
