"Waru, are you kidding?! How could you eat all the pizza that was left?" — shouted Spade
"I was hungry! And so you know, I only took one slice, someone else ate the rest!"
"Guys, let's think about the solution instead of the problem, if we don't have food we should go to the shop," — interrupted their arguments Felix
Waru turned to him with a wide smile on his face. Jack of Hearts could already tell there was nothing good behind that smile.
"Weeell... If you give me money, I can go to the shop without complaining"
"No! You would spend money on some shi..."
"Alright Spade! That's enough"
Felix tried to put his hand on his shoulder, but he pushed him away.
"I can go with Waru and control everything"
"I should go! I have a better taste than all of you" — said Romeo
The arguments continued for another couple of minutes. In the end, no one wanted to go, but no one trusted each other, and especially Waru. So Spade, Waru, Felix and Romeo all went to the shop.
The apartment suddenly felt quiet, unusually quiet.
"Finally..." — whispered Brolly to himself
He was sitting on the couch, drawing in his sketchbook. The Jack of clubs never wanted to get involved in arguments, so he enjoyed the calmness. Now, he wouldn't get distracted because of others' shouting.
"Are you drawing?"
Brolly flinched, hearing an unexpected voice. Didn't everyone else, except Diamonds who were somewhere in the middle of nowhere, go to the shop?
He turned around and saw Kuromaku sitting in the armchair with newspaper in his hands. He sighed with relief.
"Yes... I thought you went with the others"
"I didn't want to get involved. Plus, I can have time in quietness"
Brolly nodded at his explanation
"Smart"
"What are you drawing?" — Kuromaku asked
Brolly turned his sketchbook to him.
"It's upside down."
"Oh, I.." — Brolly murmured, feeling his cheeks turn red.
He turned the drawing correctly, and shyly smiled.
"I'm sorry..."
When Kuromaku saw the drawing, he looked impressed
"It's very nice. You've made good progress"
"Wait, where did you see my drawings before?"
"When you drew the comic for Spade."
"Oh..."
The answer was so simple that Brolly felt stupid for not thinking about it.
"Sorry..."
"You already apologized two times when you shouldn't."
Kuromaku looked back at his newspaper
"And you're blushing."
His tone was still formal, even when he said that phrase.
Brolly hid his face behind the sketchbook, leaving only the eyes uncovered
"I'm not..."
The lie was obvious even to him
"Of course."
A victorious smile appeared on Kuromaku's face.
