Work Text:
It was true that Kiki and Koto would often argue and fight over simple things sometimes. That they'd disagree and their ideas would clash.
But they both knew that they cared about each other. That Kiki would fight as Gavan to protect Koto's happiness and universe; that even if Koto couldn't be Gavan, she'd try her best to support and protect the other as well.
Koto was prepared to take the risk of losing all her memories of her for the sake of being able to protect her smile.
They cared about each other deeply. A connection between them the other Gavans couldn't compare. A bond so tight and pulled them ever more closer to each other.
Kiki understood that Koto would often get a bit...possessive sometimes. That glare of hers that she'd shoot towards other people when they get a little too close or act a bit flustered around her. If Koto saw someone else smile warmly towards her, she'd see that protective fury in her eyes.
"Quit trying to win over Kiki like that." She threatened Infinity.
"Kiki is my partner." She'd remind.
She was happy as long as Koto was happy. And vice versa.
Kiki was the only one who understood Koto more than anyone else, she was proud of that fact.
They were quite the opposite type of individuals back in school, although even so, they ended up being bound together. All thanks to fate's doing. Because of the fate that pulled them closer together, Kiki found herself someone to love and care about. Someone she wanted to protect, and someone who'd do anything to protect her.
There was a reason why Kanky was the emorgear that resonated with her the most. For her greatest joy was Koto, and being around her all the time filled her with happiness.
Simple gestures would spring up an echoing beat of her heart, as long as she could see Koto smile.
She'd massage her shoulders, insisting on taking over and giving her a break. Buy her favorite snacks and share her own food as well. Covering a blanket over her when she'd accidentally fall asleep.
"To protect Kiki, that is my greatest joy."
And she is her greatest joy.
