Work Text:
“Oh, Vi, you have a little—”
His candlelit quarters, long gruelling days spent apart—the moment you sat atop his bed, freshened up, smelling of linen-scented soap and changed into clean clothes, your lips met. Over, and over, and over again.
He’s turned now, relighting one of the extinguished candles, when you spot a smear of lipstick along the edge of his jawline. You reach a hand, instinctively, wanting to brush away the pink smudge.
“What?” He glances over his shoulder, and—
You pause—hand hovering mid-reach.
Oh.
“What?” He repeats, “What is it?” His voice rises slightly as his silvery eyes widen, just a fraction.
Oh, oh…
Levi’s face is covered, covered—from forehead framed by raven hair, to the delicate curve of his jaw—in kiss marks. His round cheeks, the bridge of his nose, and plush lips are all kissed in the pink shade of your lipstick.
Innocent to it all, he glances back at you, his steel-blue eyes meeting yours expectantly. Hair mussed, his bangs are pushed back, exposing a kiss mark at his temple. Likewise, the collar of his shirt is unbuttoned, lipstick smeared down his neck.
Even his cravat is smudged with pink.
He looks ridiculous—and oh, oh so adorable. The pout now forming, tugging on his rosy lower lip, is of no help either.
Perhaps you might’ve gotten a little too carried away…
“Still waiting on an answer, you know?”
His voice pulls you from your thoughts.
“Oh, it’s just…” You trail off as he raises a dark brow expectantly; unaware of how endlessly adorable he looks covered in kisses.
“Nothing,” you flash him a reassuring smile before leaning in, pressing your lips to his cheek. “It’s nothing,” you assure. Your lips brush against his pink-smeared cheeks.
He’s not convinced, but alas, doesn’t protest—instead, opting to lean in for another kiss.
