Chapter Text
“It won’t hurt,” Severus had promised, he’d whispered it as he leaned in to kiss Regulus, hands under the hem of his shirt, his stomach, his binder, his jeans. Regulus stayed still, obediently, leaning into his touch like a starving dog.
He was right; it hadn’t hurt, not really, it had stung a bit, Regulus letting out a pathetic noise, hands covering Severus’s, he couldn’t talk; that happened sometimes, when everything was too much, Regulus didn’t mind, he didn’t like words much anyway. Severus shushed him gently, kissing the top of his head. “You’ll be alright Regulus, you want to be one of us don’t you?”
Regulus nodded.
“Then shut up and take it.” Severus cooed softly. “You’ll be a proper Black won’t you? Just a bit more, then you’ll be one of us.
Regulus bit his tongue, it started to hurt, he was sore and tired, he wanted to sleep, surely he’d proved himself? He did everything they asked; he was a proper Black now, wasn’t he?
He started to move under Severus, pushing him off and sitting up, bunching the blanket to his chest, he wanted his shirt back, he felt so exposed, where was his binder?
“Regulus.”
Regulus ignored him, fishing his binder out and putting it back on, he wrenched his shirt back over his head, and pulled his boxers back up, his jeans were over by the door.
“Regulus, you bitch, what are you doing? I thought you wanted to be one of us.”
Regulus huffed and signed ‘no’, the sign looked a bit like closing your mouth, pointer finger and index finger pushed together, closing on your thumb. He grabbed his jeans, pulling them over his sore hips, Severus had left bruises on his thighs, fingerprints and mouth shaped ones, teeth marks when Regulus started to complain. Severus put a hand on Regulus’s shoulder and he turned, finger-spelling ‘fuck off’. Severus let out a frustrated growl and sat on the bed; he hated when Regulus stopped talking, it delighted Regulus, knowing that nothing Severus could do would make Regulus talk, and Severus was too much of a stubborn prick to learn asl, Regulus had learnt it when Uncle Alford brought him and Sirius to America for a week, a girl in the library had given him a book on it; he’d been sitting on a chair, crying angry tears as a cop screamed at him, he hadn’t meant to get lost, he was sorry, but he was too upset to talk, and the cop wouldn’t stop screaming, the girl had quietly left a book of asl on the table as she passed, sharing a sad look with him and signing ‘i’m sorry’
The hallway was dark and quiet, the enchanted room disappearing as soon as Regulus closed the door behind him. He let out a small whine, now that Seveus couldn’t hear. It hurt, Severus was a liar, it hurt. Regulus walked slow, wincing as he made his way up the stairs, he was going to kill Seveurs, but at least Mother would be proud, she wouldn’t care about his grades anymore, she’d forgive him for being a boy, cutting his hair and wearing a binder, she’s love him again, she had to.
