Work Text:

Rohan Kishibe, the famous mangaka was going on a date today. Not with just anyone, oh no, the love of his life. (Even if he’s too shy to admit that.) He wanted it to be an upscale, classy date, like him, but Tonio wanted something a bit more...soft and relaxing . So, he decide to indulge his boyfriend for once.

Tonio was cooking in Rohan’s dimly candlelit kitchen-dining area. The food smelled heavenly, of course, but it was taking quite a bit. I mean, he didn’t expect it to be instantly but at least a bit more sooner than later.

Rohan drummed his fingers on the table while waiting. He took note of the smells, and the scenery around him. There were roses on the table, as well as white candles there too. Something smelled of maniara and fish. It was a rather romantic setting and Rohan couldn’t help but get nervous.

Even though he was dating Tonio for quite a while he couldn’t help but get nervous. He wanted to make everything just so but he wasn’t always in control of that. And on top of that he still wasn’t the most comfortable with romantic situations.

“Mi amor,” Tonio began, “Dinner is served,” He said placing a delicious looking plate in front of Rohan. It was Lobster Fra Diavolo. The lobster looked juicy and tender and complimented the vibrant colour of the juicy red marinara. Tonio then leaned down to kiss Rohan’s cheek.

After they were done eating, Tonio quickly took care of the dishes. Soon after, they made their way over to the couch and sat there watching the fire. They talked, but not too much. Rohan could feel himself get nervous. He didn’t know why, the great Kishibe Rohan should never be nervous. But he was anyway.

Tonio sensed this and said, “Amore mio, what’s troubling you?” His voice was gentle and smooth. Rohan felt much better but also a little worse at the same time. “I’m fine.” Rohan said gruffly, without meaning to.

Before he knew anything, he was lifted onto Tonio’s lap and held tightly in his strong arms. Rohan made some sort of cut off surprised noise. “You’re not leaving here until you tell me what’s wrong,” Tonio said firmly. Rohan could feel his face heat up. He made himself comfortable before replying, “Not much of a punishment,” nuzzling into his chest. Soon after, Rohan looked up and into Tonio’s crisp blue eyes. “I feel better, it was nothing to really worry about,” Tonio smiled. They both felt a warmth growing throughout their conjoined hearts.

A little chit chat here and there, a bit of shifting around and some disgruntled “You’re hurting me,” from both of them, they finally got comfortable. A few minutes later, Tonio fell asleep, snoring lightly. Comforted by his presence, Rohan followed suit.
