Chapter 1: Awoken
1x had a massive headache, they felt as if they were floating in a void of black, but then they felt the floor on their back, sitting up, the walls were made of logs, they appeared to be in a cabin of some sort. They fiddled with their crown, it hurt to try and remove it, but whatever been making it make them feel hate, had magically vanished one day in the banlands, they looked around, they only had one sword now, they went to look at it, but the moment they tried to touch it, they got a… shock? They pulled their hand back and waved it in an attempt to get rid of the pain. They began to walk around, their footsteps quieted by the carpet beneath them, the carpet quickly changed to tile as 1x entered the kitchen, it was large enough to fit a good amount of people. Going through a small corridor on the opposite side of the room that led to the kitchen, walking through it, there were two doors, on with a nameplate that read “1x1x1x1” 1x opened the door, the room was bare, there was a bed straight across from the door the foot of the bed facing to what appeared to be a closet the blankets on the bed were ratty, and had holes in them, opening the closet held a few outfits, on the same wall that the door was on was a desk, on that desk was a picture, of a young 1x, his mother, and Telamon, 1x suddenly felt a tinge of anger spark on his back, he tried to flip the picture down, so that Telamon couldn't smirk at him, but the frame seemed stuck to the top of the desk, 1x let out an angry huff and left the picture alone, they still had to explore. They went back to the lobby, on one side was a greenhouse, it was bare but there were a lot of empty pots, dirt, and a few seeds, 1x left it all alone, walking to the front door, it was raining outside, there was a lake which reflected a large white moon, walking around 1x noticed that there was also a ladder, the ladder seemed to lead to the roof of the cabin, nothing more, nothing less. 1x walked back inside, and sat on the small couch, there was then a noise from behind them, they turned around, and saw Noli.
Noli was confused, he was cold, then suddenly he was on a carpet. Opening his eyes, the Voidstar had followed him, still hovering slightly above his shoulder. He looked over at the couch to see 1x staring at him.
“H-h-hey kid.” Noli was surprised, his voice was still glitchy, but not as loud anymore, he felt like he could control his volume on his own again, and a lot of the voices in his head were gone.
“Um… Hi Noli… any idea how we got here?” 1x asked, standing up and walking over to Noli, who stood up and dusted himself off.
“Nope, a-a-a-and by you asking the qu-qu-question, I’ll assume that y-y-y-you don't know e-e-either.” Noli said, 1x shook her head.
“No, I’m afraid I don't” they said, Noli nodded, then looked around, 1x quickly explained where everything was.
“Kitchen is down the hall through the dining room and to the left, corridor which seems to lead to bedrooms is down the hall and to the right, greenhouse is through that glass door, and there is a dock outside, along with a ladder on the side of the house which leads to the roof, though I would suggest that you look for yourself.” 1x said, then they sat down, there wasn’t a whole lot in the living room, maybe one bookcase in the corner, there was a small fire in a small fireplace as well, but that was it. Noli began looking around, everything was as 1x described, the kitchen was basic, and the corridor was pretty long despite only having two rooms, one for 1x, and one for himself, Noli peeked into his room, there was a bed and desk , as well as a wardrobe by the bed, the bed had worn blankets, most of them had holes in them, and the pillow was flatter than a pancake, on the desk was a picture of Noli and 7n7 in their teenage years, he looked at the photo, it had been taken right before Noli had been sent to find the Voidstar, he then turned and returned into the area he had woken up, 1x turned to him.
“Welcome back, how was it” They asked.
“A-a-a-a-a-about the same as how you d-d-d-described it” Noli responded, then went to go and sit down by 1x. The two sat and talked for the next few minutes, until another large sound was heard, this time coming from the greenhouse.
“Uhhh… w-w-w-w-w-we should go ch-check that out.” Noli said, 1x nodded and stood up, the two cautiously went into the greenhouse, upon first glance there was nothing, but looking around, there was a robloxian behind a table, they seemed fast asleep.
“Another p-p-p-p-person?” Noli asked looking at the figure, they were wearing a brown hat and scarf, with a brown shirt, brown pants and shoes, and black fingerless gloves, they had brown hair as well. Noli looked at 1x who was studying the figure with intensity.
“Wh-wh-wh-what should we do?” Noli asked, 1x continued looking, then responded.
“I think they may have hit their head when they got here, because you didn't take this long to wake up, regardless, maybe we should find a way to restrain them, in case when they wake up they try to hurt us.” Noli nodded, then looked around.
“Where w-w-w-would we find some rope or s-s-s-s-something of the sort????” Noli asked, looking around, there was nothing immediately eye-catching that they could use as a restraint.
“Look in the kitchen and bedrooms, maybe you can find something.” 1x said, still looking at the robloxian, Noli nodded and left, going into the kitchen, there were basic things Noli knew how to use, and some things that he did not, regardless there was nothing, maybe some towels, but nothing else. In the bedrooms there was also nothing, the blankets were too ratty to use as ties, and there was nothing to use as rope in either of the rooms, he returned defeated to 1x, who had found some wire and tied the robloxian.
“I’m b-b-back… I see you found, w-w-w-w-wire?” Noli said, 1x nodded.
“Yeah, it was in a cabinet” 1x said, at that moment, a moan was heard, and the robloxian began to move. Then they looked up, and scooted backwards as far as they could.
“AHHH!” They said, Noli looked at them with curiosity.
“W-w-w-w-well they seem more afraid o-o-o-o-of us than we w-w-w-w-w-were of them”
Azure was in a void, they were laying down, memories fuzzy of their last moments, the only thing that they could remember was a stone palate that they had been bound too, they had been sacrificed, Two Time had entered after they had been stabbed, Azure could remember their scream as they made an attempt to run to him, but Azure never got to know if they made it to him or not, suddenly he was falling, he hit his head, and fell off whatever table he had been forced onto, his head hurt and his vision began to fade, the last thing he saw was some people opening a door, then everything went black, when he awoke, he was bound, he looked up, in front of him was a figure with a green long sleeve shirt, a green crown adorned with odd rectangles, a sword and white skin, along with a glowing red left eye, the other wore a purple hoodie, gloves, long pants, and shoes, they also had a smiling mask with an odd crown above his head, and an odd shape hovering by his shoulder. Azure screamed.
“AHHH!” He screamed, and used his legs to push himself away, he quickly bumped into a wall.
“W-w-w-w-well they seem more afraid o-o-o-o-of us than we w-w-w-w-w-were of them” The nodded figure said, Azure struggled against his bindings, the wires cutting into his skin, the green and white figure walked up to him, and spoke.
“Hey, don't hurt yourself, we aren't going to hurt you.” It said, Azure stopped moving as much, his hat was falling into his eyes.
“Who are you two? Why am I here?” Azure asked, still not dropping his guard, the figures spoke up.
“Ok, first things first, I'm 1x,” the white and green figure said.
“And I’m N-N-N-N-Noli!” The purple and black figure said. Then 1x spoke again.
“Who are you.” Azure was silent for a second, then spoke.
“Azurewrath, call me Azure.” He said, then asked again. “Where am I, Why am I here.” 1x responded.
“I don't know, where we are, or why we are here” 1x said, Azure was silent, then 1x asked him a question. “Ok, one last question, will you attack us if I free you?” Azure shook his head.
“No, it would be two against one of I did” Azure said, he didn't know how strong these two were, but he didn't want to find out. 1x nodded and moved behind Azure, Azure hitched his breath, then felt the wire release, and 1x walked away, Azure stood up, the cuts on his arms weren't too deep, they were barely bleeding at all, he looked at himself, there was a nightshade on his shirt, and black fingerless gloves on his hands, there was a lump in his throat as he thought of the cultists restraining Two Time before he died, he was worried about them, Azure must have lived somehow, but Two Time likely wouldn't have, he then looked up at 1x and Noli, then around the room, he could hear heavy rain outside, and he appeared to be in a greenhouse there were pots and dirt and seeds, Azure walked over and looked through the seeds most were simple, until one caught his eye.
“Nightshades, beautiful, yet deadly” Azure said, forgetting that there were others in the room.
“Nightshades? What kind of plants are those?” 1x said walking up to look at the small package Azure was holding, despite being a passion of Azures, he found himself not wanting to talk about it.
“Oh… they are just… flowers… flowers that mean something to me is all.” Azure said, quickly stashing the seeds into a bag on his side that he hadn't noticed until then. 1x nodded.
“I guess that would make sense” then there was a small silence, only interrupted by a sneeze from Noli, then 1x continued. “So… are you a gardener or something?” He asked. Azure nodded.
“Yeah, gardening helps me escape from the world, it's quite calming” Azure said, Noli spoke up.
“S-s-s-s-s-so it’s your f-f-f-form of e-e-escapism?” Noli asked, Azure looked at him.
“I… guess?” Azure said, Noli nodded.
“C-c-c-cool” Noli finished, then there was a silence, Azure began to head for the door.
“Do you two know the layout of this place?” Azure asked before leaving the room, 1x told him the main places, Azure nodded and thanked him, then left. Looking in the kitchen, and listening to the rain reminded Azure of making food for everyone he smiled at the memories, then he left and walked over to the bedrooms, everyone had nameplates, Azure entered the room with his name on it, it had a bed with blankets that looked about as nice as the ones back in the cult, rough, itchy, and full of holes if you got the wrong one, the pillow was flat and uncomfortable, something Azure had gotten used to. The desk was full of empty books, they also had a few pens, but the item that Azure paid the most attention too, was the only photo that he had of him and Two Time, he picked it up gently, and stared at it for a few seconds, they had both looked so happy, Azure sighed and put it in a safe place, then looked at the closet, nothing really stood out to him, with a sigh he left, he stepped into the main area, where 1x and Noli seemed to be sitting, Azure looked outside, it was pouring rain, yet there were no puddles, which was odd as it had been pouring since he had gotten there, he stepped outside, and felt the rain, it was definitely water, and the ground beneath him was wet and muddy, he stood out and looked at the lake, it was breath taking to Azure, the moon’s silver reflection on the water, with ripples coming from the rain, he moved out into the dock, he didn't mind being wet due to the fact that he had often forged on rainy days, he sat down on the dock, and stared at the lake, he couldn't see what was on the other side, or even if there was another side, but everything was still, if only for a minute, his worries and fears drifted away on the rippling water, being completely encompassed in the beautiful sight, then there was a voice behind him.
“Hi! I beat you at hide and seek!” An unfamiliar voice called out, Azure looked behind him to see, a child, a red, child.
c00lkidd woke up in a room, the blankets were itchy and stiff, and the pillow had no fluff at all, he looked beside the bed and saw a desk, on the desk was a picture of him and his dad, as well as some paper and pencils. There was also a wardrobe, c00lkidd hopped up and looked inside the wardrobe, there were a few uninteresting outfits, and one that made him look like a dracobloxer. c00lkidd left the room to find that he was in a weird log house, he walked through several places before coming upon two people sitting in a living room.
“Hi!” c00lkidd waved his hand ecstaticly, the two looked at him, then the green one of the two talked to the purple one
“Noli, am I hallucinating, or is that a kid” he asked, the purple one, whose name seemed to be Noli, answered.
“N-n-n-no, I see it too, that's a k-k-k-k-k-kid.” Noli said, the green one then looked back at c00lkidd, who bounded up to him.
“Hi! I’m c00lkidd! Who are you?” He asked, the figure blinked, then answered.
“I’m… 1x” he answered, c00lkidd smiled.
“Nice to meet you Mr. 1x!” c00lkidd said, 1x looked at Noli, who shrugged.
“Nice to meet you… c00lkidd.” 1x said, Noli then waved.
“Hi. I’m Noli” Noli said, c00lkidd nodded.
“I heard your name when Mr. 1x was talking to you! Nice to meet you too Mr. Noli!” c00lkidd said, Noli nodded.
“Nice to meet y-y-y-you too kid.” Noli said, then there was silence, and c00lkidd realized that he didn't know where he was.
“Where are we?” He asked, 1x and Noli looked at each other
“We… don't a-a-a-a-actually know…” Noli said, c00lkidd was confused, adults were supposed to know everything.
“Is there anyone we could ask?” c00lkidd asked, 1x shook his head.
“The only other person here doesn't seem to know either” 1x said, c00lkidd lit up.
“There's another person!?” c00lkidd asked with a lot of excitement. Noli nodded.
“Y-y-y-yeah, he’s-” c00lkidd cut Noli off.
“No! Don't tell me where he's hiding! That would be cheating!” c00lkidd said, Noli raised his hands in surrender.
“M-m-m-my apologies!” He said, c00lkidd then ran off and looked around, this mystery person wasn’t hiding in the kitchen, or any of the rooms, and they weren't in the weird glass room either, so c00lkidd raced outside, and saw a figure on the dock, he ran up, it was the mystery person!
“Hi! I beat you at hide and seek!” c00lkidd called out, the person turned and looked at c00lkidd.
“Um… I wasn't playing hide and seek, but good job!” He said.
“I’m c00lkidd! Who are you?” c00lkidd asked. The man then spoke
“Call me Azure.” He said, and c00lkidd nodded.
“Ok Mr. Azure!” Then c00lkidd went to sit by Azure, who scooted over to make room, probably a little too far in c00lkidd’s opinion.
“What are you looking at?” c00lkidd asked, Azure didn't look at c00lkidd when he spoke.
“I’m looking at how the moon reflects off the lake, and how its reflection is distorted by the rain drops falling on the lake” he said, only then did c00lkidd realize that it was raining. c00lkidd looked at the lake.
“It's pretty.” he said, Azure nodded, then sighed after a few seconds.
“We should probably get back inside before we get sick.” He said while standing up, c00lkidd nodded and stood up as well, leading Azure into the cabin, 1x and Noli looked at the two as they walked in.
“Crimony how are you two not soaked.” 1x said, mainly looking at Azure, who was somehow completely dry. Azure looked at himself, then spoke.
“I honestly have no idea.” he said, c00lkidd looked at himself as well, and noticed that he was dry too.
“Whoa, magic rain” c00lkidd said, Noli laughed.
“Well, magic rain or not, it's weird, you should be soaking the carpets right now.” 1x said, there was suddenly a noise in the kitchen. c00lkidd started to go and investigate before being caught by 1x.
“No, I don't know what that was, but it could be dangerous, so you need to stay back.” 1x said, before gently guiding c00lkidd behind him, and walking off, a few seconds later a noise was then heard from the kitchen, which Noli and Azure went to see, c00lkidd followed behind them. Looking into the kitchen, there was a pot on the floor, 1x standing in the doorway, and a man with bandages on his head in the kitchen.
John Doe didn't remember a lot of things, he remembered waking up in a hospital after some kind of accident, but he couldn't remember what caused it or what happened, he knew that he had a wife, but he didn't remember what she looked like, everything before waking up in that hospital was blurry and foggy, with only a few clear memories. Now he was in a kitchen. He looked around, then looked at the door upon hearing footsteps.
“Hello?” A green and white figure appeared, John was startled by them, accidentally walking into a pot on the counter, and knocking it to the floor.
“AHH” John screamed slightly at the un-familiar robloxian, and then more of them arrived.
“Um… hi… sorry I didn't mean to scare you.” The green one said.
“Ah…. it's… it's ok.” John replied. “Who… are you? Why are we here?” The robloxian quickly replied.
“I’m 1x, and you are?”
“John Doe” The red child suddenly ran away, catching everyone's attention.
“Do they have s-s-some sort of thing against them?” The purple robloxian asked, 1x turned.
“I thought you two were staying with c00lkidd?” They asked, the purple robloxian stepped back, and the brown one did as well.
“Th-th-there was a loud noise, so we-we-we came to help you if you ne-ne-ne-needed it.” The purple robloxian said, 1x sighed.
“Well now c00lkidd’s run off, go find him” 1x said, the purple and brown robloxians both turned and ran. 1x then turned back to John.
“Oh… sorry I forgot you were there.” 1x said, John nodded.
“It's ok.” John said, then John decided that he needed to get out of the kitchen, 1x moved out of the way, and John looked around.
“Where are we?” John asked, this was a weird cabin it seemed, but not one John recognized.
“I’m not fully sure” 1x said, John nodded, then walked into the small corridor across from the kitchen. The doors all had names, “1x1x1x1”, “Noli”, “Azurewrath”, “c00lkidd”, and John himself. John opened the door with his name on it, inside was a bed with old, worn covering, and a flat pillow, there was a desk with a photo of him and a woman with her face blocked out, somehow John felt that she was important to him, there was also a closet where there were a few clothes in. John brushed most of them away and walked out of the room. Then he went and explored, the room between the bedrooms and the kitchen seemed to be the dining room, there were plenty of tables, and one large table which stood out against everything else, John looked at it for a second, then continued, at some point while John had been looking around his room, 1x had left him to go and look for the kid, at least that was what John assumed. Entering the living room, the other two robloxians were talking to the red child who was hugging his knees to his chest in a corner of the room.
“I’m pretty sure he w-w-w-wouldn’t hurt you” The purple robloxian said, the brown one looked over, and gestured for John to wait.
“How do you know? Dad used to tell me all sorts of stories about Mr. Doe. About how scary he was.” The child said, John felt sad, stories were often told, but not true, he didn't know what to say, so he just stayed there and waited.
“Y-y-y-you could ask him yourself-elf-elf” The purple robloxian said. The child looked up.
“Would you protect me if he tried to hurt me?” the child asked, the purple robloxian spoke again.
“Of course I w-w-w-would!” The purple robloxian said, the child nodded.
“Ok… but can we wait for Mr. Doe to come to us?” The child asked, this time the brown robloxian spoke up.
“He’s already here.” They said, and motioned that John could come out now.
“Hi.” John said, making himself seen. The child tensed slightly, then the purple robloxian put a hand on his shoulder and the child relaxed slightly.
“Are the stories true? Do you hurt kids like me?” The child asked, John couldn't help but smile a little.
“No, I don't hurt kids, I won't hurt you, you're safe.” He said, the child nodded.
“Ok… I’m c00lkidd.” He said, John smiled.
“Nice to meet you c00lkidd.” John said, c00lkidd let a little smile shine.
“So… Your name is John Doe?” The brown robloxian said, John nodded. “It's a pleasure to meet you, I’m Azurewrath, but please call me Azure.” He said.
“And I’m Noli!” The purple robloxian cut in. John nodded.
“It’s nice to meet all of you.” He said, then 1x came in.
“Oh. I see you have met everyone, has the issue with c00lkidd been solved?” 1x asked, John nodded.
“Just some stories that needed to be cleared up.” Looking at c00lkidd he still didn't seem too comfortable, so John decided to continue looking around, the first thing to catch his eye was the glass door.
“Where does this lead?” He asked, walking over.
“It leads to a greenhouse.” Azure responded. John nodded and went inside, it was a nice little place, you could hear rain through the thin glass walls and roof, hopefully the sun would shine eventually so that the plants could grow. The seeds were all very pretty and interesting names, some were out in cartons, others were in packets, some were even in bags. John then looked out at the outside, it was raining, there was little light outside, but there were a few lamps, which allowed John to see the rain clearly. He then passed by everyone and went to the porch, and just sat there, the rain was calming, and the noise it made was even nicer, suddenly John saw a robloxian drop in front of him, they had black skin and red facial features as well as a guests baseball cap and guest jacket, they also had red horns and claws, and a red tail with an odd square at the end. They quickly got up.
“H£||0”
Sixer was tired, they didn't know where they were, but they could hear rain, they heard someone move beside them, so they got up, looking over, it was a man in an orange long sleeve shirt, with a grey hip bag being used as a back pack, jeans that were slightly ripped, grey lace up shoes, and bandages on his head.
“H£||0” Sixer said to the man, cringing slightly at their own voice.
“Um… are you ok?” The man asked, Sixer realized that the man had likely seen them appear out of thin air.
“UM ¥£§, | @M 0K.” Sixer said, the robloxian looked at them.
“Ok.” They said, Sixer then looked out at the rain, and realized that they weren't sure where they were anymore.
“UH… WH£R£ @R£ W£?” Sixer asked, the robloxian stood up.
“None of us know.” The robloxian said, Sixer looked at them.
“¥0U @R£ N0T @L0N£?” Sixer asked, the robloxian nodded.
“There are a few more inside.” At that moment, a green shirted robloxian with white skin came out.
“Um… hello.” They said, looking at Sixer and the other robloxian. For some reason, they looked familiar to Sixer, and they didn't know why.
“H|.” Sixer replied, the green and white robloxian looked at them in surprise when they spoke.
“Ok… introductions… I’m 1x, who are you?” The green and white robloxian said.
“€@LL M£ §|×£R” They replied. 1x and the yellow robloxian nodded
“Nice to meet you Sixer, I’m John Doe.” The yellow robloxian said, Sixer nodded, more people came to the door, a purple robloxian with black gloves and shoes and a purple comedy face mask, a hatted robloxian wearing mostly brown except for some black fingerless gloves, and a red child looking robloxian.
“Sixer, these are the others in our group.” 1x said, moving slightly so that Sixer could see all of them.
“Whoa! They have horns like I do!” The child said, Sixer went up to touch them, and felt some small horns, likely made of the corruption overtaking their body.
“¥£@H, GU£§§ | D0” Sixer said, the child smiled.
“I’m c00lkidd!” He said, Sixer smiled, c00lkidd then proceeded to introduce the other two.
“This is Mr. Noli! And this one is Mr. Azure!” He said excitedly, the two made slight waves, letting the child go ahead and talk. “And then you’ve already met Mr. Doe and Mr. 1x!” Sixer nodded.
“TH@T | H@\/£” They said.
“I was trying to convince them to make some cards so that we could all play games!” c00lkidd said. “You could help if you want!” Sixer nodded, then looked at their hands, they could move the claws to grab things, but they didn't have a lot of mobility with them almost none at all, therefore they didn't know how helpful they would be.
“| €@N TR¥” Sixer said, c00lkidd was about to lead them inside when Noli caught them.
“Hey k-k-k-kid, maybe you could ch-ch-ch-chill out, they j-j-j-just got here, and probably need-ed-ed-ed to adjust.” He said, c00lkidd looked at Noli, then Sixer, then smiled.
“Ok! Let me know when you want to help!” He said, then he ran off to go and start drawing. Noli sighed.
“You should probably g-g-g-get used to it here, doesn't seem like there's a way out-t-t-t” He said, Sixer nodded and went to go and explore, they passed a dining room into a corridor, there they saw a door with a nameplate “Guest 666” Sixer squinted at it, and tried to scratch the name plate, but it didn't budge at all, they sighed and entered the room, thankfully it was the kind of doorknob that allowed them to push it down and the door would open, not that they could open doors with twisty knobs, it was simply a lot harder. The room had a bed, with a mattress and blanket and pillow, much nicer than what they were used to, even if the blanket was itchy and full of holes, and the pillow was flat, the mattress wasn't just stone and there were actual blankets and pillows, Sixer knew that they had these things before being banned, but they couldn't remember them. The desk was made of solid wood, and there was a photo of Sixer and Noob long before Sixer began using scripts, back when they could still be considered a normal robloxian, and not a monster. They smiled a sad smile at the photo, and looked in the wardrobe. It was full of clean clothes with no holes in them, Sixer smiled, then left their room, and frowned at the nameplate, it was the only problem with the room, they then looked in the kitchen, there wasn't a whole lot in it but there was enough. After searching those two places, Sixer saw a glass door that lead to a room with glass walls and a glass roof, there were six small tables three columns of two with pots in a shelf on the left side of the room, as well as some seeds, on the right side of the room there were bags of dirt. There wasn’t a whole lot in the room, but perhaps eventually it would be filled with plants. Turning around c00lkidd was happily drawing away, so Sixer went over.
“¥0U §@|D ¥0U W£R£ M@K|NG €@RD§?” Sixer asked, c00lkidd nodded, not even looking up from his work, most of the cards had suits that didn't even exist, and there were a lot more than 4 suits, but Sixer decided to help anyway, perhaps they could all make up a new game or something, they cut out the cards and made the neatest stack that they could, eventually the others all joined in, and everyone started laughing and having a good time, then, there was a sudden noise, like something plastic had fallen onto the nearby table.
“What was that?” 1x said, getting up to investigate, everyone got up to follow them, and on the table… was a clock, an analog clock with “30 MINUTES” displayed in red text against a black screen, then the clock said “29 minutes” it was counting down, everyone became confused.
“What on earth could that be?” 1x muttered, c00lkidd seemed un bothered, and went back to drawing, Everyone else was extremely confused. They all patiently waited as the clock ticked down, until it had 1 minute left, Sixer began to panic. Then they were suddenly in an unfamiliar place, with c00lkidd next to them, a voice was then heard.
“weLcOme tO thE fOrsAkEn rEaLm, enJoy Your pErmaNenT sTaY”
Sixer was confused. Permanent stay? But they didn't get too long to question it before hearing an interesting song, looking at the song's source it appeared to be coming from someone that Sixer didn’t recognize, though c00lkidd seemed to know him.
