I'm not the greatest artist but there are some part of the design that are pretty important. His trench coat was his father's, but I like to think that he's a lot shorter/smaller than Gregory, so he's kind of swamped in it. Otherwise, I don't see him not wearing a red suit, I think that it's just a natural part of Miles' progression as a character to realize his favorite color is red and to have his style mostly revolve around that. No cravat because he wasn't raised in a Victorian mansion and living with a guy that thinks the 1900s aristocracy style is still in fashion, so I gave him a blue tie. In canon, Phoenix wears a pink/red tie and I always thought it was a nod to Miles of sorts, so I figured doing something similar here would be the go-to. Of course, he wears his defense attorney's badge in the same place Gregory did. I gave him glasses even though I'm absolute ASS at drawing them, Miles is not escaping being blind in any sort of way. Finally, I wanted to make his bangs a little longer than they are in canon because I like to think he doesn't care as much for his appearance as canon Miles would.
