Chapter Text
Red and Pink find Chloe waiting outside the gate for them. It's been a month since the whole Maddox Hatter taking-down situation. Red notices the worried look on Chloe's face. When they make it to her, Chloe grabs Red's arm and drags her away.
They finally make it to a secluded area. "Ow Chlo, you know for an HK you really do not consider your arm strength."
"I just remembered something, and it's making me realise either we've messed up again, or things are finally going right, and something tells me it's not the latter," Chloe explains with her arms crossed.
"Okay, let's uh take a breath and tell me what you remembered," Red says, putting her hands on Chloe's shoulders. Chloe takes a moment and breathes, "I've been having these visions, flashes of this timeline's past, and we were childhood friends."
Red shakes her head, confused. "And that means?"
"It means! What if others remember their past timeline lives too, or the two timelines are converging into one." Chloe breathes in and out again. "Remember, after we caught Maddox, your mom had said off with his head?"
Red winces slightly and nods. "Well, what if others like Pink remember that they aren't from the original timeline?"
"I think you might be right. I've been getting flashes of my mother and Pink. We need to keep this extra quiet, Chloe, not even to Max."
Chloe looks confused, "Why would I tell Max?"
Red gives her an amused look, but before she can ask, Pink comes running up to them. She grabs their arms and starts dragging them down the steps.
"I told you guys we'd find them!" Pink shouts excitedly.
"We found the lost princesses, how original," Max jokes.
They slowly spread out to their lockers as the morning goes. Max and Chloe walk to their potions class together slowly.
"So what was that about between you and Red?" He asks, a playful smile on his face. Chloe freezes and tries to cover it with an awkward smile.
"Uh, it was nothing, don't worry about it. Oh, looks like we made it to potions." She quickly walks into the class and sits at her desk; it doesn't help that Max sits next to her.
As she sits down, a boy she doesn't immediately recognise sits in Max's spot. He has black hair and soft features.
"Well, hello there, princess. I'm Neal White, Snow White's son. I've seen you around, and I wanted to ask if you would like to go on a date with me?" He says with all the confidence in the world.
Chloe glances behind her to see Max looking unimpressed at the whole situation. "She clearly doesn't want to go out with you if she hasn't answered yet." Max points out.
The young prince stands up with a smirk. "Is that a VK trying to play a hero? Why don't you go and play in your own leagues and get turned to stone or something? I'm sure she doesn't want a villain annoying her," he says as he points a finger in Max's chest.
Chloe quickly stands up to block Neal from Max. "The 'she' has a voice, and he's my friend, so I would really appreciate it if you didn't speak for me without even knowing me."
Max puts a hand on her shoulder and tugs her away slightly. "It's okay, princess, I'll sit somewhere else this time." He walks over to the chairs in the back before Chloe can stop him. The stubborn prince sits down with a satisfied look on his face as the teacher walks in, forcing everyone to sit.
After class, Chloe tries to go after Max, but Neal stops her again and starts talking about how iconic their legacies are. Once she finally gets away from him, she can't find Max

Chloe puts her phone away, frustrated and heads to her next class.
