The insanity started when she went out with Bam for dinner.
Miu had planned to go out with Bam that day because the girl had been bothering her for days, saying she hasn't spent time with her recently and as a dutiful friend she agreed, well, mostly
...partly because Lena was busy.
"You're finally showing yourself to me" was Bam's greeting to her before she even got to sit down. They decided to meet up at a yakitori place cozy and filled with the smell of charcoal and grilled meat. "Hello to you too, P'Bam" she quipped with sarcasm directed to the other woman. Her friend only smiled at her.
"Seriously if I hadn't found out that Lena had a date today...I wouldn't have been able to get you out" the woman made a disappointed sound.
"What does P'Lena being on a date have to do with me going out with you?"
"Everything, because if Lena was free today then you would definitely be with her" Bam answered matter-of-factly, deadpan while raising her eyebrows.
But P'Na was on a date huh?
It was a well known fact that their company didn't put restrictions on dating. They didn't ban their artists from dating in or out of the industry, inside or outside the company. As long as they didn't cause any big scandal and we're being careful then they're free. And Lena made use of that fact very well.
Miu had been friends with Lena long before their partnership started and she knew very well that Lena went out with people. She was well aware of that, the only problem was that it would have been on Miu's favor if she was the one Lena was taking out on those dates but she wasn't and it was slowly driving her insane.
"Text me once you get home, okay?" Bam reminded her for the fourth time after they finished eating and was waiting for their rides. "Yes mommm, you are so worrisome you know" that got her a pinch in the arm, Bam looking at her sternly which she only laughed at. Her friends were really inclined to worry about her so much.
After arriving at her condo she immediately changed her clothes and laid in bed. While staring at the ceiling she replayed how Bam told her that the person Lena was meeting today was a friend of P'Oom that they probably met through the actress as well and that they decided to go out for drinks.
She had messaged Lena that morning asking what she was up to for the day and the only answer she got was:
Lalee 🦋: Just going out with a friend today. I'll see you in a few days ❤️
So she really went out for a date huh. Why couldn't she just tell me it was a date?
She sighed loudly.
She could only look up at her ceiling and imagining Lena ordering drinks for her date making jokes and being flirty. Her mind wondering if Lena was having a good time, if they'll end up with a second date or is this one of the one date ones. Miu knew Lena dated and it was really really making her go crazy because her stupid heart was squeezing with just the thought of Lena being flirty with others and being so close to them.
She thought she was done with her feelings for Lena. That her crush from years ago had completely disappeared, after all she stayed good friends with her without any problems. When Lena called her to audition for My Safe Zone during that time she said she was only grabbing the opportunity because she wants to act with someone she was already close to and besides she didn't mind acting in a GL because she was queer herself. She told herself it was just a good opportunity but after becoming partners with Lena and officially forming a partnership she was starting to question herself.
Lena was friendly, approachable, and extremely polite but she was also flirty, funny, and teased Miu all too well. It was stupid, really, forming a crush towards someone she knows was only doing her job. They were partners, a pair, a CP so they were expected to perform some kind of fanservice and she knew that all too well but its becoming a problem when her heart doesn't understand the line between fanservice and reality. She has tried ignoring it, she really did, she really have. She tried ignoring the little jumps her heart does when Lena says something unhinged, something flirty while looking at her as if she knew she already won with that smile of hers.
But it gets to a point that denying it only makes Miu a fool. She was a reasonable person, she was rational and have tried to contain her feelings but it gets hard especially if the person you're trying your best not to fall for is constantly making your heart beat too loud.
And then there's the dates.
After the promotion period for their drama ended their schedule got lighter and that was when Lena started going out. The first time Miu heard about it she was getting ready to go home after a shoot and was sitting besides Lena when P'Dew started teasing.
"Oh I heard an interesting piece of info, Schuett you have a date with Sam? You finished promoting so you're back at dating huh? Isn't she so fast nong Miu?" During that time she was occupied arranging her bag but once the words date and Lena were spoken her whole body snapped, immediately alert. That teasing tone P'Dew used and her mischievous eyes snapped Miu out of her head. "You're going out on a date with P'Sam?" was an immediate answer looking at Lena with wide eyes. "Did I not tell you? She asked me a few weeks ago and we're only eating out" Lena said to her casually shrugging and even maybe a bit embarrassed, her cheeks slightly warming, bashful.
And that was exactly the problem. Lena approached her dates with that casual carefree energy. It was a problem because it wasn't anything casual to Miu because each date was driving her by the edge, it was tortuous because Lena acted lovey-dovey towards her when they were in front of the cameras, of course for fan service and then they'll get off work and she finds that Lena's going out on a date. Lena was extremely good at playing with Miu's feelings without her intending or knowing, and it infuriated Miu because it was unreasonable for her to feel that way in the first place.
Her phones ringtone brought her back to reality, Lena was calling her. Her phone showed the caller ID 'Lalee 🦋'.
Sighing she answered knowing exactly where the phone call was going to be about.
"Hello kha, Lady M!"
"Hi P'Na"
"Ow, why are being so cold huh, I said hello kha, Lady M!" She could practically see the pout on Lena's lips. She sighed.
"Hi kha, Madam Lee" she answered"
"There better! How was your day? Did you eat a lot?"
This was how they always were. If she didn't spend the day with Lena she was going to be on a call with her till late at night. Lena would finish whatever business she had that day and then after going home she'll call Miu ask about her day, then she'll tell her about hers and most often than Miu would like it Lena would be telling her about her day which would most definitely include her date and Miu hated it, she didn't want to hear about it but what can she do, it was a friend telling her about a date so she'll act surprised and even tease Lena about it.
Really these calls were making her a better actor.
It was driving her insane how everytime she'll try to act as if she wasn't getting affected by these stories, how jealous she gets when Lena tells her that this person was so fun to be with and how fun her day was, that she wanted to spend time with this person. It was crazy how she acted as if she wasn't getting hurt by it, how she'll act all happy for Lena sometimes even teasing her about finally finding the one. She knows if she continues doing this she'll just go lose herself, she doesn't know how long she can act okay, she knows at some point she'll lose her temper and she might do something stupid so she really really needs to do something to make her feelings go away.
It was 2 AM when the reverie came to her.
She hasn't slept yet, after her phone call with Lena she's just been lying on her bed for two hours, her mind was restless. And through all the mess in her head she came up with a brilliantly stupid idea but for a sleep deprived Miu it was genius.
What if she just did what Lena was doing? She could go out on dates and maybe she'll find someone that'll make the silly little crush that she has for Lena disappear?

"Hello kha, P'Bam!" It was eight in the morning, Miu barely slept, she just finished breakfast and was calling Bam first thing in the morning to finally start her plan.
"Uhh what's up?" a groggy Bam answered her in the other line, okay maybe she was getting ahead of herself here especially calling Bam so early. "Morning kha Phi! I'm just calling to ask...if you can arrange a blind date for me?"
"..."
"P'Bam? Are you there?" No one was answering her on the other line.
Until she heard something falling on Bam's side.
