Work Text:

You were walking through town, not paying much mind to what was going on around you. All smiles and laughter, you strolled through with no particular purpose in mind. There was some commotion a ways away, but it didn’t seem like anything you needed to get involved with. Everything in Piltover had been tense, that blue haired girl sending most people into a state of fear and reluctance to even leave their homes. She’d been seen here a handful of times, and always left the area in complete and utter disarray.

You hadn’t seen her more than once, and she was too busy starting fights and running away from the soldiers stationed that she hadn’t even noticed you. She intrigued you, and as much as you knew it was probably a bad idea, you kind of wanted to talk to her. See where her mind was at and give you insights on what the underground was like. It wasn’t talked about often up here, so your own curiosity was nearly overwhelming.

Without knowing it, that chance would arise far sooner than you’d anticipated. Seeing soldiers running amok, you only glanced around before seeing that very blue-haired girl you’d been wondering about. She was nearly entirely covered in the shadows of the alley, and noticed you at the same time you’d noticed her. You opened your mouth to speak, but she grabbed onto your arm and pulled you into the alley with her.

“Shhhh, don’t give me away by saying something stupid.” She said quietly, and her hand covered your mouth to keep you quiet as well. She paused, realizing you were making no attempts to pull away from her or make any noise. “The hell’s wrong with you?” She huffed, but her brow furrowed as if she were looking for any answers in your expression she could find. You almost looked EXCITED to be in this alley with her.

With a confused look, she took her mouth off your hand. She put a finger in front of her lips and glanced around before her eyes settled back on you. You spoke, and it only served to make her more confused. “Hi! Your name is Jinx right? It’s nice to meet you! I’ve heard a ton about you.” You were practically beaming, a wide smile on your face. “What are you doing up here this time?” You asked with a slight tilt of your head.

“Uh…you know I kill a lot of people, right? Why shouldn’t I kill you, too?” But the situation was proving to be far more interesting than she thought it would be. To most, that comment and her smile would be intimidating. Hell, a lot of people ran the other way if they saw her smiling like that. Besides, usually if people got close enough to her to see that smile, they certainly never saw a damn thing again.

“Oh!” You said, before giving her a softer smile. “I guess that’s true. But I’ve heard so much about you I wanted to talk to you too!” Your innocent words had her jaw dropping slightly, even barely glancing at her gun as she pointed it to your head. “Oh. Right. You kill people. But before you kill me can I ask some questions?” There was eagerness in your voice, and you even seemed to lean closer to her as you asked.

Your response was so wildly unexpected that she couldn’t stop laughing. She knew people could hear it, and didn’t even really care. “You’re such a weird girl!” The words were barely audible between her laughs, tears nearly forming in her eyes from how hard she’d been laughing. “You’re crazy! No one ever smiled when I pointed a gun at their head. This is great!” She giggled, leaning closer to you until your lips were almost touching.

Your smile only widened as she spoke, shaking your head as you laughed too. “But it’s exciting!” You said, not phased by how close she was to you. “I’ve been wanting to know more about you ever since I heard about you!” Another laugh, and you could see the deranged look in her eyes. Somehow, a more subtle expression just like that was in your eyes as well. “A lot of the people you killed kinda sucked anyway. So it’s weird a bunch of people are upset by it. This place is boring! And you’ve made it so much more fun!” Your words were clearly genuine, and left her with an ear to ear grin.

“You’re just like me!” She said, nearly cheering. But the cheers grew quieter as more soldiers seemed to be nearing where you were at. She groaned dramatically, head tilted upwards as she glared at the sky. Only moments later, she continued to dangle the gun beside your head, the other gripping your chin almost painfully. “I hate that I gotta go, but you’ll see me again dollface. Promise!” She grinned leaning forward and kissing teasingly at the corner of your lips.

It had you grinning right back at her, before you both dissolved into giggles. “You better!” You pushed lightly at her shoulders, easing her towards the opposite direction of the soldiers. “But I expect a real kiss next time if you’re just gonna tease me with that little one!” Your words sounded so innocent that it had her eyes darkening. She could only laugh, nodding as she rushed out of the alley.

You really had no idea what you were in for. And while stealth was never really her strong suit, she made it her goal to find out everything about you. You’d catch her on top of a building, knelt down and looked at you from a distance. Both of your smiles would grow, waving excitedly at her. It would only be a matter of time before she completely snapped and made sure you never left her side. It was thrilling, seeing her often off to the side just looking at you like you were the focus of her world.

While she may be obsessed with you, you felt entirely the same. She brought a thrill into your world that you never knew you needed. And while she often watched from afar, you left your window unlocked in case she finally decided to face you again. Sometimes you could swear you saw her in the dark of your room, but the figure was gone by the time you’d rubbed the sleep from your eyes.

God…the things you did to her. She hadn’t found someone that matched her crazy, and she’d be damned if she didn’t truly shatter your world views. Often she’d even skip out on her previous mission if she saw you. She’d burn the world down with you, and it was only a matter of time before she broke you down and made you hers. Have you ever wondered why people only flirted with you once? Sometimes no one ever even saw them again.

But in your twisted little mind…you could only hope that she was the one behind it. Your innocence of the situation only made her more feral, and something about it made you eager. Eager to see her again, eager to talk to her again…and eager to see just how far she’d go for you.

No matter who it hurt along the way.
