Shinobu wakes up with the sound of soft knocking coming from her door.
"Shinobu sama, are you awake?"
She hears Aoi's voice, sounding a bit worried. That's when she noticed the time. Its almost noon..I overslept again..
"Shinobu sama..?"
Aoi had opened the door, she was carrying a glass of hot water she assumes as steam is rising from it.
Shinobu puts on a warm smile, a bit genuine than her default smile that she puts infront of everyone, her girls deserved better than that.
"Thanks Aoi"
Shinobu takes the glass from Aoi's hands and a few sips from it, but stops for a second before swallowing.
"Aoi, did you add peppermint in it?"
Aoi nodded, the worried look appearing in her face again.
"When I tried to wake you up earlier, Shinobu sama. You were sweating profusely so I thought you would wake up with a fever"
Shinobu warmly smiled at her wanting to ease her worries. She had to stay up all night to do more research on how to safely apply the wisteria dosage to herself as well as examining Nezuko's blood cells.She had promised tanjiro before he went off on a mission with Uzui that she would do her best to help Nezuko,the request suprised herself as much as did the boy. Her?helping a demon?But remembering her nee-san's words, she can't say that she regrets it.
"I am fine, Aoi. I just slept a bit later than usual."
A bit of a frown appeared on Aoi's face
"You also said that yesterday."She mumbled low enough that shinobu almost didn't hear it.
"Aoi-"
"SHINOBU-SAMA!! SHINOBU-SAMA!!YOU HAVE A LETTER FROM OYAKATA-SAMA"
Shinobu moves her attention to her crow that was now sitting outside her bedroom window, she gets up from the bed and goes to open the window so that En can come inside. She takes the letter from the crow's legs and reads through it. 20 missing people in a week that's concerning..This will be a good opportunity to test out the effectiveness of my new batch of poison..
"Is it going to be a long mission Shinobu-sama?"
"It might be, it would probably take 2 days"
Aoi nods and stands up to leave, probably to inform the others of her mission.
