Work Text:

It all started when Parrot faced the death of his friends.

Especially Wifies.

Parrot had these nightmares for a long time, making him somehow feel dislocated. Although Reina and Theo comforted him for as long as they could, the two couldn't seem to see Parrot get any better.

"Parrot, dude. Are you sure you're fine? It doesn't look like you are." Theo commented, worry creeping up for his best friend.

"I'm okay, I swear." He sighed.

He just wished they would believe him. He wished that Theo wouldn't worry too much, and hoped Reina wouldn't be too sketchy about it.

"Parro--"

"I'm fine!"

Was he, really? After all, those drowsy and tedious days of Dean and Wifies' deaths still kept eating him alive. For him, 'fine' was just a word to utter out.

"..If that's what you say, man."

.

Snow piled up through the streets of Parrot's kingdom, citizens unable to get enough resources-- some even dying from the cold.

Through Parrot's walks, he sensed movement in the corner of his eye. Familiar shadows making familiar gestures. He creeped up closer to them, hiding behind blocky, rough rocks-- peeking his head out.

Laughter came out, soft and gentle. It was like Parrot heard it before. Like the old times when Wifies and Dean made riddles and jokes, before horror happened.

"Wifies? Is..-is that you, bro?"

That spyglass-- the one Parrot saw, was all his. It used to be.

"Only if you think it is me, Parrot."

Parrot's eyes then moved to Dean. The figure just stood next to Wifies, silent and motionless, smiling.

Parrot thought. He couldn't think properly, actually. Was this just a nightmares of their fragile tragedies? He saw their death messages.

.

Parrot blinked, rubbing his eyes. As he opened them back open, the distant figures vanished. Gone, just as all those overthinking messages were deleted in history.

He felt like tearing up, his throat in a globus sensation. They were just nightmares of his. His tears immediately dried up from the cold weather, Parrot's face now covered in tiny snow particles.

It was all just a horrific tragedy.
